I'm pretty sure she sang it in 18 languages which is absolutely insane! Multilanguage videos of her different versions of deliver us are up on RUclips.
But whats even more respectable in all of that is that she always re-recorded the Hebrew part in each dub, so it actually sounds a bit different from version to version which is a level of dedication I have literally never seen before. They could have had 100% "gotten away" with just reusing her Hebrew part from the english version and just have her sing the lines that actually need to be dubbed over. But Ofra Haza and the dubbing studios went the extra mile for this movie and that's such a joy to listen to.

Though every time I hear, and read this line in the bible, I just think "Man that's messed up, if you purposely made people mute, deaf or blind..", it always rubbed me the wrong way. then doing the tonal whiplash on Moses of speaking to him "kindly" after yelling at him, is very manipulative to get him to do what he wants him to do... now if i remember correctly, the final plague was supposed to have come from the pharaoh's own lips, which is part of why moses was trying to interrupt and stop ramses from saying such awful things. • @Broomer52

Yes, it’s why Moses was so scared. God told Moses what each plague would be and also told him how others could protect themselves from it, heeding the warning is heeding god and asking for his protection. The final one was a plague that would be brought down by Pharaohs own lips, so whatever he said would happen would happen. He wanted to raise his kingdom strong by his own hands and the greatest tragedy brought to his land would be at his own hands.

I think the opening between Rameses and Moses really shows what happens when people get raised under the aassumption that they are untouchble. Sure, they get chewed out by their Dad, but none of the people they possibly harmed with their little race will say a word against them. The _only_ reason the priests can speak up is because they are high enough up the ladder to say something, but even they cannot touch the princes.

Its kinda cool how the slaughter of the lives of the children, gave way for moses to become a deliverer, and at the same time, the lives of the children in egypt is their pathway to freedom. This pattern of the innocent ones being caught up between the fights of people they are not directly related is sad, and as a story, it ends in a circle, how the lives of this children started and ended this journey, or the start of their journey .

Why did the Queen accept Moses? Because in Ancient Egyptian culture, the Nile River was viewed as "the giver of life" as it was the only major freshwater source the Egyptians had. So when a random baby boy arrives to the Queen, she saw it as a blessing from the Egyptian God of the Nile, Hapi, as a divine baby sent just for them; a gift of new life from the giver of life.

I think this is one of the greatest movies of all time. It's a masterclass in cinematography, scoring, animation, and storytelling; it's visually stunning, emotionally gripping, and epic in a way that still gives me shivers to this day.
I'm not religious (for a myriad of reasons) and I still reccomend this movie to everyone, regardless of their beliefs or background. It's too good to be missed.
Anyways, it was wonderful to see you guys singing along and getting so immersed in the film, and I gotta say, I love that how your guys' faith made you even more enthusiastic - I've never seen a group of dudes get so respectfully hype in the way you did, and it made me smile.
I've also seen a couple requests floating around the comment section asking you to view other animated films that I happen to hold near and dear to my heart - namely "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Atlantis: The Lost Empire". Personally, I think you'll get A LOT out of "Hunchback", and I'm immensely excited to see how you'll react to the movie's villain. The soundtrack for "Hunchback" is very much on the same level as "The Prince of Egypt" - especially the a few of the more dramatic tracks. "Atlantis" is a good movie, but if I had to rank them, I'd put "Hunchback" above it, for sure. Then again, maybe you guys will really like some of the action sequences in "Atlantis"; I know you didn't like "Kung Fu Panda 2" as much as "Kung Fu Panda", which honestly blows my mind (2 is usually everyone's favorite of the trilogy, and my favorite too!) so hey, I could be totally off in my prediction!
That aside, I wanted to go ahead and suggest another movie - "Treasure Planet". Like "Atlantis", it's considered one of Disney's hidden gems - awful advertising did the movie SUPER dirty at the box office, and as a result, Disney kicked it to the curb. Despite that, it's slowly managed to get the love and recognition it deserves over the past couple decades.
Whichever one of those three films y'all end up watching first (if you do them at all, of course!), I'll definitely be around ^-^

One of Dreamworks greatest creation. Cast is amazing I mean they got Val Kilmer and Ralph Fiennes for Moses and Rameses. As for the slavers who dropped their weapons and went well most of the workers didn’t agree with what was being done but it was a tradition that had always been. To break tradition requires a lot of willpower from a lot of people.

Seti was given a prophecy that a Hebrew would rise up against him and end his empire. That is why he ordered all the first born Hebrew sons to be murdered that year. Little did he know that god had placed Moses in his very house. In the bible Moses had a stutter and was not able to communicate very well with the Hebrews. Aaron acted like his interpreter. This movie is one of the best bible to film adaptations, and of course watching it now as an adult i can see the issues with it from a religious standpoint (like every Egyptian firstborn dying in egypt followed by a song about miracles is a bit on the nose) but it's still one the best traditionally animated films in history. Loved your reaction! :)

43:06: There's actually more to it than that. He's sitting on the lap of his father's statue, like he did when he was younger. He finds comfort in his father's influence and still thinks what he's doing is right. Rameses looks up to his father and doesn't want to appear weak in front of his subjects, especially his son.
His stubborness and pride allowed his kingdom to be ravaged by the plagues, thus he became the weak link.

Here's the thing to understand about Egyptians at this time. The reason they so readily accepted Moses as a baby is because they worship the Nile as a god. The Nile was not only a god. It was a sentient god. So if a sentient god sends you a baby, you assume it's supposed to be your new baby.
