This unofficial Money Pit has been my favorite series Donut has put out in a while
I do enjoy it a lot. What if you bought a 500 dollar beater and dumped 50k worth of parts in it? You would have a ripper that makes no fucking sense!
This is Money Pit without a name for sure! One might argue that Money Pit was a little more restrained in the budget, but that was before the merger with Drive, so expensive Money Pit it is 😀
@@finalmage6 I thought that HiLo became Money Pit with the Subarus....
@@troydill3731 That's a whole different kind of money pit right there 😆
Old Civics are perfect example of Money Pit. Don't ask me how I know xD
Honestly super happy the group has a build thats not falling apart 😂
yet

@@namantherockstar this ain't the way to go about it. 😒
@@namantherockstar Bad form, and there's youtubers etc that just use their phone for recording. If you can't create good content with the basics, an expensive camera isn't going to help you. Begging also won't. Be better.
@@namantherockstarand now I see you're replying to multiple comments with this shit.... that's not how to get popular, and I'm reporting you for spam
This is easily my favorite Donut build so far.
👍
Good
👍
Nice
Great 👍
This is probably one of the best and most reliable build out of all Donutmachine. K20 swap, excellent brake kits and suspensions, nice looking wheels and now sick interior.
That's basically my dream build!
This type of video is absolutely the best content from Donut. Doing trash to treasure videos is just awesome. More of this. More of money pit. Please.
There are so much cheap 86/FRS/BRZ's now they could do one of these really well with one :)
Just another channel throwing a bunch of money at a car w/expensive bolt on parts!
@@theglitch99As a car enthusiast, you're describing my ideal weekend...
@leeboss6631 it's not a bad thing, it's just a thing! I'm addicted to cars/vehicles/machines myself!

Anyone else think this is gonna be their most reliable Build? 😅
Oh, no doubt.
Their*
If done right, it will not only be reliable, but a road map to millions to build a reliable supercar out any econobox…lol
Aftermarket will boom, because no one wants to get a mandated unreliable electric car….
Well it’s a Honda civic. Of course it’s gunna be reliable.
Mark my words they'll find a way to break it.
I love seeing Adam back on camera. this has been the best series in a while.
Adam going crazy shifting the car 😂
Man Jeremiah killed it with the add! These guys really know how to sell a product!
I would so buy that tyre from that ad!
I wouldn't buy anything a youtube channel shills
@@matty_isthemottobro you're watching the channel what?
I don’t know about y’all but this one has to be one of the most tasteful builds they’ve done ✅
mugen + spoon parts, agreed!
I've never cared much for hondas, but this series is making me want to rebuild an old ass honda.
Man calling a dx build tasteful is fucking crazy lol. It's a trashed old civic lol
Hggyhju
Hdjdixos
These are the builds that I love, the ones that are still comfortable and usable everyday.
Same
I like the blue and yellow thing that's starting to form. The blue brakes, yellow seats, and valve cover, I like it. I think a classic championship white exterior and a few more pops of color would look sick!
probably taking their cues from the spoon colorway
Please don’t stop making this series I fell in love with that civic and the makeover you guys have been making to it
Adam - “A functioning dome light 😄 ”
Jobe - “ WTF!?🤯” 🤣

Iykyk lol 😂😂😂
lmao that tire sponsor skit was something else 😂
Normally I fast forward through that section, that one was the first one I paid attention to and watched, whilst laughing at the ludicrous nature of the advert

