It could have been an excellent revenge movie, Bond wants to avenge the death of Tracey and kills Blofeld at the end. Well,. the teaser in the Connery version is like this, but then he goes to America and it's never mentioned.
The footage of Lazenby in the Astin Martin is taken from Return of the Man From UNCLE. A made for TV Movie in which Lazenby had a Cameo as a James Bond Clone who helps out the Uncle Agents briefly in one scene.
In THE RETURN OF THE MAN FROM UNCLE, Mr. Lazenby's license plate did display the initials, JB. And since he DID play 007, I think it's safe to say that he's supposed to be Bond in that scene, even if the producers didn't have legal clearance to use the name, JAMES BOND. Btw, did you know that Ian Fleming created the name NAPOLEON SOLO? Or that three of the stars of the British TV show THE AVENGERS have co-starred in Bond films, including Honor Blackman (Miss Galore in GOLD FINGER)? I mention that because Avengers star Patrick Macnee is Solo's boss in TROTMFU, which links Solo and Bond.
It's a pity that Lazenby only made the one film. OHMSS is regarded as the best bond film ever by me and many other fans and film critics. I saw it when it first came out and went back to the cinema to see it again quite a few time. Had some of the best looking actresses of the time as Blofelt's angels of death. Eye Candy [and fantasies] for a red-blooded young man.
This is brilliant, very nicely done! Lazenby and Dalton are two of my favourite Bonds. In fact the Lazenby scenes are my favorites in the Uncle reunion film. In an alternative universe, Lazenby honored his seven movie contract after OHMSS, eventially making a total of 8 films with Octopussy being his final outing. Timothy Dalton debuted in A View to a Kill, who went on to star in six films with Goldeneye being his last (there were two other Dalton films released in 91 and 93). Pierce Brosnan's first film was Tomorrow Never Dies.
In an another alternative universe, Connery plays in O.H.M.S.S. and in ''Live and Let Die'' in 1972 for the celebration ten years Bond films. His last film as Bond in Jamaica, where he started ten years before. Dalton starts in ''A View to a Kill'' and plays in a fourth and final film in 1992, for the celebration 30 years Bond films.
George Lazenby would’ve been the fabulous bond his first outing was a truly marvellous film much maligned until Daniel Craig came along unfortunately he had his head filled with delusions of grandeur and says are all the rapid exit and Sean Connery coming back to do this film I think he would’ve been marvellous in this film and probably would’ve got on to make many more I know that’s a controversial statement controversial
i really enjoyed Diamonds are Forever with Sean Connery. Lazenby did not improved the JB'mood. Dalton was brilliant .Sad that he did not get a third and fourth film to improve his universe
Just like The Amazing Spiderman 3, that was supposed to be dark and gritty follow up to the last one. This is something we should get, but instead gives us a light hearted movie that we didn't ask for.
Not bad at all... Actually... It's much better than not bad at all... It's EXCELLENT 😁😁😁 Especially the "credits" with pictures from OHMSS... If it had been the real thing it would have ROCKED 😁😁😁
And respect for all your comments regarding George I will always feel that he could have filled the role. My opinion is somehow he wasn't given the chance to evolve as 007. George was young enough and had all the quintessential spy attributes
He turned a 3 picture contract down believed his manager, that things like bond had had its day in the eara of love & pace, but I think had he not listened to the bad advice he took he'd have become a good Bond
A pity Sean Connery gained weight and was getting older in Diamonds forever. I wanted to see George Lazenby directly exerting revenge on Blofeld in Diamonds are Forever for his newly wed wife.
OHMSS was the best Bond movie and Lazenby the best Bond for me. He had the physicality of a man who would be capable of roughing people up. If he wasn't the best bond, he was only second to Connery. Lost interest in the the later films.
I met george lazenby.he is a very nice guy. It is known he bluffed his way into the film.he did a good job under the circumstances. But people wanted sean.and they paid sean a hell of a lot to money to get him back. I have always like roger moore but in the films roger moore is roger moore.
Without a doubt, OHMSS is by far one of my favorite Bond films of all time. I actually have a very hard time trying to imagine Connery in that film, Lazenby was the first actor to show us a more 'human' and emotional Bond. Connery was more of an indestructible Superman as 007 up until that point. The next time we saw glimpses of this side of Bond was briefly in For Your Eyes Only, and then in License to Kill. It wasn't until Daniel Craig that the 'human' Bond really returned in force.
Sean Connery was the better James Bond in this movie since he also played in Goldfinger, and You Only Live Twice which was also sung by Shirley Bassey.
Nice but mainly the Return from Uncle footage . You might look at the Hong Kong Films Stoner and That Man from Hong Kong to see if you can find any more footage of Lazenby that would fit in ,
George Lazenby's Aston Martin DBS from On Her Majesty's Secret Service should have been put in the crusher. The only James Bonds that looked good driving the Aston Martin DB5 were Sean Connery, Roger Moore (Cannonball Run) and Pearce Brosnan.
YOU KNOW, EVEN THOUGH MY FAVORITE JAMES BOND IS ROGER MOORE, GEORGE IS TRULY JAMES BOND. WHEN I SEE HIM, I SEE JAMES BOND. TOO BAD HE ONLY DID ONE MOVIE.
She didn't. The original plan for Diamonds Are Forever was to have the film open with the scene of Tracy's murder, setting up Bond's revenge story for the rest of the movie. However, since the producers were unsure if George Lazenby would return, they put Tracy's death at the end of On Her Majesty's Secret Service. In the hypothetical film that this video presents, it's possible that Tracy would've appeared in flashback or that James would've imagined her speaking to him, but now I'm just thinking out loud.
Diamanten fieber war doch mit Sean Connery. da spielte keine Diane Rigg oder Telly Savalas mit, George Lazenby gab es im Auftrag ihrer Majestität oder wie man das schreibt..
This movie is extremely lame. Having George Lazenby as James Bond in this movie is as idiotic like having Quiet Riot's Kevin Dubrow singing W. Axl Rose's Guns N' Roses song Welcome To The Jungle.
No, it's not "extremely lame." It's a fun romp. Besides the fact that this video presents a hypothetical alternate film that was never made, meaning it doesn't matter what you think is "idiotic," had George Lazenby continued as James Bond, he would've had the opportunity to hone his acting abilities and further develop his interpretation of the character, and we would've gotten a proper revenge story sequel to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, so Lazenby's version of Diamonds Are Forever would've been different from what we ended up getting.
The only movie he played James Bond was in "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" with Diana Rigg. He was never in the movie. "Diamonds are Forever". This was with Sean Connery as James Bond with Jill St. John.
Yes, it was Connery. Much to my dismay. How I would have loved to see the revenge of Tracy's death with the young, dashing Lazenby instead of the paunchy Connery.
@@anthonylewis2080 "Embarrassing" to who? If it's you, then it doesn't matter because you must embarrassed by everything and thus are in no position to judge. Besides the fact that it's his video, he can do as he wants, and the names being cut off is a minor mistake that obviously wouldn't have made it into the finished product, so it's unfair to criticize this based on that, this is meant to be a rough idea of how the title sequence would've looked if Lazenby had continued and not a definitive idea of how it would've appeared in the final film, so you're giving "goodness" entirely too much credit.
I would have love to see George actually do this movie.
It could have been an excellent revenge movie, Bond wants to avenge the death of Tracey and kills Blofeld at the end. Well,. the teaser in the Connery version is like this, but then he goes to America and it's never mentioned.

