In the Provence palette: that dark grey actually works super well to darken up looks. It’s a bit like your soot shade, I think. It works with a lot of different colors to darken things up.
The Provence palette is mouth-watering! I'm actually thinking about grabbing it during the sale 'cause it has such a unique colour combination
I held out from buying nomad until this sale and got every palette I wanted (5) for $97 total which is an amazing sale price! I’m legitimately so happy with no regrets since I’d been planning on spending a little $ and this was the only Black Friday sale I was interested in. I might gift a couple of them too.

I haven’t finished the video but wants to say his before I forgot. The Haunting Europe palette… I always think of it as 2 palettes. If you spit down the middle you have two completely different color story that for me have worked together better rather than hoping around the whole palette. Large palettes like confuse my brain so thinking of it his way made it a lot easier to use it. Just my thoughts.
On the pattern in color stories, I think since they’re taking inspiration from different countries and what represents the them, I think it becomes in a way nature inspired as well as most places are known for their geographic aspects. And those colors are very much aligned with that. I wonder how you would feel about older palettes like the Marrakesh and the Berlin one as the shimmers are really very subtle satins.

I don't have any Nomad palettes but honestly I would give them the top prize for artwork, so colorful and detailed. You can tell they put a lot of thought into it. I may pick up some singles at their BF sale, we will see. Good video and really nice eye look today.

I'm so happy your favorite one is the Monteverde palette, I'm Costa Rican (the country where Monteverde is located) and that was my first palette from Nomad. Fell head over heels with it, to the point that this week I ordered 6 more palettes lol. I think Nomad did a fantastic job capturing the escense of Monteverde with the color story.

Loveee nomad, I have a bunch you don’t- Tuscany, Venice simplon, and cartegena! All nice, palettes I’d recommend! Also have haunted Europe and just bought Provence and Hudson valley bc of your earlier reviews!!

Not loving a big pallets, I gravitate towards smaller pallet’s… call me crazy, or a Genius… but I would love somebody to put out a large pallet, 6 shades, summer colors {pastels mostly. Yellow, pink, purple, blue, green and white. } a fall 6 shades color scheme {mustard yellows, burnt oranges and berries tones} and 6 shade, winter tones {your dark and Smokey colors, browns, black and ect} so when you mix and match you have ever color you could possibly want or need in 18 pan eyeshadow pallet, or make it 36 pan pallet. Half mat, half shimmers. Now that would be perfect. Just my thoughts lol
I just got my first ever Nomad order this week, bought the Finland and Provence palettes and both are stunning. Unfortunately I agree with you on the hard pressed toppers in the former but as a card-carrying Makeup Revolution shimmer user, I'm going to scrape them out of the pan if I need to lol. I love that the grey shimmer in the Provence palette leans a bit purple, can't wait to use it.

I’m getting ready to go on a cruise and I just realized I have 2 Nomad palettes that are ports on our cruise-Cartagena and Costa Rica-don’t need to decide what makeup I’m taking anymore!
Before I comment on this video, I want to tell you that Jennifer E Makeup did a really nice review of the Hela palette in advance of the Black Friday sale. She’s a very small RUclips channel out of Texas, whose trying to reach 500 subscribers. She did a beautiful look and a great job hyping up both you and the palette. She’s so worth a look😊
I believe the all shimmer holiday palette from last year contained the shimmers from the defunct Shanghai palette. It was a new formula for Shanghai, and people who couldn’t get Shanghai could try them.
I picked up the Cloud Forest and Fetes de Provence in the Black Friday Sale. It sort of completes my Nomad collection. 😊

Omg Angie you vocalised my feelings on the Haunted Europe palette!!! I didn't buy it when it launched because something felt off about the colour story, but I still bought it this year cause the packaging was too amazing! 😅 No regrets though, I think I'll still get some good use out of it 😊

You will change your mind on matt's the older your eyelids get. There comes a time that light finely milled shimmers hide the crepe , even if you get our eyelids lifted . Hence high end luxury wins for aging skin

Aah thank you for posting this video!! I'm definitely planning to pick up my first nomad palettes this black friday. One thing I didn't realize until going on the site this week is that you can buy singles from the cloud forest and husson valley palettes now! Which is very exciting for me - I am dying to add that top left green duochrome shimmer and neon yellow from the cloud forest palette to my collection, but the rest of the palette just doesn't do it for me (I have an extensive green collection already and I'm not a big fan of neons on me).

