SolidWorks Flexible Sub-Assembly

- When I used to design automated machinery, I would use configurations to show my machine in various stages of the cycle. This worked great for providing drawing views of my assemblies, but didn't work so great for detecting interferences between moving components along the path of motion. For instance, if I had a pick and place robot (picks a part up from point A, then moves to point B) that crashed somewhere in the middle of its path of motion, I wouldn't know until it was too late (sorry about that, Chief). Thankfully, there's a way to drag my parts and sub-assemblies through their full path of motion without the need to dissolve all my subassemblies.

Thank u so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you! :)
edit: May I ask, what if the radio button in the Component Properties window is grayed out? Both the Rigid and the Flexible option.
I have the same issue
Thanks a lot!!!
Thank you!!
Thank you sir
Thankyou so much
Nice one ^^
thanks man!
You`re the best
Thanks alot ^^
thanks
Please slow up the area where you switch between the top level and the subassembly. I cant tell if it is in the assembly, or if you have the subassembly open as a separate assembly file.
Could you just take your top assembly, and make a configuration that had moving grippers using float and then the limit angle mate???
Thanks :)
I can't able to use realistic graphics view. I really need it to make good presentation. I have AMD graphics card HD 8000 or something. I tried many ways (watching RUclips ) but still I can't use photorealistic view. Help me
Thanksss!
hello i a trying to do a similar type of mate except my parts move around the same axis and the one is slightly bigger. is it possible to do what you did
what was the first angle entry for? The one that was 30 which you then changed to 31 just before hitting ok?
Hi! great video, but because of some reason, the the option of marking "flexible" is locked on rigid and there is nothing i can do to change it ( it like written in grey like you can not press it) how can i solve this problem ? thank you very much
I had the same issue, and the problem was that my sub-assembly was under defined, some nuts and bolts could spin so I just mated their planes to the assembly planes and I was able to.
nice
😉😉
hello. I need some help. I need to mate a hydraulic cylinder with a body. I have mated one side of the hydraulic cylinder, which is the normal way but the other way i cannot mate. it is saying that it is over-defined when i am mating. how to do that?
thanks. i got it.
Thank you!
