    Thanks for all the info, I just ordered my first tufting gun and I'm trying to figure out all the other things I'll need, this was real helpful.
    That painters tool you use to put the backing glue stuff on with is a mud knife for sheetrock, and they make some almost twice as long as the one you got, that might make it even easier for the big rugs. That's one thing I already got a few of, lol

      Yeah, the AK-1 Cut Pile is the one for beginners and pros alike (it's the one she uses).
      Just be sure to buy it in a good store and not Amazon, since there are a million counterfeit ones and are made with cheaper materials.