It’s interesting to see other people’s makeup preferences. I personally prefer mid tones, am not a big fan of dark shadows and the trend of putting a dark colour at the outer corner. I love shimmers and multichromes as well as colourful mattes, 50/50 actually. I purchased the monteverde, hudson valley, whistler’s snow lodge and provence palettes in the black friday sale - it will be my first time trying nomad. Their color stories are some of the most unique out there.

As a Finn I really wished the Santa's Village palette was something I liked. The colours are cute but I'm not into topper shades, 1 or 2 is nice but not all shimmers. I would love if they did like a Lapland palette with colours from different seasons there.
My faves are Iceland and Whistler Snow Lodge, but it makes sense because I gravitate towards cooler and grungier palettes anyway.
I add each and every palette the brand offers but then I remember what you said then I am only left with 2-3 things that's very much fits in the makeup budget.
Thanks Angie, for helping me being mindful while shopping and will have less of a breakdown as I won't have the same things (same colour story, theme, exact colours.......) from each and every brands afterwards.

If I had to choose between using only mattes or only shimmers I would just punch that person (or ignore them) and just continue using them all. Especially duochromes, multichromes. And of course I love all the mattes as well, colourful mostly, an all of them: pastels, brights, jewel tones, grungy stuff. One truly colourful happy clown here. Buuut..if I had to choose, could I trick the system and use liquid shadows as mattes and then shimmers? Hmm...🤔I'd find a way.

I speak Italian and Spanish and the name "Monte Verde" means both in Italian and Spanish "Green(verde) Mount (monte). You actually pronounced it right before ("MONTAE VAERDAE") , the google translate pronunciation had an English accent so the pronunciation was wrong :)
We have so similar likes and dislikes. I would have probably ranked them the same. I don't have 3 of these palettes. Hudson Valley and the Cloud Forest are on my list. I have so many palettes. I don't really need them but really want them.

Maybe the yellow shimmers in the Provence and American parks palettes should be swapped with each other 🤔
Haunted Europe is actually my favorite. 😅 Berlin used to be my fave but it’s discontinued and Haunted Europe is very similar.
I think Tokyo is their most popular palette. It’s the oldest and yet still not discontinued and I still see people using it all these years later in looks.
It makes me sad that this one time when my country (🇫🇮) is represented in makeup palette, it was not a good one 🎅🤶🎄❄️😢
I agree with you, Angie, I really like Nomad’s palettes. However, the inclusion of greens, reds and yellows seems to be a pattern in most of their palettes.

My fav is still Shanghai palette and I'm sad that in no longer avaible even if I understand why is infamous. I'm still regret sometimes that i don't have it. That half neutral half colourfull colourstory is still pretty unique.
Also I feel like I THINK I KNOW what your top pick well be and I haven't checked the list. Lol, editing myself you really like the America's Parks but it's looked awful on me so after one use o gave it to me daughter. Seemed different on screen. It is very pretty but on my 50 year old wrinkles, nope nope nope. Friends can disagree! ❤️😊 Also, I'm really glad to have my Viseart dark mattes for anytime there's something not dark enough for contrast. I mean I have a million other palettes with dark colors but that's is a great one.
Happy first Thanksgiving Angie! I MAY HAVE to jump on a nomad sale. Last month or the one before I picked up three, the Provence, Hudson Valley (LOVE THAT RED) and the America's Parks which has so many shimmers and wasn't for me, so I gave it to my daughter. Brand New palette. It's bugs me that I don't love it, but oh well... Merry Christmas kid LOLOL.
I bought Provence and Hudson Valley earlier this year and love them both so much! I keep going back and forth about Whistler Snow Lodge (it looks soooo gorgeous but I rarely wear blue eyeshadows), but with it being 50% off tomorrow I might pull the trigger! We’ll see 😅

The only nomad palette I have is the one they discontinued immediately for race appropriation and I've never actually used if for a look. I've tried a shade here or there though. I really want the neon and green palette so much.

I have haunted europe and i love the shimmers weyy better than the mats even when im a mat girl too. Theres something off about that mats, i dont know, i dont know.