This build is so freaking awesome! Only thing left is, yes A/C, but also a sick paint job. Excellent work, fellas. The interior is super nice now. Doesn't even look like the same car anymore. Plus it probably smells better. Lol.
wonder if theyll match the paint with the seats
Do not paint it! It's near perfect with the old paint. It looks correct, and so nice on the inside. A/C and some tunes and that car is awesome. I saw thousands in that color paint and it is nostalgic.
they definitely should not paint it. old civics are supposed to look kind of garbage. new paint just adds weight.
@@IcarusBPMI think that would be too much yellow and just hurt the eyes tbh
@@CRneunew paint adding weight doesn’t really do anything for a civic tho, for super/hyper cars it’s a different story but for an old civic? Tho I agree it should stay the same paint or at least the same color but fresh and new
10:45 had me rolling cuz that is how I depict driving manual is and feels to my friends that don't drive manual yet
I love that y’all aren’t just stripping everything out of it and just leaving a chair and roll cage! That cars gonna look CLEAN! (Comment before seeing end of video)
Agreed
Can’t wait to see what they do for a new paint job.
I hope actual paint and not just a wrap
White pls
Hope they stay with the blue. Actually works well with the yellow
Probably going to finish it off with blue and yellow to give it that spoon racing feel
It deserves clean paint for sure
My favourite Donut build so far. I hope they do some work on exterior next. The only thing that is killing me is the paint job.
ok
they should do the paintjob but use the same color because boy does that yellow of the seats look sick on this green/greenish blue
Same and also the musty dash
@@thatguy-m6p Yeah the green goes extremely well with the yellow seats and the color palette is very Donut
needs to be a darker green like on the old mini coopers. that would be even nicer. @@thatguy-m6p
I have been LOVING these types of series my dudes. Please keep doing them. I want to see how far this hatch can go
Zach is exactly right on the AC! That would be a fun ep to see - installing creature comforts (or Florida essentials, ask Jerry) in the Donut cars!
Oh yeah Florida essentials fs
absolutely a requirement in Florida its 95 and humid as hell here
this Donut team has so much potential. nearly everyone who works there feels natural in front of the camera and could be the main host easily. It is hard to tell which is my favourite host, they are all great.
They cast for hosts/team members. Obviously you can’t fake a natural chemistry, but to an extent they’ve all been hired based on their comfort/energy in front of the camera, and their fit with the general vibe the production teams going for.
That's still a tall ask for most people. Just finding people that are natural in front of cameras is hard, Much less finding them that also come with decent car knowledge. I fucking love this channel tho. Although I do miss its old days and shows dearly.

Only donut can nail the ads that you cannot skip. So funny dude. keep it up❤
Loved this ad 😂
You forget your watching an ad😂
3:49 "you want me to go get the candles again?" "hey you know what im thinkin?" "AAEEEGHHHH" 💀💀💀💀THAT IS THE MOST SUS PART LOL
That Jeremiah ad was great 😂 Jeremiah is my favorite Donut host. He’s smart and nerdy but also has some hilarious humor, and that’s always a great combo
Got to the end of it and realised I'd actually just enjoyed a full and....only donut
Keep this series going on forever please 😭
Seriously buy a popular old car, dig out the old parts and put modern ones in and the views will roll in. We love you Donut!!!
Next one gotta be a new stereo system + A/C lmao
Hell yeah! Love seeing this thing come together! Now it just needs that A/C y'all mentioned and also a new paint job to match all those new improvements on the inside
I'd love to see they trying diy detailing/polishing, showing what you can do at home. Some paintless dent removal with professionals would be very appreciated too
I had this back then, AC always failed.
Wrap
type r blue will be sick

The tire commercial had me in tears
I think jimmy deserves to be handed the keys to this one when it’s done. Well done on the Dogfight wheel recommendation too Jimmy.
I'm excited to see what is done to the outside. Hopefully they paint it rather than just putting on a wrap.
If they paint the car the paint itself will be worth more than the fucking car...
@@rasmusjensen8271Everything on the car is more expensive than the car itself already.

Polish and ceramic coat it. Keep it all original paint
We need to see more of these builds! Realistic builds that people can use as reference for their own builds.
Nice build, gonna be a sweet car, but realistic? they're $30000 into this thing already.
@@snupermoto723definitely realistic. these are the types of builds that you can do over years, and add parts as you go. obviously not everyone has youtube money.
Definitely not a realistic budget but their time, effort, and friendship is real! It’s inspiring seeing them get their knucks greasy working in the garage. Makes me want to get some friends together and do the same
@@snupermoto723you could do this for half the price, this is just top of the top stuff thats brand new
I mean, you don't have to go for top of the line stuff, is more like a comedy bit, cheap car with the most expensive parts. You definitely can save money buying cheap things and save up for the more important stuff like the seats, wheels and maybe roll cage.
I think it's the best project you guys have ever made and easily my favorite series. I am interested and curious about the next episode.
That bit with the steamy windows had me cracking up more than it should 😭🤣

