Thank you for a very good discussion regarding Sonos Arc and sound bars in general, from someone with considerable experience with sound bars and home theater systems and obviously knows what their talking about. This review was the deciding factor in helping me decide on the Sonos Arc as the sound bar to get and be a perfect complement to the 75 inch big screen that I plan on purchasing. It has the added benefit of being able to add on, at the appropriate time for me, the Sub Gen 3 and one SL to take an already great system to the next level for a full immersive surround sound experience.

Found someone selling the Arc and the Sub Gen 3 on FB Marketplace for $800 total, so ofc came to figure out if it's worth the investment. Thanks for such a detailed video!
Nice review, I have the sl’s in my family room, great sound with music. Really hard to justify $800 for the arc but just got a 65’ Samsung I think I will give it a try. Just won’t tell my family the cost. Wish me luck, thx.

I have the Beam with the gen 3 Sub. I was on the fence for a while regards getting the Sub but I have to say it is the best investment i’ve made recently. It really does take the Beam and Play 1’s to the next level.
I recently ordered the Sonos Arc for all my multimedia needs which includes PC gaming, streaming and so on but with only a thick wall separating our units I didn't want to cause any problems with my neighbors on both sides. I appreciate the expert advice that B The Installer provides to the public and without any sugar coating while everyone else just assumes that you live in a house that has a big living room, entertainment room or basement etc. and tells you that you need to buy the Sub gen 3 and Sonos SL speakers for the complete experience which isn't the case for everyone. Thank You B The Installer
Hi from Bulgaria, Great video ... you help me choose my LG OLED and now I continue with the choice of sound system :) i will start with ARC, and after that Sub gen 3... keep up the good work!
I’ve been running Sonos products throughout my house for years. Along with a “Move” for the summers patio. Play one’s in most bedrooms, a 3 in the office, 2 ones and sub, and the beam in living room. Great sound for movie sports etc… I have not upgraded my original Sonos speakers which are all working and sounding great. Very pricey at the time to purchase but the years I’ve enjoyed them well worth the investment. Music also sounds fantastic to the point that I sold all of my audio equipment.
As a Sonos Eco System owner of: Arc,Sub,Sonos1x2. I have something to say. The app actually isn't easy to use for non techy owners. I had the system for a year now, and I realized their major flaw... That is the connectivity. This is their best feature; yet it can be the owner's nightmare. Let me explain. The entire system is integrated into the app via your WI-FI network. Router shoots out new Internet Protocol (IP) Address along with DNS, DHCP when it restarts. Let's say that your area had a local power or internet outage or you accidentally plugged out the ARC, or Sub, or anything connected to your Home Theatre System... Your nightmare begins. You now have a NEW Internet Protocol Address. The App won't detect your systems since your DHCP has been resetted. Be prepared to uninstall the App, factory reset the system, reconnect the installation that takes around 30min - 45 min to configure. You try to reconnect your system into the app, and now comes hell. it will not detect your surrounds or fail to connect wi-fi. WTF is going on? Prepare to unlink the TV WI-FI and retype the new password. Restart the phone, and disconnect from wi-fi, and reconnect by typing new password. Now you're ready. But wait... every saved data on your eco system is now gone. Alexa needs to be reconfigured too. It is hell. For price of the entire eco system, go with Sennheiser Ambeo Max. Seriously. Easier to use, and better quality of sound for same price of entire eco 5.1 set. The Pro of this system is that the Atmos is amazing; however, for the amount of problem it can encounter if your internet is down, it is not worth it. Wired Connection is necessary as an option for people that don't want internet system.
Great review - I have just moved to a detached house in UK where I finally get to design my own, medium-sized music/home cinema room. I have an installer lined up and he’s recommended the 3 Sonos components you review here. You’ve really helped me to decide to go ahead with all 3. I was going to use these with a new Sony A90J 65” but have decided to save a few quid (=English bucks !) and go with the LG CX 65” which everyone seems to love to bits and you seem to, here, as well. Thanks for the clarity !
Ex home theatre sales and installer when 5.1 and DVD were kings. Great review B and good to see Sonus available now. Anyway I am sold on the full kit. Now to go watch your 4K TV video, cheers Peter
*I like the old style Echo Dot because it's small also **Newest.Technology**, gives out decent sound and doesn't take up a lot of shelf space if you want to put it on beam in the workshop or shed.*
This video made me decide it was time to upgrade from the Playbar to the Arc once I got my new LG CX. I appreciate your clear, simple way of reviewing tech. Wish I could hire you to mount my Arc.
