I use BleemSync on my 64GB USB drive, and Auto Bleem on my 16GB USB drive. I really don't have a preference, they are both unique in there own ways! This channel has been really helpful with learning how to use both. Keep up the good work!
That was a great discussion I've always wondered about the differences between the two. Personally I love the auto bleem for it's simplistic use. With the current beta it makes adding games very quick. I appreciate you taking time out to make these videos.
Thanks man, i appreciate the feedback, and thanks for tuning in :)
I just wanted to say that you did an amazing job. You were completely unbiased. It's truly a breath of fresh air to see someone who actually points out the differences without completely bashing on one. But I am still not sure what one I should use. So I guess that I shall just play around with them both.
Really liked this VS video as ive got Bleemsync but im seeing alot of Autobleem videos and always wandered which was best. OTG is what im waiting for along with games folders. Hopefully the 2 teams will consider working together as im sure if they did it'd be an awesome hack. Thanks Restalgia for the vid 👍
Hi Steve, I just wanted to voice my thanks for your continued support and great videos which have been invaluable to me. Your conciseness and no nonsense approach are much appreciated. I have tried every incarnation of the PS Classic hack and I settled on Bleemsync until I discovered Autobleem. Autobleem, for me, just seems to work better and I find the interface more intuitive and cleaner than Bleemsync. Bleemsync just suddenly stopped working for me one day and that was when I decided to jump ship to Autobleem and I have not regretted it. It consistently works well and is a pleasure to use. Thank you again for bringing this to the fore and keep up the good work.
I found this channel a few days ago and find it very informative. I investigated "hacks" for the ps classic after buying one for $24 open box at best buy, and discovered bleemsync, so that's what I used and it works flawlessly. However, after more research and seeing autobleem, it seems that may have been a better choice simply on the way you add games. Looking forward to watching this video to find out all the pros and cons, but I think i will end up using both.
Now I am working on using a powered hard drive to try and store a few thousand roms will see what happens...
Is there a video that focuses on the differences between the two mods instead of spending so much time on who is developing them?
Yea who cares about the development story.
go make that video yourself entitled crybabies
Kevin Exactly
He do have a point ...most the video is a virtual hand job.... could have cut the dev story a lot as most the info is irrelevant
bandit
Nobody's trying to be offensive but you.
Thanks, been waiting for a videos like this for a long time.
Excellent video! Very informative. Please keep this series going.
Great information, great video. I could definitely use a video on how to use different controllers and how to map them.
Another great video man. It really goes in debth of all the differences between them. I personally have 2 separate USBs so I can try out both.
Keep these videos coming! I think it's a good way to stay informed. Currently using bleemsync. I'm happy with it so far. I'm also considering autobleem usb build for my kids. It's seems easy enough for them to use without wrecking my saves. 😊
I found Autobleem much easier to set up, as I couldn't get pass the broken internet link for the Ui when it came to setting up BleemSync. I'm already excited for future updates and look forward to being able to use third party controllers such as the PS3 controller! Also, I may even attempt to use RetroArch for playing N64 games at some point if there is still no word of an N64 Classic, as I would love to play those games with a good quality picture on my modern TV!
Thanks a bunch, was confused about the different programs and how technical they were etc. Can't wait to hack this bad boy straight away when it arrives.
Love the direction you're going I'd love it if you continue the let's talk.
Good work here. I’ve subscribed buddy!👍🏽
I didn't know Wifi could be enabled!! Amazing. Imagine OpenElec on the PlayStation classic :D
Right on Steve you're the best keep pumping them out there bro
Great Video, just what i needed to hear!
I couldn't get bleemsync to work, I spent a long time dragging and dropping single games just for non of them to load, Autobleem on the other hand was a dream to build and its been working ALMOST flawlessly for over a month now, thanks to everyone involved and restalgia for the videos
thanks for update Autobleem keeps getting better. now i like Autobleem better then BleemSync
You're vedio is the best keep up the good work..
I setup autobleem last night so I can add my own games but I also use true blue fight pack product. I’m happy with autobleem, atm. Good work guys 🤟 peace
You should talk about Retroboot as well! I like that solution the best honestly
Good information thanks..I just subscribed to ur channel now.
i'm happy enough with AutoBleem, plug n play. couldn't be simpler
Is there a build with retro for 32,64,128gb
Agreed, autobleem it is sir
Not to mentoin it works 100% of the time
Autobleem all the way. So much more reliable and so much quicker to add games.