Ever since it came out in the early 90's, I've been in love with that model of Civic. I drove all the way from Spain to Germany just to get one. But the USA model has been the real dream for me. It's coming out great guys! It's a SI, right!?
Out of everything else they have built
Hands down this is my favourite
The only one I would love to own actually
You guys continue doing you, don’t change!
Love the entire team
also another idea. when you had the interior stripped, you should of removed all the old gross gunk off the floor, scuffed it up a bit with a scotchbrite pad, then put down a few layers of POR-15. it will protect it, block out any chance of rust, and also act as a sound deadener as well.
later on, you could put the car up on the hoist, pressure wash the underside after spraying it down with a good degreaser, then use the POR-15 there too. the bottom of that car would never rust out. though im in the canadian maritime region where thats a huge issue. (salt water, salt on the roads, salt in the air from the Atlantic, and also high humidity, it was at 96% a few days ago. you see 3yr old trucks with box sides bubbling out!) POR-15 is a lifesaver. you could also Lizard Skin it over top if you really wanted to coat it good!.
anything you dont put por15 on, you could use Rust Check. Ill vouch for that shit all day after spraying it for years. we had a customer with an 86 camry that was rust checked every year, and it looked like a brand new car underneath, we dropped the gas tank to change the fuel pump and were able to remove all the bolts and tank straps with hand tools! it had over 500k kms on it, driven year round in the canadian salty winters. rust check is king.
The exhaust sounds so much better now. Loving this build
ok
Even the General Tire ad in the middle of the video was amazing. I love everything about this build.
I love the civic episodes. Makes me want to upgrade mine so bad. And it's really not that expensive. Can't wait to see what you guys do next 🤯
The little Civic had such a massive glow up, it looks amazing. Love the two tone palette with the blue and yellow, really great choice.
i know aesthetics aren't everything but, i really want to see a nice body kit and maybe even a wrap on this thing eventually.
I think matching door cards would go so hard. I love these seats so much, I need a set.
This car deserves a sick japanese racing inspired livery to finish the package!
Wow man, this project is just getting more and more insane!
I love all the guys being involved and talking. Absolutely awesome detailed but not too long of a video
This is the spiritual successor to Money Pit I wanted so bad.
NGL the straight pipe exhaust gave me goosebumps in the last video when he first opened her up
Thank you so much for all the hard work guys, I've been having quite a bad time lately and your videos are really brightening my days, you're amazing! Much love from Italy ♥
Love the street/track build ethos with the cage and interior. Sounds great too with that exhaust.

It sounds terrible but everything else is good. It would be cool if they made it AWD.

I want to see these guys build their own custom car from scratch. It would be cool to see what design choices they make.
You need to tune the engine so that it gets to its 1000hp limit, you talked about in the engine video
Starting to look really sick, I love it, and although I kinda like the blue, hopefully the next Honda episode is gonna be called giving a $500 Honda a $10,000 paint job, it would look even better
This is becoming every honda guys dream build for sure ! I love it !
Yes and they actually put an engine in it! most honda kids put like thousands into unpainted Veilside body kits and spoilers and then fart around in the 100hp stock engine
This civic gonna end up being the most expensive car in donut🤣
Love that they basically just created a stock rsx. That’s what I drive this series made my Honda boy self so happy
It would be a treat if these kind of build videos are longer, 13 minutes is too short! Great build btw always wanted a small simple hatchback myself.

Probably my favorite sponsor segment this channel has done so far.
Love what you’ve done with the car. In addition to ac, I’d love to see a lap race between this civic and a stock Civic or something else of the same price to see if there’s value in modding or if it’s better to buy a car stock for the same price. Looking forward to the next episode!
... maybe go back a couple episodes where they raced this around the track, before modifying it, when it was stock.

My best friend since 96 had a yugo when he got his license. I always drove, (irony warning) because he scared me. Car was near new condition and you could see the ground through the floor. I took it up a back road that had a long downhill run back into town. If the speedometer was accurate or not it was pinned at 110mph/180kph. Downhill turbocharged. We didn't get stopped for the intersection at the bottom of the hill. Luckily no traffic lol. Proceeded to Walmart across town and got whatever, probably fishing stuff, and when we got back out to the car the brakes were completely seized/welded. Had to get a little John Wayne with it to bust em free lol
These guys at donut are living the dream. Just working on cars with your buds.
My 98 Honda Civic DX engine went out the other night. I tried hard to save it but I’d been having all sorts of problems. Your guy’s videos were gonna be my guide for upgrading, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be because I can’t afford a new engine.
You guys need just a commercial channel I'd watch that all day long lol when I fix my car I'm checking out the G-MAX
