Congratulations on 2000! Well deserved. Great video, amazing winch. You will have some fun now getting into trouble on the trails :) Thank you for adding my recommended tip!
Hey TrailWalker, Thanks for the feedback on the video. Interestingly, my getting a winch is a result of a previous tip you made in the Ardbeg video, if you recall. :-)
Congrats on 2000 subscribers! The winch and bumper look great. Really good instructions for those wanting to install the same equipment. I'm looking forward to a video showing you using the winch to get yourself out of a bind. ;-)
Hey Randy, Thank you for the feedback. I'll be launching the post for the 2,000 subscriber give-away contest in a couple days. As for the winch, I debated on waiting for spring's trail run season, but then decided I would do some winter camping this year. So...the winch may come in handy sooner than later...lol. Cheers
Hey John, Thanks. I’m glad you found the video helpful. I didn’t install a front skid plate other than the stock front skid plate, and then I modified the front plastic air dam to fit with the new front bumper. Check out 12:30 in the Smittybilt Winch Install video. Cheers
Do you leave your winch connected to the battery at all times? I am thinking of attaching the positive winch cable with a wing nut to the battery, and leaving it disconnected until I actually need the winch. That way, in the event of a front end collision, there would be no power going to the winch, thus lessening the chance of an electrical fire. When I need to use the winch, it would be a quick and simple matter of attaching the positive winch cable to the battery with the wing nut.
Hey Mike, Maybe. lol. It doesn't add up to much, but the real reward is sharing what I've learned with others, and hearing from others on how happy they are with their Jeeps also. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Hey T Mar, I have not. I planned some winter camping adventures that now have to be put on hold due to the stay at home COVID orders. So I’m thinking it might be a while before I can offer any hands in feedback. Thanks for watching. Cheers.
Thank you! I'm installing one on an FJ soon. Your video helps a lot. Nice jeep btw
Thanks. I’m glad you found the video helpful. Cheers.

Hey Mario, Sure why not! LOL Thanks for the feedback on the video.
Awesome Video, very helpful for my installation. What is the brand of the skid plate that you are using on your jeep?

Hey T Mar, Great idea! I'll have to include that as a subscriber tip in an upcoming episode. Thanks!
Can you make a video on winch maintenance?
Hey Roger, That’s a great idea. I have a few summer camping videos lined up but that would be a great follow up. Thanks for the idea. Cheers.
Great video. What is the brand and part number for the Flip Up License Plate Holder?
Hey Mike, The following link will take you to the one I ordered. amzn.to/3r4gPv9
Thank you. Just ordered it. Hope you get a little commission for that🤠

Just engage your ebrake partially when spooling solo
Yes, but make sure the seat belt is connected to avoid the "auto-Park" feature. I should have mentioned this.
Have you had a chance to use your winch yet, and if so, how do you like it?