Very good video. Very educational and objective, very positive too. You just got yourself a new subscriber. :-)
Thanks man! I appreciate the support. Welcome to the team :)
I've only used Autobleem since I got my PS1 classic and I've explored heaps of builds and adding SEGA CD in Retroarch. I heard some Dreamcast titles work so I wanna try that but I've never used BleemSync so I'm thinking of trying it just for the hell of it as I might enjoy it and like it better. Massive thanks to u m8 for your input and all the team pushing these 2 mods as its made the PS1 classic heaps o fun. I'm one of the rare people who didn't mind the original build as I skipped playing the PS1 so I thought it was okay. Everytime someone on RUclips hated on the PS1 classic I always said yeh but with the effort these guys put into modding it, its definitely redeemed itself not that I thought it needed much so everything u guys did was just a huuuge bonus. I look forward to seeing what else might pop up in the future though. Ive been checking out arcadepunks.com for builds that I havn't used as its been kinda quiet the last 2 months. I thought that must b it but hey if theres still more to come like u mentioned, damn, heaps exited!!!!
Thanks n game on guys! Big love from Australia!
I’ve only used Autobleem, but I love it. That all of this gets done by mere volunteers is amazing, though.
Perfect topic!!
Wow. Nice video, Steve. But now Im little confuse with all this information. I personally prefer Autobleen because is much easier to set up...just plug and play.
I hope someday you could find a way to use the second controller.
Sorry for my bad english.....saludos desde Chile!
Finally someone who has a build with most of the games I'm looking for, how anyone can make a build or even "Sony" come out and not have Silent Hill or Driver is beyond me
I use AutoBleem and it's very easy to use. But it seems like BleemSync is also just as good.
Thanks for the explanation as I'm sure you get the same question a lot
I like both it gave us more options for the ps1 classic bring back memories.
Thanks bro.. I successfully hacked my ps classic last night due to you.. appreciate it..
How do I use retroarch tho? Im using bleemsync.. is there a video that I missed?
greatly helpful video! could you make a new one considering the last updates from both bleems?
We really need a update to this video in 2020. I recently moved from Bleemsync to Autobleem and I'm loving it.
13 minutes to find out that its personal preference. Autobleem seems easier to use, keep up the great work so we can play out retro games as true fans of real gaming. No DLC or micro transfers.
Wonderful! Can I use both Bleemsynch and Autobleem on the sale PSC using 2 differents USB card for each One?
id have to say in my opinion and experiences with these mods i like bleam sync better;i tried out auto bleam and i didnt really like it and it corrupted my final fantasy 7 saved data were as the bleamsync version of the didnt cause me any issues deleted data and what not anyway i hope that both mods continue to improve and get better through out the years
I love them both!.
Me too
I use AutoBleem & love it. I just got two DualShock 2 clones I’m pretty happy.
So far I'm still using BleemSync, as I mainly use RetroArch. So is there any news on when RetroArch is coming to Autobleem?
So question. If I get another flash drive and autobleem it, all I have to do is switch flash drives? Cause as of what I know it all runs from a flash drive and you can still averagely turn on the classic without having to out in a drive in and still play what came in
Just got OTG set up for Bleemsync 1.1. As far as I'm concerned, they win on that feature alone.
You can actually install Bleemsync to get that feature then switch to Autobleem like I did. I will be building a second unit with Bleemsync in the future though.
@@Gertso Confirmed. 👌 I've actually done that since commenting, and personally do prefer Autobleem right now.
@@Orpheusftw Sweet. Now I guess the sky is the limit. Maybe we can get a more all in one front end like what RetroPi has.
sorry for my bad english, but which one can I use two controls on? I would like to play with my girlfriend.
excellent video, won another subscriber, hugs from Brazil !!!!
Bleemsync recently added otg support. Visit modmyclassic.com for the downloads. It also works with Autobleem after you install it.
I'm getting a Ps classic for Christmas and am considering putting on either Autobleem or Bleemsync. I'm leaning towards the former, as it seems like a more simple process. I'm not gonna use my PS discs to load ROMs manually; I'll just download the ROMs.
If you don't mind me asking, is there an issue with an slight input delay on just Autobleem, or might Bleemsync also have this issue? It's not a huge game breaker for some games, but others make for a difficult experience. That or maybe there's something in Autobleem I need to alter that I'm overlooking.
I haven't noticed any delay on either build to be completely honest. If there is, it would be with the emulator the ps classic uses. The only thing I can think of is your have not changed the region from PAL to NTSC, which will fix the frame rate issues on the screen. You can do this in either hack by pressing the select and triangle button at the same time in any game.
