Something interesting I did see was that out of the top 20 biggest pre tax losses in the premier league era, 50% of them have been from City and Chelsea yet none have had any deductions. This is with the huge owner funding, in 2011 City had a £195m loss. Clubs that get away with everything whilst Forest/Everton are having points deducted.

@@KJ_2020I disagree. United would for sure love to be winning the champions league and making farther year in and year out. You obviously have to do good in your league to get into the UCL. The PL is amazing it is one of the best if not the best domestic league in the world. But there is one league better which is the champions league. The best teams all across Europe going head 2 head. Most teams apart from a team like antwerp are all top quality sides in the champions league. It’s more entertaining and higher quality. In the UCL you can’t afford to play one or two bad games because that can cost you getting knocked out where as in a league you can afford to lose a game or a couple. I mean look at city they have won a lot of prem recently but look at how long and hard it was for them to win the UCL. Talk about over analysing celebrations. Don't suck the individual joy out of the game. Celebration is not premeditated it is instinctive. Let that be a natural process rather than analysing a perceived over or under reaction. VAR is already doing a great job of robbing a natural reaction to a goal scored as we aren't sure if it's definitely a goal or not until the 📐 is out. Celebrate and enjoy the moment!

Yeah his time at Aberdeen is overlooked but also his early years for ManUtd is bizarrely criticised when things were harder then like having to finish higher in a league of the same or sometimes even more teams to qualify for European cup and English clubs were banned from Europe anyway for like 5/6 years around that time which would've effected transfer windows etc...as European football qualification gives the club a bit more pull when trying to buy players. He won CupWinnersCup the first year the ban was lifted.
Plus his consistency in the ChampionsLeague was impressive from 1996/97 to 2010/11 despite having next to no luck in the competition compared to other teams if you look at the style they won them and their seasons in general. ManUtd only had 1 bad CL season in that 15 year period, would regularly score loads of goals in the competition and won 2 in invincible style and got to 2 other finals without losing a CL game prior to those finals and never relied on away goals but were knocked out by that rule quite a few times, were robbed or unlucky or both so many times yet ManUtd still hold the CL unbeaten game record which has stood for 15 years and counting.

It's harder to win the premier league but it is bigger to win the champions league. Even the biggest players are remembered more world wide by either their world cup, champions League or euro performance. Without the 5 champions leagues Ronaldo wouldn't be as big as he is . Modric,Kaka , Kroos, Xavi , Iniesta, Drogba all this names are big because of champions league performance.

You can’t really compare SAF’s era to Pep’s era in the PL. A lot has changed. VAR, Away Goals, New UCL Format from next season. Pep only won the UCL at City after the away goals rule changed.
You cannot compare era’s anymore because it feels like you’re almost comparing two different sports. And that’s also why I want VAR gone. I think Ai refereeing based on previous decisions will be the future ultimately anyways
