I think this would be inspiring to your viewers for creating their eyeshadow looks! Also since I’m not the best at choosing or using bold color combinations.
I so appreciate the effort you have put into your color settings in your videos. Your swatches under lights and in a less-brightly-lighted setting, combined with the true-to-life colors as you're talking, are so helpful and reliable.
Absolutely! I agree - Angie, the lighting in your swatches (both regular light & low light swatches) & real time applications are the best references out there for trying to get an idea of what products might actually look like in person. Also very much appreciate how you do those nice thick & long, good sized arm swatches showing the entire palette all at the same time side by side so we can get actual visual of the color stories & formula finishes of everything side by side to see how everything in the palette goes together (ie: not some crappy little streaks of swatches or using several shots breaking down the palette into smaller groups so you don't get a full visual to see how all the colors & finishes go together). Your juicy swatches have been my saving grace in helping to make confident palette choices & not end up with "surpises" in the mail. It's hard to get a proper idea online of what makeup will look like in real life, but if there's any place that puts in the effort & actually gives us the best feel & idea for what things may look like in real life it's definitely here. (Same with your product & formula descriptions that you give us when chatting, but that's a whole other novel of praise to write for a different day!) To be honest these releases need to completely slow down and create stuff that’s actually exciting with a lot of thoughts behind it with unique color stories I’m genuinely getting started to get pissed off by the makeup industry releasing so many products with horrible inclusivity when it comes to face palettes but also some content creators annoy me as of recent I mean I get it it’s their job but I feel it’s so sick and wrong with all these declutters and all these makeup being thrown away which is also so bad for the environment I mean who needs 25-30 foundations & concealers in their collections cuz realistically having 4-6 foundations & concealers is more accurate like having 2 drugstore & 2 high end & 2 luxury foundations and concealers in your collection as holy grail products is way better this way so it’s products you can have constantly in routine and rebuy at the end of the day it’s saves yourself money and waste of products for the environment

Then I see others that still buy a lot for the average person, but are being more selective in what they do buy. So those are the channels I’m still watching. And it’s all about the indie scene for me so that helps. A lot of indie reviewers don’t buy a lot of luxury makeup.

I love warm grays. They look so good on me. Yellows, reds, pinks, purples, and most blues make me look sick. I hate that gray doesn't do it for so many people, and I'm jealous of people with stunning pink and purple looks. 😩 Angie sounds about grays the way I sound about gold. Has anyone else noticed that a pop of gold is the new pop of blue? There is a gold in every single palette this year. Which is why I haven't bought hardly any eyeshadow palettes this year. I'm over it.

Bought the Paletteopoly palette a few weeks ago and can confirm the color story and quality is just beautiful. I really find it inspiring and have been making great looks without feeling the need to bring in other palettes or singles.

@@claralizmoreira2112 40% off, sure. The matte quality is pretty good, the shimmers are basic brown-like colours with the exception of the bright blue. If you like the color story, sure. I got it mostly because i collect the yearly holiday palettes.

I have a LOT of palettes from ace beaute that i purchased through boxycharm a while ago. Ace beaute’s website has them on sale for very low prices like 10 dollars labelled OLD FORMULA which is probably the ones I own and thought they were nothing special in fact not very good. Now I wanted to try the palettopoly but its sold out on their website 😖
I watched the videos with comparisons and I put together a mock-up of My Dream palette with shades from other ND palettes. For the magenta shade I had to mix two shades. I am still testing it. Fun excercise

I think that the Natasha Denona My Dream palette is perfect for me 'cause I have the Zendo one and the Circo Loco ones. The other palettes even if beautiful are too "monochromatic" for me, so the My Dream that has a little bit of each one of the others is more my preference 😊
You definitely can tell that you have a golden undertone (also you are GLOWING in this video!!!!) so it makes sense that you don't like greys. I am a neutral light/med olive and I love greys! Thanks for this awesome ranking. So excited for daily Angie videos!
Love this ranking!!! And OMG you are so right about the ABH Rose metals. But I still love it because the shiners are amazing on me. I find it's the matte shades that make it feel so dreary. Soo just received the two holiday palettes from my Odens Eye order and these work so well with the ABH palette!!! the Matteson the OE palette are perfect for the ABH shimmers and give a versa. Using the mattes from ABH takes the OE shimmers from festive to more Grounded for my every day wear love this combination!

I didnt test the Path formula and I m not that interested but in a way a find a bit unfair that 87$ it is too expensive and that the 45$ quad from LH is ok. I mean, they are both very expensive in my eyes:)))I'll always choose ND for luxury eyeshadows. I have almost all of the palettes - but not the Glamlite Barbie palettte or Fantasy Cosmetica Bard and the one before; I have the first one. Maybe for Black Friday!

I don't so color like you do Angie, I'm 50 now and I am doing my best lol. However, I did buy some nomad cosmetics palettes. I LOVE the Hudson Valley one you talked about. That bright red is like nothing else. I was in love at first swatch and then on my eyes out was AMAZING. I gave my daughter the America's Parks because it's not for me in person. But I still have the Provence palette too. I do still want some of these but I'm really in a no but because I'm POSITIVE I have as much or more than you because I'm not good at decorating at all and that is my spending weakness. No more! Lol.

Weird, there's no sound for me either. I force close RUclips and cleared my cache - still the same. In the settings where I normally change the quality to 1080, it is also saying "quality unavailable" ☹️ Maybe it's because it's only recently been uploaded?