@@Restalgia I'll see if that will make any changes, though all the games I've downloaded are USA versions, so we'll see. It's like a 1/3 or 1/4 second delay, so on 3d games, it's no issue, but on a 2d platformer (say Megaman 8), it's noticeable.
Thanks for your video! So I want to run MAME and emulate Dreamcast. with USB added Which one should I choose?
I personally use AutoBleem, very easy to set up....just plug and play. I have almost 200 MAME ROM running without any problem. I just need to find a way to load CPS3 roms.
Greetings.
I use an earlier version of bleemsync that doesn't include the boot menu or retroarch because I don't want other games on my classic other than ps1 games and I also like selecting my own box art and entering the game data..
Awesome video please do an updated video on project eris vs. autobleen since their on version 1.0
thanks for the informative video, i stepped away after adding games to nes/snes. think i favor bleemsync based off past experience with modmyclassic. gonna grab a ps classic rn.
Nows a great time. They are discounted heavily pretty much everywhere
@@Restalgia yeah, plus the 32gb san disk cruzer is 6 bucks at BB.
I use both,I wouldn't say one is better...however I gotta say,Autobleem is much more user friendly!
Hey there, is there any way you could do a new updated Autobllem Vs Bleemsync video, maybe some new fresh installs of each?
What is better I just picked up a unit with. Bleemsync but was also looking at a unit with Eris project I'm new to all of this which do you think would be better
It would be nice if you made a Project Eris VS Autobleem and really focus on the emulation & performance differences. It'd be neat to hear if you'd prefer one over the other
Your research it is great i like it
Hey, Need help. Using AutoBleem 0.7.1 Ultimate. I tried a GB game and wanted to swap the buttons. Went into some config settings while paused and accidentally hit so the joypad 1 became "off" or similar. Whenever I go from AutoBleem to RetroArch I can't control anything in Joypad 1 slot. Should I swap the USB with Joypad 1 - 2 ? Or should I try another controler? Or can I mod some config file on the USB drive instead? Been looking on the web all day after I installed it this morning for the first time. Tried also to replaced whole Retroarch folder without success. Thanks.
thank you sir
Excellent video! You have a new viewer here😃
Would you be able to direct me to links to the easiest to follow tutorials for these builds, including where to download the software and with the games?!
I’m a bit of a noob when it comes to emulation😣 but was able to pickup a Classic for cheap and would love all the Psx games on there.
Which of the builds supports analog controllers e.g. PS3, PS4 controllers or Logitech?
If you reply I would be super appreciative 😝
Thanks
Well for Autobleem or Bleemsync, just a quick Google search will do for those. Here's waht you need to do for the games beyond the 20 built in ones. -You should extract your PS1 game files yourself from your own personally owned PS1 collection, like a good boy, because pirating games is bad.- Madam Google knows all! ;D You'll get lucrative searches when you combine certain words together in Google is all I'm going to say.
As for an AutoBleem tutorial, Restalgia made one himsel. Watching it was how I installed AutoBleem. Very good tutorial: ruclips.net/video/LDAVYYYOUrc/видео.html
I'm not sure whether BleemSync or AutoBleem supports bluetooth controllers or USB controllers yet. So you may be stuck with the OEM controllers.
I wish you had a poll on here asking which one the viewers prefer most. They both seem like great hacks. IMHO, it seems like BleemSync is better. I think only because RetroArch is on there too. Making the PS Classic the best multi-platform option since the OG Xbox.
I had a few games that didn't run well on autobleem. I'm not sure what the issue was but it was kinda disappointing. I switched to bleemsync and I've had no issues with it sense and games seem to run a little smoother. Granted it takes a little longer to put games on it believe the payout is worth it when games run at 60fps or extremely close with no issues.
how i wished they would work more on pcsx improvements, so far core is still the same with similar existing bugs regardless of the frontend.
what one lets you search for games typing in letters? i want a massive games collection getting it all together now
Great video, but yeah the music don't let me hear you well
I want the OTG support and Retroarch integration of Bleemsync with the UI of Autobleem.
I 2nd that!
I 3rd that. 😋
Oh,Ur Cake & Eat it Too...LOL !
I agree. I definitely appreciate the ease of use of autobleem but kind of feel that offset by the amount of time I'm spending trying to understand how retroarch works
It'd be amazing to play the Turtles or Simpsons arcade 4 player
Can you get expansion packs made for Windows 95/98? I have trouble playing my Tomb Raider expansions on the PC now.