This is why it's important for any up a coming actor to have a good reliable agent who doesn't screw your film career up with bad advice.

Thanks yeah I like to think Goldeneye would have been Dalton's final outing as Bond 2 films in between, one of them being The Property of a Lady
In an another alternative universe, Connery plays in O.H.M.S.S. and in ''Live and Let Die'' in 1972 for the celebration ten years Bond films. His last film as Bond in Jamaica, where he started ten years before.

John Barry's music is insanely good. It's so atmospheric. He should have won an Oscar for his Bond work.
Such a kick Arse Realistic 007 Bond Lazenby. deserved a second go !

If i could go back in time i would go convince George to do Diamonds are Forever. It would have been the ultimate revenge movie
Just like The Amazing Spiderman 3, that was supposed to be dark and gritty follow up to the last one. This is something we should get, but instead gives us a light hearted movie that we didn't ask for.

GEORGE SHOULD HAVE CONTINUED AS 007 !!!!! HE REALLY SCREWED UP 😩 HE'S MY SECOND FAVORITE 007 AFTER CONNERY 😃
If only...if only... what might have been!
Outstanding! Great job!..
Considering he had little ,ahem acting experience he did ok in Majesty's which was largely carried by Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas.
Diamonds Are Forever still Sean Conerry. George Lazenby on film : On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
The wrecked cars were easily burst into flames. That's great.
And respect for all your comments regarding George I will always feel that he could have filled the role. My opinion is somehow he wasn't given the chance to evolve as 007. George was young enough and had all the quintessential spy attributes

Well your opinion is ignorantly wrong. He quit the role
Great use of my credits

Lol look who's talking about gaining weight, looks like you could lose abit yourself, tubby.

The studio fired him because he was very vocal about his views of the Vietnam war. George was a war protester and pro weed.

Great

The Aston Martin from The Living Daylights was bloody awful too!
Six more Lazenby Bonds would have been 007 heaven.
Should have included IIse Steppat (Irma Bunt) in the opening credits (since she was the one who actually pulled the trigger and killed Tracy),
He starred in one Bond movie and quit. Not exactly a stellar career move.
He took some bad advice to not do another movie which in hindsight regrets if only to wipe away the talk that he was fired.
Go Lazenby 🇦🇺
YOU KNOW, EVEN THOUGH MY FAVORITE JAMES BOND IS ROGER MOORE, GEORGE IS TRULY JAMES BOND. WHEN I SEE HIM, I SEE JAMES BOND. TOO BAD HE ONLY DID ONE MOVIE.
I would have liked to have seen him do a couple more Bond films. I think he would have grown into the part and Connery looked horrible in DAF.

George did a good job as an alleged non actor.
Wasn't this whit Roger Moore
Could have been more fun!
