I don't think Puffy had anything to do with Biggie getting killed but I do think his arrogance and cockiness had a lot to do with his death. Biggie's mom and plenty other people were telling him to not go to California. His mom was like why go to the turf of your enemy after he got killed. That's like spiking the football in someone's face after they've been killed. Puffy shouldn't have pushed Big to promote that album in California. The wound of Pac getting killed was still fresh and going to California less than a year was a mistake.

Biggie was the only one hurt. 6) Hard Rap: Puffy Breaks His Silence aired March 28, 1997 3 days after the album was released. Maximizing profit people! 7) In 1997, Diddy started doing commercial work to become a rapper. 8) Diddy's debut album was released on July 1, 1997 9) January 7, 1997 - Diddy releases his first single, can't nobody hold me down. His first hit song, I'll be missing you. A tribute to biggie 10) Bad Boy Records, Diddy's record label, peaked. When I say peaked, the popularity soared due to Biggie's posthumous album 11) Mase, Combs' new protege, was to fill the void that biggie had left in the label. However, Bad Boy was slowed down due Mase's abrupt retirement. Guess what follows about 8 months later? Born Again, "Biggie's" second posthumous album. Released in December 7, 1999. Mase had left Bad Boy around May 1999 12) Duets, the final chapter. Another biggie album released in 2005.. 13) 18 years later, Diddy is worth more than half a billion dollars. Are you starting to get the pattern? Every time Bad Boy experiences some sort of funk, Diddy turns to exploit Biggie to bring it back to life again. Born Again and Duets were horrible albums. They basically copied & paste tracks from biggie's previous albums. I am not to sure if this was Diddy's plan all throughout the years, or if he made up 6 months to a year before biggie's death. Find an artist, build him up enough to create your label, get him killed in his prime, and use his death to maximize profit. This was so incredibly thought out he had to be planning this shit out way before he met biggie. Biggie just so happened to be the target because he was the most successful. His plan was solely revolved around the shootings of Tupac. Maintain innocence, create fake death threats and blame them on people who thought Biggie had something to do with Tupac's death. If people believed Diddy ordered a hit on Tupac, who would they kill in revenge? Biggie... Not Diddy. The fact that he released his first single in January 7, 1997 was no coincidence. That shady asshole knew Biggie was gonna dead. Biggie's died on March 9th, 1997. That day also marks the birth of Diddy's rapping career.
