I can cut people off with no problem. But, depending on the connection I may secretly miss them. They will never know it though and I would never tell anyone else if I miss that person. Then in my own time, I let go.
Me too Blue Phoenix.. sometimes it takes someone else to explain something for you. I couldn’t put that into words. I usually secretly miss them. I don’t let them see me sweat though.

It feels great when you cut off someone, coz you also cut the negativity , codependency from them. Although it takes times coz, I give so many chances to that person, but they think I'll be always there but once it's done ,it's done😆.

I've cut off all my close friends (which is basically all my friends) a while back. You're so right. We leave unworthy people in our lives because we have issues we should deal with but are too scared to face our own demons. Fixing your own life and how you value yourself is a long and difficult process to the point where you could accept abuse, manipulation and utter spite from people you deem the closest to you just to be distracted from facing yourself.
To be honest, it hasn't been an easy ride. I'm battling with depression but at least this time around I know I'm investing in myself, unlike before when I used to be all ears, listen and try to fix other people's lives and be there for them. I know I'll come through eventually.
This is so me. I've never had a problem cutting people off. No time for jerks or Minnie the Moochers. 🖤♏👣
A phrase I tell myself when I decide to let people go is: they are good people, but they're not good for me. That's the key to let go in peace. Hate or resentment doesn't bring anything good.
My cut off was sad but necessary.
I didnt call or explain anything.
After a decade of friendship I was always aware or knew of an undertone of jealousy and years later I detected hate.
She had a great life by any standard. And mine was not so great. As soon as my life started to turn for the better thats when I knew she was having a hard time dealing with that.
When she was and most likely still up. I was happy for her. Rooting for her. But she couldn't honestly return the favor. So I cut her off for good. No regrets or missing her.
Literally came looking for this video again on what to do when cutting people off. Difficult part for me is the fact that I’ll have to cut off everyone else related to that person. This person thinks they can disrespect me and then want be cool with me the next day. About a few months ago I’ve emotionally cut them off to the extent that if they die, i would have no remorse.
We shouldn't care because cutting someone off who disrespects you is not a loss. It's gain of peace. 😊