I find that happens sometimes if a video has only been uploaded within the last half an hour (it said "uploaded 15 mins ago") when all the comments about sound were being left. Strange but at least it's sorted now!! 😘🤡❤️
My most recent palettes in ranked order Theresa is Lethal and The Weirdos (unearthly) are tied for the top. Hallo-bean (shroud), Creeps & Craws (glamlite) leans dark and needs the highlighter to pair with it, Alice (sigma). Have to say I was super disappointed that the pink Cheshire cat shade in the alice palette is oh, satin 😒 not ooh, shinny 🤩. The mattes are lovely though.
I don’t know because when they reformulated all their regular palettes people were raving. So you might want to try one of those. It seems like for holiday palettes (mostly mainstream) they use a crappy formula. Something not like their regular formula anyway. 🤷🏼♀️ I’ve never seen an indie brand do that though.
I haven't bought any of the pat McGrath holiday eyeshadow palettes because of the price without her special shadows. I'd rather buy the more expensive motherships to get the shimmers I want and love than save some money but get colourpop quality with even less sparkles in the shimmers idk I don't think they're worth it.

I agree that ACE Beaute boxy was a dud compared to the usual new ACE Beaute formula.

I have a LOT of palettes from ace beaute that i purchased through boxycharm a while ago. Ace beaute’s website has them on sale for very low prices like 10 dollars labelled OLD FORMULA which is probably the ones I own and thought they were nothing special in fact not very good. Now I wanted to try the palettopoly but its sold out on their website 😖
Their old formula was trash I would definitely try the new. I don’t have it but all the reviews were glowing.

I watched the videos with comparisons and I put together a mock-up of My Dream palette with shades from other ND palettes. For the magenta shade I had to mix two shades. I am still testing it. Fun excercise
@@TipTheScales27 haha! Yes it is! It has been gifted to me Friday and I already love it! But I need to test out more looks. I’m quite fair skinned so for day looks I’m trying the light shades, it easily pulls dark on me.
I think that the Natasha Denona My Dream palette is perfect for me 'cause I have the Zendo one and the Circo Loco ones. The other palettes even if beautiful are too "monochromatic" for me, so the My Dream that has a little bit of each one of the others is more my preference 😊
Since you clearly love brights, my dream is like a perfect neutrals palette for you. Not as desaturated as glam (my fave to pair with green liner)
You definitely can tell that you have a golden undertone (also you are GLOWING in this video!!!!) so it makes sense that you don't like greys. I am a neutral light/med olive and I love greys! Thanks for this awesome ranking. So excited for daily Angie videos!

Love this ranking!!! And OMG you are so right about the ABH Rose metals. But I still love it because the shiners are amazing on me. I find it's the matte shades that make it feel so dreary. Soo just received the two holiday palettes from my Odens Eye order and these work so well with the ABH palette!!! the Matteson the OE palette are perfect for the ABH shimmers and give a versa. Using the mattes from ABH takes the OE shimmers from festive to more Grounded for my every day wear love this combination!

I didnt test the Path formula and I m not that interested but in a way a find a bit unfair that 87$ it is too expensive and that the 45$ quad from LH is ok. I mean, they are both very expensive in my eyes:)))I'll always choose ND for luxury eyeshadows. I love the Nouveau as well, the new palette seems a bit strange :D You are not the only one, Angi, I would buy ALL the quads with one pastel, one dark shade and 2 shimmers. I would looove that. Outstanding video as always! I agree if you don’t have any ND palettes (which is definitely NOT me), the Dream Palette is a great first palette - a little bit of everything! I have almost all of the palettes - but not the Glamlite Barbie palettte or Fantasy Cosmetica Bard and the one before; I have the first one. Maybe for Black Friday!

I know you don't like gray tones on you, but the Rose Metal palette looks that you did really made your blue eyes pop in that video. That honestly is the bluest your eye have looked to me. Love your videos. You really expired me to play with color!

I don't so color like you do Angie, I'm 50 now and I am doing my best lol. However, I did buy some nomad cosmetics palettes. I LOVE the Hudson Valley one you talked about. That bright red is like nothing else. I was in love at first swatch and then on my eyes out was AMAZING. I gave my daughter the America's Parks because it's not for me in person. But I still have the Provence palette too. I do still want some of these but I'm really in a no but because I'm POSITIVE I have as much or more than you because I'm not good at decorating at all and that is my spending weakness. No more! Lol.

I really love the trick roar treat palette and I really wanted to get it but shipping to Australia is almost the same price in USD as the palette itself and I could not justify that 😭😭 love seeing these videos though and discovering new makeup!! :)
Lol I prefer grey undertones cuz I have very cool tone skin. Warm tones make me look sickly or like I have a bad orange spray tan

Weird, there's no sound for me either. I force close RUclips and cleared my cache - still the same. In the settings where I normally change the quality to 1080, it is also saying "quality unavailable" ☹️

I find that happens sometimes if a video has only been uploaded within the last half an hour (it said "uploaded 15 mins ago") when all the comments about sound were being left. Strange but at least it's sorted now!! 😘🤡❤️
My most recent palettes in ranked order Theresa is Lethal and The Weirdos (unearthly) are tied for the top. Hallo-bean (shroud), Creeps & Craws (glamlite) leans dark and needs the highlighter to pair with it, Alice (sigma). Have to say I was super disappointed that the pink Cheshire cat shade in the alice palette is oh, satin 😒 not ooh, shinny 🤩. The mattes are lovely though.
I was so excited to use that Ace Beaute violet sage palette but the quality was so disappointing that I probably won't try anything else from them.
I don’t know because when they reformulated all their regular palettes people were raving. So you might want to try one of those. It seems like for holiday palettes (mostly mainstream) they use a crappy formula. Something not like their regular formula anyway. 🤷🏼♀️ I’ve never seen an indie brand do that though.

I haven't bought any of the pat McGrath holiday eyeshadow palettes because of the price without her special shadows. I'd rather buy the more expensive motherships to get the shimmers I want and love than save some money but get colourpop quality with even less sparkles in the shimmers idk I don't think they're worth it.
