- Hopefully you've watched my 1 hour summary and thoroughly revised the full spec but here is my list of the top most frustrating marks that students lose through silly mistakes

I did my chemistry end of year assessment today and it went amazing . However one of the questions were “explain why diesel makes water vapour instead of pure water”. Do you know what we could write about in this 2 marker
Hydrogen present in diesel is oxidised to form water molecules and the high temperatures mean that the water is in its gaseous form
... either you've remembered it wrongly or that's a poorly worded question! Was it about diesel COMBUSTION? In which case it's water vapour because it's massively exothermic so it would be too hot for liquid water. But being a gas doesn't stop it from being pure 🤷♀️
