Fun fact all of Coheed and Cambria’s albums are tied to comics that the lead singer Claudio Sanchez makes this album is 9th in the order of the story the “Dark Sentencer” is that giant planet in the image it’s a giant prison. I recommend JJ metal head cause she has a whole playlist where she explains the story of the Amory wars
MY BOIS OF THE FENCE 🫡🔥🍻 ‘The Gutter’ is a follow up straight off of this one. this one kills at the live shows 🤘🏻 and how they used “welcome home” in the song lyrics as a shout out to the OG’s
Another track that didn't catch me on the first listen but liked more and more as time went on. I really wish i could see them perform this live, I bet this song gets the crowd going at the start of a concert.
Saw them tour when this album first hit. Absolutely beyond words. People were in tears after the 8th piano key hitting. The energy was mesmerizing. The whole place blew up the entire show. They played the entire album and then some. Fvcking unreal show. If you ever get a chance.....sell your kids.....whatever you gotta do. Get there. It's absolutely amazing. One of the best bands I've seen live ever. And I've been around lol.
Just for insight, this is a "welcome to hell song" the intro sets up that there are messed up planets from a disaster that have been bought and turned into prison pits. This is our hero's arrival and the introduction to the worst possible life ahead of them :)
Vaxis I was an album that I had to listen to a couple of times before I decided that I liked it, but both The Dark Sentencer and The Gutter were songs that hit just right on first listen. Great reaction, and keep the good vibez going!

The lore is one of the coolest things about the band

Thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The intro is a little unnecessary... But great song when it really kicks in, definitely takes you on an adventure.
To be fair, it's the opening track of a concept album, so it's setting up an album-long stage play in audio form, if you will.
