  • Do you find yourself modeling up sheet metal parts a lot, but getting unusual things happening with your flat patterns? Maybe the flat pattern isn't quite right. Maybe you just get errors when you try to flatten it.

    thank you very much. I have a similar solid to the second one in this video. I want to unfold and refold it by parts. I mean i want to unfold it in different stages not to unfold the whole pieze in one single stage. Do you know if that´s possible? If it is i´ll be so glad to know how. Someone please help me!

      You might have got the reply. Anyways you can use sketch bends to get bends at different stages.

      Better late than never, but in Solidworks 2019 there are Fold and Unfold commands that can do just that.
