Recently bought a 2019 LSX colorado, took it offroad and was surprised on how well it peformed as well. Love the power and how easy it drives and loke the simple interior
Got a 2018 Z71, other than the side steps fading and the plastic between the bonnet and windscreen doing the same, it’s been extremely reliable. The side steps were replace under warranty. I have done 86500 km and by the dash its averaging 9.3 l/100. A few mods on it now being Opposite Lock Bull bar and rear bar, XROX Rock sliders, Ironman Longrange Tank, RidePro Suspension, Dual Battery system and coming soon , winch and Canopy
Anyone with experience installing these know by any chance if I can make the ARB BP-51 Shocks for the holden colorado fit on the US chevy colorado? -thanks
Pretty fair review. Mine has been very reliable and a really good heavy duty tow vehicle up to 3500kg 6000 GCM. I prefer my rear alloy tub bar because I have mounted a 3rd roof bar on it. The expensive aftermarket rail and bar setup is flawed because you can't move the bars to the end of the tracks as the roof mounts are not strong enough! The 15k service interval is not recommended by service staff I have talked to. Oil and filters are cheap compared to engines. I change mine at 7 to 8k. I have been really surprised how competent the vehicle has been in deep sand. Even pulled out a cruiser! But I was running low tyre pressures as you should.
I own the my20 Z71 here in the Northern Territory. It is perfect for around here, comfortable ride on and off road. Would like to see the lock diff come with it but isn't necessary around here. Fair review :)
Bought one for my missus to run around in, she’s very happy with it. It’s not bad to drive but I find it lacks a bit in interior storage area/ spaces & the driving position feels a bit cramped tome but wife doesn’t feel this so could be just me being used to larger vehicles. Interesting comment on fuel usage, ours records some fantastic economy figures & while I know it’s not too thirsty I have become a little suspicious of its lts per hundred numbers & this test seems to verify my suspicions. Little 2.8 does make good torque though, feel much livelier than a 3.3 Ranger for example, overall a good Ute, not sure why the sales numbers aren’t higher than they are.
The Colorado copped a lot of bad reviews I have an LS model and love it also love the LSD that gets used 100% perfect for towing and cheap to buy mine was near new and only $28.5k
No regrets on this badboy. The fact that Ford is the most favorite here in my country. With 200hp and 500nm of torque, what more can you ask? #ChevroletPhilippines
Holden really only have themselves to blame for going under. After heading to my local Holden dealer to inquire about this so called "top spec" Colorado (2019 model), I was dumb founded that it didn't come with a tub liner, it didn't come with floor mats, it didn't come with a tow bar, No blind spot monitoring, no AEB, no active cruise control, no rear diff lock. What it did come with was a hefty price tag of $56,000! 2020 Mitsubishi Triton GLS Premium comes equipped with all mentioned above and more plus a 7 year 150000km warranty for $48,990. Goodbye Holden and Good riddance.
It's a mixture of Holden, and the general manufacturing culture in Australia. Australia in general is not known for anything significant. We import everything, and export minerals. That's about it. There will never be a "facebook" from australia, or a new car, or anything relevant. We're a support function in the world, and our business is importing of goods. That's why Holden and Ford failed. It didn't fit the agenda and the mindset. Lack of innovation in this country.
@@positivepete4265lol. Try google Australian inventions. What's Facebook without wifi...? Realising the medicinal purpose of penecillin is another. For positive Pete you seem overly negative.
poor after sales support, marketing & warranty in the country where i live. such a good ute with so much potential. i got a hilux for myself. might consider a colorado if the situation improves. great video
Big fan of my 2017, am about to buy a Triton or Navara as my lease is almost up, but I already know I’m going to miss that grunty engine, smooth ride and light steering, remote start, the list goes on. It’s a great Ute for the money and does plenty of things that none of the other dual cabs do
I have a 2020 Z71 Chevy Colorado 4x4 crew cab here in the states. It’s got a few little differences but overall seems to be the same. I have the 3.6 liter gas V6 and it’s quite nice - so far I love it!
When we supply information in metric mesurements, we do not specified it in milimeters, insted in centimeters. The same principle apply in imperial mesurements, you would not describe car mesurements in fractions of inch. If this vehicle was for example a bus 9 meters long, you would sound totally stupid specifying its lenght in milimeters.... Please, apply a bit of logical thinking.
100% the triton is better value for money but if your already paying $50k+ for a triton why not pay $60k+ for a z71 it's only an extra $50 a week over 5 years
Rather an ls as they are lighter and more compact. Don't get me wrong I'd rather a barra in a gu than an ls but in these it'd just weigh the front end down too much
Just find it funny that the big butt was in control of Holden and raved about the Colorado Then he left Holden... before they go under Last week he was seen buying a Hilux Just an observation Make of this what you will....
he made the right choice, and he knew the writing was on the wall that the news is Holden name and Brand to be gone forever by the end of the year, GM pulling out all together.
Ben Williams . The Badge! Well I disagree! Holden has always been Australian that looks after Australia. Unlike the other brands. Which I’ve owed as well, and will never own again. Never had any major issues. Always brought me back. Definitely love the power train. New models a great with more tech as well. A well built 4x4.🇳🇿
@@nikkastellorizios6585 unfortunately GM is not Australian. i dont think Ford, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda buy other maker brands and rebage them as thier own ( i could be wrong). Colorado is a good product but i find the Holden name has no weight anymore 'for me" as it used to when it truly was an australian icon of local manufacturing. if Holden made aussie strawberry jam i would by it.
I dont like,i love it!
Great Ute as I’ve own 2 , traded my 2014 LTZ to the latest model. Love it. 7 yrs Free scheduled Servicing was a Bonus too . Thanks Holden . 🇳🇿🇬🇷
Nik Kastellorizios good luck getting the 7 year services now

So with holden now leaving australia, is it still worth getting one? Also will it get heavily discounted?
In my opinion they will have a big discount and yes definitely worth getting one...
Getting one on the weekend for 44k normally 53k drive away price