Hoping for the freeing up of the second controller on autobleem someday, if it is at all possible.
I like autobleem but I can't get my 8bitdo wireless adapter to work, it syncs up with my controllers but autobleem still thinks no controller is connected, going to revert back to bleemsync and see if it works
7:22 This is what makes me shy away from AutoBleem. I would love the ability to totally erase all the garbage on my PSC. It only has like 5 games worth playing, and the terrible stock emulation drops that number even further. 16GB isn't huge, but at the very least it could be loaded with the most important things for carrying around while I store everything else on thumb drives.
Tried em both... Team bleemsync all the way buds
How do you delete games from autobleem? I have a few that froze on me not sure if it's the roms or something else?
once hacked can i use a ps3 or ps4 wired pad? (for the sticks)
Not too sure what's going on, but I can't seem to get AutoBleem to load onto my PSC. I'm using a SanDisk Cruzer 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I'm formatting my USB to FAT32, renaming it SONY, dumping the files onto there and when I plug it into my PSC, I just get the regular boot menu. I made sure that everything in the PSC was unplugged first, then put the USB in player port 2, hooked up the HDMI cable and then the power cable. Even waited like 10-15 seconds before powering on the system. I thought it was the USB at first, but I got 0.5.1 to load just to test out the USB, so I'm kinda stumped here. Anyone experience something similar? If so, how did you get 0.6 to work?
i don't know if play station classic support open GL but it would be awesome if they can make run epsxe emulator with open GL plugin for psx games or have the option to use the plugin with pcsx , i have a ouya and psx games with open GL plugin looks extremely awesome,......just my opinion.
I have a sandisk 64gb 2.0 USB that will only format between exfat and. Ntfs and it won't work and I was recommend this USB by alot of video sources but for some reason bleem sync will not work when it's formatted in exfat
Not sure if you will see my comment, but when you do the modifications do your saves from stock ps get deleted?
No they don't get deleted but I dont think they carry over to the mod. So when you remove the usb and play the console with stock games, your old save should be there.
Hey, I’m trying to join the BleemSync Discord, but the link in the description is expired. Can I have a new one?
5 minutes to go!
thanks for tuning in!
I wanted to know if the emulator used (PSX Rearmed) is the same or if there are some differences between hacks
The cores in retroarch would be the same
Retro arch with ps2 support 😍
Bleem me up Scottie!
Lets talk more!
Autobleem, very easy. But one question : does ppsspp core exist for retroarch on autobleem ?
What about difference between retroboot vs autobleem vs project ERIS vs bleemsync?!
Hi! Can you help me please? I'm only interested in playing some psx games in widescreen 16/9. Does autobleem or bleemsync have this option? thanks!
Autobleem does. Bleemsync kinda does if you set it to load Retroarch instead of the default emulator.
I'm still contemplating this or a Raspberry Pi, Raspberry Pi has a Saturn Emulator but there doesn't seem to have a Dreamcast one, yet this does....... PSC Classic vs Raspberry Pi 4 would be a nice video.
I love autobleem its UI is super clean
But since 0.6 is in beta it does crash hard causing me to reformat my usb and copy over builds quite a bit
But once it's fixed it'll be my go to
We like LET'S TALK give us more more moooorrrreeeee.......
Please someone tell me what's better bleemsync or autobleem, I need as many answers as possible
Everything worked perfectly EXCEPT when I scan directory to make a playlist, it shows on the bottom of the screen the games being scanned, but when i back up all i see is INTERNAL, i dont even have an EXTERNAL option. can anyone help me out!? thank you
So bleemsync soft mods internal software and games play from USB but autobleem software and games runs straight off USB drive?
You got it. :)
@@Restalgia is there a way to go back to its original state?
Hi Steve , still got an issue whit damn usb's sticks and usb power hub, Both workin, but Also both runs over to menu while playing exept while game have load or need to write more data, dont know what to do maybe its easy way to clear preloaded games and run few new roms? I dont need tusdans of roms....
Have you considered joining the discords? In there you have access to all the development support team who can walk you through and make sure you get up and running. Links in the description :)
@@Restalgia thank Man , U da Best!
This is awesome,t hank you, Let's Talks' are always good ideas!!
Only got artobleam but will otg cabul give me more power so games dont crash and emulater thanks
what type of otg usb s that i find lots of it but not the right one ;(
How is the response time??its not like an emulator is it?? Gonna order a 128 GB card from etsy for 99$ help!!
