This is my favourite Osees track. Its perfectly encompasses the band as an entity. Makes me kind of sad that I didn't get into them until a few years ago. I wish I was there for the early stuff. Need to see them live. Discovering John Dwyer was like discovering someone that you made up in a dream.
honestly, the early stuff is not as great as Help and onward. Masters Bedroom seemed to be when they started to really kill it. so 2007-8 would be when they became a band and not a bedroom experiment.
This is such a great video, which captures the feeling and energy and positivity of a Thee Oh Sees show perfectly well. Just love looking at all those kids having a good time. This band is really one of a kind in our time.
There’s that thing very unique strange and fascinating when you go to an oh sees show . The noise gets to your soul and stuff I can’t describe it but it’s more powerful than the dark side of the force
i saw them in a venue that probably held 100 or so stinky bodies on this tour...and the opening band is Australian band TOTAL CONTROL. one of the best, nothing like Oh Sees, but equal in greatness.
people are having fun, enjoying the moment when it's happening, without filming with their phones while being stoic lil shit, that's so rare today, i wish i could see ppl my age do that more often :)
is the full performacne of this live version of "i was denied" online somewhere? i like it better than the album version. i don't know this band well, but they sound like a west coast ramones! lol
yes, also drummer for the amazing and seminal AFRAMES---good call. Intelligence are great, but underappreciated. Lars is a super nice fellow. TOTAL CONTROL on this tour...aussie greatness
Dwyer is using an original Roland Space Echo. an analog tape dealy. Boss just put out a new digital one, but it's not the same as the original one he uses.

They still kill it live dude. Different members then this video besides John but the hits keep coming and the pits stay pitty. Oh sees show is living.

They've released more albums than anyone in a ten-fifteen year period and they keep getting better, it's insane.
def one of the most epic live bands of this generation.
Saw them in Baltimore, the best live show I've seen in years. Love this band.
Holy hell. Holy fucking hell. Anyone that complains about modern music hasn't seen Thee Oh Sees live. So rad.
Just pure magic my medicine thank you john
Anyone know where to find more footage from this show? This was my first Oh Sees show - blew my mind.

LOVE IT

yes, also drummer for the amazing and seminal AFRAMES---good call. Intelligence are great, but underappreciated. Lars is a super nice fellow. TOTAL CONTROL on this tour...aussie greatness

Talk about being plugged in....
his speaking voice sounds just like jack white
Is it just me or does the whole band look exhausted in this video?
its carrion crawler! fucking awesome song!
what's the name of the song they used a snippet of to play over the video beginning at 0:10?

Still searching for the entire Video of their performance here (@ 285 Kent). Please, someone help! 😫
Guys! What's name of the song at 1:12?
Dead Energy
It certainly is.
how does Dr. Dwyer get the effect at 2:51?
Jddj Jdjd - Just need a delay pedal man. turn the repeats up and just hit a note and slide it up.
You're welcome ;)
Reid Flemming thanks!!

the original one is just to expensive at this point
RegularDude also they only used the space echo for vocals and keyboard. A boss dd-3 is all you need

Sean Hickey if after 4 years you're still wondering, it's called dead energy, from their split with total control
