Amazing as always. From watching your videos in 2016/17 to now being completely online and having visited all these locations, its very good to come back and keep watching your videos again. Really helped a lot thanks Chris
Great video as always! But hard to believe what Canggu has become. I get that im just not the target now but it was a beautiful, natural, chill place just a few (ok quite a few) years ago. I always wonder what older Balinese folk think about these changes. Bet they would never have belived it if you told them what it would become when they were young
True. I'm not exactly sure how the Balinese feel either but from a digital nomad perspective, it's just a matter of travelling to other locations now with the same vibe as pre--pandemic Canggu.
Keep up these kinds of video! Love them - you mentioned joose in your last video. i just leave his videos auto-running in the background while i work because they're aesthetic and show a lot of blue ass water. if you show a lot of blue ass water ill leave your videos on in the background too lol
haha thanks of the tip! Next videos will be from the other side of the world but I'll be back in South East Asia for the second half of the year. Will keep an eye out for that blue ass water!
Hi Chris, I've not been to Bali before but it looks like it's a subsiduary of Dubai i.e a luvvie hang out. Maybe I should check out Bali for over 50s. Nothing wrong with your video or presenting skills which are top notch as usual.
and if digital nomads on Bali want to experience the local culture what then ? Do nomads still want to experience culture other than ex-pat hangouts ? Quality vid tho, if thats the lifestyle you want
Good point. There is no mention of local culture here. I wouldn't necessarily recommend Canggu for that. Ubud is where I like to go for a more cultural experience but even then, it's heavily overrun by foreigners too.
For me Body Factory is just unbeatable in terms of quality. Yes it costs the most, but the high price also keeps the people out you do not want to meet in a gym.
In my opinion only people with luxury sickness and brand obsession go to BF. There are much better quality fitness centers than BF. Unfortunately, influencers shape the lives of such people.
You put heaps of work into that. Thank you. Question: you look like you have a decent camera and ive found that in indonesia most places get very nervous when you pull out a camera. I constantly get told I cant film at all kinds of places. Are you having the same problem?
Not all the places mentioned are in Canggu, Canggu is a village in Badung Regency and the location he mentioned is indeed in Badung Regency but in different sub-districts and different villages. Many people mispronounce the names of villages, sub-districts and districts in Bali, especially foreigners. To the question of whether only white people live in Canggu, of course the answer is no because many local people also live in Canggu
Thanks for sharing bro Chris 🤝
It really helps 👊

You’re right! Major Dubai vibes in Bali these days. It’s now made its way onto the global circuit. For over 50s, maybe try Sanur.
@@ChristheFreelancer ok, what's Sanur - a bar, a club, a funeral director?
@@kinosilenzio haha an area on the other side of Bali
@@ChristheFreelancer hehe, ok will bear it in mind should I ever make it down there
Wooot woot! Nice vid Chris 💪🏻💪🏻😍😍 Canggu made me feel like a 🐖
Sorry we didn't get to Padel sesh. Next time!
Haha I don’t get it, why’d it make you feel like a 🐖?
@ChristheFreelancer cause everyone is so fit
@@cecillyask4246 lol I didn’t notice you being unfit!

😂 I think if Body Factory had more gym space, it’d take the cake. Otherwise it’s Wrong Gym for me.

Keeps Out People You Do Not Want To Meet? That Would Be The Local Balinese Then? Oh No!! They Are ALL Working To Serve You Bule!!
FOUR MILLION IDR For The Gym!! 🤣🤣🤣🥲😉

ok interesting... no I haven't had an issue with that. Keep in mind though that Canggu is not very "Indonesian" these days haha
Looks like the cost of Canggu is going through the roof.
For sure! It's gotten way more expensive but still very inexpensive when you compare it to the US/UK/Australia/Canada/Germany/Netherlands/etc
there were like zero gyms in 2014 lol, only super old ones
Whats NEW In Canggu? NOT ALOT! MORE Traffic! MORE Construction! MORE Elitist Overpriced Night Time Venues! Bit SAMA SAMA Then! 😂
you abandoned your channel for too long , its going to need more time to get the views again , keep going
You’re 100% right. Gonna need a good push to get it going again
There are no Asians in Cangu apart from the staff 😂 Tell me I'm wrong
