Just bought 2019 t6 inscription and love the car almost did not look at because of the engine being a 4 cylinder .. I test drove it wow impressed I bought one of the best 4 cylinder ever as got the polestar software installed.. for another 40hp .. hands down better then Mercedes or BMW
I'm also curious, how is the Infotainment (UI) responsiveness holding up? I know that on the earlier release they had issues with responsiveness, but I believe they added another chip on the 2018 model. Also, general reliability, etc...
I want to know one thing... This is a luxury car.... with a 4 cyl. The engine should NOT be felt in the cabin. My mother has a BMW X4 and the engine is almost and noisy and I can feel the vibration in the cabin which is perfectly normal and acceptable for a Honda, but not this.... Is it smooth like at least a V6? If not, I'm totally not interested.
So I liked this review! I’m looking for a more luxury vehicle (upgrading from Kia) & this Volvo has really stuck to me. I won’t be purchasing until next year but I’m doing my homework very early.
@@JulezWinnfield I would say, economically literate. Can I afford to purchase this car new? Absolutely, I can. Will I, or most any other car new for that matter? Definitely, not.
@@JulezWinnfield No, It's $70k new and drops like a rock. 2 year old models sell for less than half price. Even with an extended warranty it's a great value. Top line luxury cars drop like a rock in value and are great to buy used if your careful and lucky. It's the mid level cars that hold value, no one wants the top of the line used. I was shopping for an Acura TL years ago and went with the RL cause it cost less and was a way better car.
James Wilson get the Volvo S90 17 model is four inches shorter than the 18 model and get it in inscription with the 19 speakers 1400 watt audio system.
His trim does have the park assist. Although it's actually a separate package that must be purchase. I think it's 'Convenience Package'. I've played with it and it's pretty nice, actually. I'm not sure I'll ever require it's use since I can parallel park myself, but it's cool. I know it's there because of the pilot assist feature, but why not?
A suggestion for the back seat size review, have the driver seat set for you and the front passenger seat all the way back and slide over to it for us to see how much leg room is lost. I'm 6'5" and I always have my seat all the way back.
I love your videos Dave. I would really love it if you would do a 'What's the Difference' video between 2018 Toyota Camry SE vs XSE! That would answer many questions I have about the Camry's features.
I'm from Western Europe and I've got a question. What's with Americans and long wheelbase cars? You can only buy the long wheelbase S90 in the U.S., but only the standard wheelbase version in Europe. Why do Americans prefer long wheelbase?
I don't think long wheelbase is preferred but as an alternative to the German big bodies, it's pretty good. Made no sense to offer both wheelbases. This change seemed to be more for the company's benefit than the consumer...
Ford is abandoning passenger sedans entirely. The only car they are going to produce will be the Mustang. They are going to exclusively build trucks and SUVs. Personally I think this is an extremely short sided business decision. I should note that their luxury car division will continue to make Lincolns.
No disrespect, but why don't you just buy a real car? You could get a used s550 Benz, 2009 BMW 750li, or Lexus ls460l. My ls460L has more room than this Volvo S90. My homeboy has a Lincoln MKS and it has no room in the back, but it is just a dressed up Taurus. Even the short wheelbase LS460 is bigger than the Taurus.
@@josephdale69 I have to respectfully disagree on the Buick. I sat in a few and they didn't have any luxury feel to me. I'd say Cadillac and maybe Lincoln, but they are still far behind their foreign rivals. Have you seen the 2021 s-class? I know it's not a car, but the 2021 Escalade has the best looking American interior.
@@drjd2real I think Cadillac is kind of in a league of its own. Not that it’s better than it’s European rivals but I think it’s similar to the Jeep brand. People buy them due to the loyalty to the brand.

The best car I’ve ever owned was my Volvo S90 (when Volvo was made by Volvo). I had to finally call the junk man to come and get it 😢. It was far better than the piece of Mercedes rubbish I purchased (and NEVER AGAIN will I buy a Mercedes product). So now I’m in a quandary ... Audi or do I take a chance on Volvo. Decisions decisions. 🙄
Group W Bench ... we purchased our S90 September, 1995. It was the traditional square shape. 35k FULLY LOADED. Silver with a beige interior. So I suppose you can say 1995 is fairly recent.
As far as I know, the S90 was introduced in 2017. Before then, the flagship model was the S80. If anyone has information to the contrary I'd be interested in hearing about it.
Rented one of these over this past weekend. The T5 model I think. Nice car...but the 4 cylinder engine note throws me off. COMPLETE TURN OFF!!! Sounds like a Corolla...its fast, but No.

Great review. God Volvo really do interiors these days. That's gorgeous.

This is a nice car. I seen it in person and the new extended length caused it not to fit in my garage. Ugh
That car looks Boss

Great review Dave! Really like this car, just wish it had a supercharged v-6....I think the 4 banger is working a little too hard
great reviews and great cars, but it would also be nice if you can point out certain points which you don't like or that's negative about this car
Love the interior , cheers

Because they're obese, they can't sit up straight so they need more leg room.
