I actually quite like the removable batteries. It means the lifespan of the mouse is longer because no spicy pillows, and the batteries are easy enough to find. For me who uses such a mouse for laptop on the go as the Mini is designed for, I don't have to spare a USB port or cable to charge it, i just pop in new batteries once a year and go.

In addition to the 2.4 GHz connection, the mini also pairs up to three Bluetooth devices. Which means this mouse can pair up to four devices whereas the MX anywhere can only pair up to three.

I think AA batteries are the best solution for mouse, nihm batteries are quite popular and most people have them at home... and we will avoid problem that after 3-6 years battery does not work anymore and whole device has to be replaced because it is impossible to replace battery...

It seems to be a sound opinion at first, but think about it: Firstly, Logitech claims their mx anywhere 2/3 can last for 70 days per full charge, let say it is not true and 35 days is a more practical number. It means that we have to charge it 10 times per year. Normally Li-po battery lifespan is around 300 charge cycles, but we assume a more conservative estimation: 200 cycles. So a rechargeable battery can last for 20 years and up to that time I think most of users have already replaced their mice for several times already. Secondly, even if we can replace the mouse's battery indefinitely, the optical lens will not last long forever. LED, the light source for the lens, is good for around 50000 hours, if we use mouse 8 or 10 hours per day, the mouse will say goodbye after 20 years (quite close to the dead time of the rechargeable battery).

@@shoppingbuyer9555 G305 for example lasts 250 hours in full performance mode with 1 battery. If you use it 6 hours a day, 7 days a week, that would be about 6 weeks of use time. So you have to charge or change the battery about 9 times a year at max. If you now use 200 charge cycles that would mean a lifespan of 22 years.

@@shoppingbuyer9555 Don't forget that batteries deteriorate with age too. More real is that after 2 years it will last only 15 days. And after 3years only 5 days. I much better buy a regular AA and have no worries for a 6month For 5 years it's only 10 batteries at max.

Plus if you use it over wireless dongle for games it drain it twice a fast. So you will have to charge it more often. Very annoying for me to have wired mouse.

like the disposable battery batteries so you can use it forever vs no charge possible in a dead internal lithium battery in a year for failing batteries.
but i prefer a wireless charging dock but that isn’t travel friendly. wish it came with a braided cable for emergencies
pro mini click has tilt wheel and better sensors so i bought it over the mx anywhere 3

the biggest gripe i have with this mouse is the damn scroll wheel. I really dont care about the noise it makes but the damn scroll wheel is waaaay to hard to rotate. i sometimes accidently click the wheel while trying to scroll. Also the free spool is pretty garbage. If i pick up my mouse off the mouse pad and put it back down the free spool setting is so free that it actaully scrolls without me even using the wheel. My 15 dollar logitech mouse from walmart has a faaar superior scroll wheel.
ALSO the side buttons are too far to the rear of the mouse. i feel like i have to cock my thumb back which takes my fingers out of alighnment of the clickers. Just switching the rear button to the most forward position would be way better.

razer orochi v2 and this one the pro click mini, but its just regarding the advertisement, this one is hardware wise very suited for gaming if you like the weight, size and form aand the silent switches