Great video dude thanks for all the information. I'm wondering about this setup with the sub (and possibly ones for rears) vs a full AV setup. The biggest plus is obviously its more minimalistic and can add these multipurpose Sonos speakers whenever. I've also seen the JBL 9.1, Samsung HW-Q90R and Sony HT-ST5000 are also seemingly crowd-favourites too. Any opinions/ recommendations?
I love it the moment I heard the quality at the store n after owning the Arc n Sub I m loving it every day n it’s planning to the SL 1 surround speakers after seeing your review. Tks for sharing your experience. Awesome
Wouldn't change my mind. Got 2x One gen2, Beam, Sub gen3 and 2x Fives. Amazing for the price point and the ease of use just makes it great, can grab speakers to kitchen, backyard, what ever and play music all over the house at parties while able to have a blast watching movies with full surround.
I just purchased and set up the Arc, Sub Gen 3 and already had the Sonos one pair, and a 65 inch Samsung Frame. This is an amazing system and I’ve had many many years of home theater systems. The Sonos app also lets me feed the audio to my other Sonos speakers throughout the house and the Samsung TV remote is synced with the app so I can adjust the volume (or pause it) of the surround sound setup with my phone as well. Oh and that sub is fantastic, much better tight sounding bass than my larger older Pyramid sub . Thanks for the good review and scoring. I would agree with your 10.5 score.
Great review! I have the Sonos Arc myself I agree with the breakdown. The sub definitely makes a huge difference. My question is, with regards to the rears, would the sound quality diminish if you added the IKEA Symfonisk?
I don't know, but I've never bought anything at ikea that was "quality" on the level of a sonos whole home speaker. So..... but then again, rears only do like 10% of noises. But these SLs are great for music, add a lot of sound
You aren't able to add the Symfonisk as surround speakers to this system. Only as stereo speakers. Even though it is the same internals, Sonos has intentionally set the software so that you cannot set the Ikea speakers as surround speakers. So you would only be getting the same L&R that you get from the arc. I know from experience.
Hi B! Thanks for this review! I just bough this setup for 1.499 € (Sale) and tbh I am going to connect them through Ethernet, even though I have WiFi 6 at home. Want to get out the best of them 🤩👍🙌
Sooo happy to hear this review! I just purchased the Arc (waiting for delivery) and picked up the Sonos Bass today after a good amount of researching, but this video has given me confidence that I made the right call to move my home theater sound over to more Sonos products in my home. Thanks B!
Great video i just purchased sonos beam sonos arc 2 sonos ones gen 2 and 1 sub gen 3 what a treat sounds like a mini theatre { disney plus now has imax sound at home}
My wife has just bought me the full package..arc & sub gen 3 and the sl's with stands..but...she won't let me get my sticky little Mits on it until Christmas Day, I feel like a ten year old longing for the 25th.. great review btw
I want to get that and see but this sonos is with its whole home is something that my clients love. Very inexpensive compared to $20k automation that needs an integrator to change a light bulb.
Definitely the duel subwoofers! 🔊 🔊 It’s makes more immersive feeling into whatever your watching. Though if he doesn’t like the LG controller the Nakimachi will throw him for a loop. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This video has been very helpful my man… I’m getting ready go out and get the LG 77 inch OLED G1 Evo and the Sonos arc sound bar and the Sonos sub GEN 3 thanks for all the great information✔️👍🏽👌🏽😀
Perfect video man! Exactly what I was looking for. One question: Do you think having Sonos 5’s instead of the Sonos 1’s for surround speakers is worth the extra $600?
@@icn2u-rrr327 ha, I'm sure it is 😆 the SLs aren't like amazing speakers. The 5s are huge so probably for music in full mode, but I wish you could just pull a speaker and take outside without having to disconnect from the original room. I may say, save the $600 for another room speaker or a second ARC for a bedroom or something.
@@kostiantynsavostin3559 Samsung is Harmon Kardon now & there new HW Q95A 11.4 System is really good, especially paired with a new QN90q TV which uses the TV speakers to up fire while connecting to the bar
I got the Arc last year and have been so impressed with the Soundbar on its own. My GF just got me the One SL for Christmas so now I’m just as excited to try out the surround sound experience. I’m in a small Semi in a small room about 12x18 so I will opt out of the Sub and save some $ LOL
I just bought the 5.1.2 system but I also bought a 2nd sub. This is because I have a theater at home with a seating of 8. I can’t wait to hear this once’s it’s set up!!
