Yea but he messed up leading with the fakest looking one. If he started with a real one then gradually went to the fake ones, it would have made Night Trap and Sonic 3 more believable.

Starting out with the Night Trap controversy making people think "maybe he's not participating in April Fools Day" stroke of genius right there.
I didn’t look at when this was released and thought I was living in an alternate dimension. Starting with the very real Night Trap was pretty genius. And ending with an SVB ad was hilarious.

I love how Night Trap was considered a game that apparently glorified harming women and what not, while the main character’s actress, Dana Plato (from Diff'rent Strokes fame, and who was kicked off the show for having a child at age 20, but had come back off and on) was having a hard time establishing herself outside the show. She even started using drugs (and even overdosed) while on Diff'rent Strokes, so it’s kind of hypocritical that a grown woman couldn’t have a kid, but could do harmful things she should have had help for (though I don’t know everything about it). It’s sad that the video game actually was a good outlet she was wanting to do (though addressed it was a step down from her prior work), while the show that should have really helped her blossom basically not only drove her down a road of hardship, but also the other two actors also used drugs and other legal issues, and I think having a hard time regaining the same success they did on Diff'rent Strokes.
I love how the first entry was actually real to make the joke that much better 😂

I thought the April Fool's joke was going to be the fact that you uploaded two videos within 1 month. But you got me. 😂 The Silicon Valley Bank bit made me laugh pretty hard.
Number 1 is actually true, one time sonic the hedgehog ran up to me in Lowes and made a very convincing argument for legalizing weed, and even got me to join the "LEGAL MARIJUANA NOW" party.
I thought it was just me!
When I tell people Sonic the Hedgehog came up to me at my local Toys R Us, called me by my name, and told me that he needed me to join the battle on legalizing the magical green herb, nobody believes me! But to see others who have been ordained by the blue blue himself, I feel blessed.
Truly, we must few in number, but Sonic gives his most dire of tasks only to his most trusted fighters.
Yeah, I became an alcoholic due to my identity crisis with whether I was a Democrat or Republican. Sonic cured it all by taking me to a different kind of Green Hills and letting me smoke to the point I went into comatose. I couldn't be happier to be working with the "LEGAL MARIJAUNA NOW" party. Everyone should try weed to see what effect it has on their health.

I hadn't been born when Scrunt released, but one of my friends had an old copy that we got to play together once. We spent hours on that game and I have to say - it's a masterpiece.
Granted, the decision to completely switch up the gameplay for the final boss was a very bold one, but the new controls were so engaging and responsive, and the general idea melds so well with the game's messages that it just works perfectly.
I wish more people knew about and played Scrunt.

I never actually knew Racist Tetris was an obscure game outside my country. It isn't some crazy new thing, but I find it to be a pretty soothing experience in comparison to other versions of Tetris.
There was actually something tgat could be called a racist Tetris that was pulled and really hoped Odd header would go for the real example here. It was (according to the developers) an "educational" game about slave trade where you were supposed to fit slaves into the cargo hold using Tetris mechanics. Totally real, not AF joke at all, just can't remember the title of the thing (maybe for the better).

I don't think it would do well today's modern systems tho. It really was a game built for and around the NES.

I heard of Scrunt before this video... but it was under the name "Geedis" which Whang had looked into the mystery of. Oddly, he never made this connection to Scrunt!
I'm really surprised you didn't mention Minecraft 2. I still remember playing it a ton back in 2015 when it first released. It was a huge hit but unfortunately it had to be removed from stores due to it featuring an easter egg where Steve would turn to face the camera and then give a long and detailed explanation on how to make crystal meth. It was pulled from store shelves almost immediately after this easter egg was discovered. I still had my copy for a while after that, but unfortunately the FBI raided my house, beat my ass, and then confiscated my copy. The weirdest part was that everyone has seemingly forgotten about this game since then, despite it being a sequel to the highest selling game of all time. Does anyone remember when this happened?

Yeah I remember the weird reviews Scrunt got back in the day. People kept calling it "amazeballs" and after it's repeated use around describing the game the word actually entered the English dictionary.

Man, my uncle gave me a copy of scrunt when I was real little, and I used to love playing that game- but I would always be shocked that nobody on the play ground ever heard of it, I even got in trouble because teachers thought I was saying something else. Scrunt should be a cultural icon, we need to petition Nintendo for a remake!

I actually own the Scrunt game! Found it at a yard sale and it is by far my most rare and valuable game in my vast collection. Such a shame many won’t be able to experience the Joe Rogan level
I don't know why people have to make random intentional controversies. Because if I'm not mistaken about Sonic 3, it has the exclusive OST something to do with Michael Jackson, which is removed in Sonic Origins. And I wish I could play old 80s/90s games to know what they had fun back then.

I have just been letting my youtube play things while I game and forgot it was april fools and was like okay cool, a new oddheader vid, and just have been sorta listening, thinking "wow, these were pretty boldly contriversal things, no wonder they got pulled" but they are all believeable cause they are from a different time, but then I saw Scrunt and was like "WAIT A SECOND, THATS GEEDIS!" and very quickly came to the realization i was being duped haha! Great video!
Introducing the video with an actual game was genius, I started questioning myself about the "Naked Mario" until I realised that we're still April 1st.
