This is the most difficult question as Daniil seals everything he plays! However, if I had to choose a piece, this would be Rachmaninoff's 3rd concerto or perhaps Schumann's Symphonic Etude No. 11...💖
In Berlin, hipsters drink a LOT of Mate though. Such a disgusting beverage. I have been to a lot of places, still it amazes me how the people in my own home country seem to consume some of the most revolting liquids to be invented. Kombucha seems to me like most harmless one of them.

Trifonov looking like Rasputin the Mad playing brilliantly as usual. 💘 What a truly exceptional performance and rendition of one of my favourite Scriabins.
Just saw him yesterday with the Houston symphony, he performed Tchaikovsky’s piano concerto. I can’t even explain how beautiful it was to see him bare his soul with every note.
look at how long his fingernails are; horowitz was the same because they both played with the flat of their finger. Fascinating how much sound and dynamic he is able to bring about with flat fingers.
I love the depth added by the middle lines starting at 0:54 and mainly at 1:03. It is not heard as well in most recordings, which is why Sultanov’s was my favorite because of how clearly well voiced it was, but it overpowered the main melody. The way Trifonov does it here is incredible because it is clear enough to be noticed but not overpowering the melody.
I think his perfect ability to seamlessly play all music nuances (from fortissimo to pianissimo) make Trifonov the best pianist we currently have and one of greatest pianists of all times.
He pours his soul into every note. He is amazing at conveying emotion through the music while also playing with flawless technique. It’s amazing how great he is at both. That’s why I think he’s the greatest of our time
@@claradiaz3147 I agree. I had the chance to be at a Trifonov concert (live in Milano). That concert was amazing. I also collected his autograph! Such a humble and kind person.
Really nice! I love that he doesn't rush away with it, so you can hear all the notes, all the curves and points of phrase. The repeated chords near the end are magnificent. Bravo!
I have to say I always favoured the intensity of Scriabin’s original recording of the piece but hearing it played with this level clarity and nuance from Trofonov is mesmerising. A phenomenal interpretation of a phenomenal étude.
Trifonov learned new repertoire so quickly and with real quality! Real artistic integrity. I assume we’ll have a complete Scriabin Etudes Op 8, 42 and 65 disc to look forward to?
Danil Trifonov, un des meilleurs pianistes de la nouvelle génération !! J adore les études de Chopin mais celle ci de Scriabine est pour moi un pur chef d œuvre de la littérature du piano.. et de la musique tout simplement.
Refreshing. He gets that this isn't supposed to be a blazing fast piece quick sure , and the tripplete figured keep LH busy but overall it needs space to breathe which he gives it a chance to and that's rare these days w the younger class . Spot on execution
Wow, his posture looks so much more relaxed and comfortable than in other performances I've seen. I feel really happy about this for some reason 🙂. Great performance!
the best performance for that piece of music - with horowitz - i think. absolute fantastic. best comment here „dressing like a homeless and playing like a god“ - great and absolutely true!
May not be his best recording but this is new repertoire for him. Those who compare 80 year old Horowitz (who has played this his entire life) with him doesn't know a thing about being a pianist. Preparing new repertoire while playing hundreds of concerts and travelling is NOT easy. Last week he played the Op.42 etudes in Wigmore Hall wonderfully.

It’s not on the score. If Mr Scriabin is watching me play it, I would do it his way. It’s not mind nor I have no right to change it.