Perfect video. I have been researching this space a lot. For me the Arc with Sub seems to be the combo to get. It is more than I want to spend but am interested in getting into the Sonos ecosystem. You are the best!
Great video, exactly what I was wondering. I just made this decision in 2022, hopefully it still rings true!! Trying to decide if I should just pull the trigger on Sub G3 at -$150 off. Haven't even heard the Sonos yet, still shipping 🤣
Big yes the best system i have ever had especially with 2 bases as good as being in a cinema can feel it through the air and in the floor and walls when watching movies
Commented on a different video just now. I just got the arc and sub a month ago and it’s amazing. Tonight I picked up a pair of ones (best buy didn’t have the SLs so I bit the bullet and got the more expensive ones) they take the arc and sub to that next level. If you have the $ this system (arc, sub and ones) is seriously bonkers! My wife looked at me after setting up the surrounds and said “I feel like I’m in the movie theater!”.
I’m downgrading my home theatre as I live in an apartment. I had a klipsch system with Svs sb3000 and I got a noise complaint so I decided to start selling it. I’m planning on just getting a sound bar either the Arc, or Bose 900. I probably won’t be adding the sub to keep my neighbours happy. Thanks for the video
Great review....I have had several home theaters, and I have never felt the same way after I purchased my sonos system...example when you are watching you feel the helicopter above, amazing....I am glad you made a review that made sense...I have purchased the sonos arc, and the sub 3 and its is amazing, was holding back on the soround speakers, if I have invested on my home theater why not 2 more speakers and I am done...thanks again...
Check out @peter pee as he compares them to a point. It will add a good bit of bass, especially mids and the One SL are good for surround but not that powerful.
This is excellent! I always look for videos where there is a opinion as I was looking for one, not that it depends on user. You rock, subscribed for life :)
Recently bought the LG OLED G1 (Gallery series) TV. Been holding off on buying a surround sound system for YEARS - basically because of pricing and because I’m not about to run wires through my walls and floors. Not to mention that if we move or even just rearrange our furniture it’s often a nightmare to reroute wires, possibly drill new holes. So for me wireless was the only route I wanted to take. I did, however, feel based off of reviews, advice from friends and family, and personal testing that at the time of it’s arrival full on full wireless surround sound systems had much stronger room for improvement. Now I feel like it’s finally reached the point where it’s worth putting a wireless system in my home. Bought the Arc, Gen3 Sub, and the 2 SL’s. Sports may not be the best first thing to test it out on but I’m excited to have it before the Super Bowl. And even if this video wasn’t completely sold out on buying this trio of center, rear, and sub - the thousands of reviews that continue to rank these individual models at 5 starts is enough for me to hear the difference and finally test it out.
This video is one year old and Sonos till date beats its rivals. It blew my mind when I heard it for the first time in store with arc alone, then with Gen 3 sub and then 2 sls. I just ended up buying everything even though it was way off my budget. B cause it's worth it 😍 as Brendon says.
I got it all but the SUB Going to order it right now I love Sonia hear it does blow everyone away when they say where’s that sound coming from What just from that And I say yes but it’s not cheap hehe But I can’t resist quality Sonia 11/10 for me
I've had many Sonos products for at least 10 years. I look forward to upgrading my old playbar, old sub and old play:1's for the newer equipment. I will plan for it next year. Great video by the way.
Of course you must buy the sub and sonos one gen 2 for the Alexa assistant My setup is this and I have a 77 inch LG CX OLED. My setup is in a 10x11 bedroom. Score 10/10
Great video! Been researching soundbars for the past few months, but couldn't decide on a soundbar until I, just now, saw your review. Will be getting the Arc and SLs today as they are available next to each other, the Sub absent from the display. Will putchase later. Thanks!
Thx B. You’ve just reinforced my decision on what I’ve already ordered… the Sonos Arc. I got a pair of Sonos One SLs…. And by themselves they are incredible little speakers. I also ordered the Sonos port so that I can add my legacy system and existing sub to play together… at least I hope it can 😬. If it doesn’t I guess I’ll have to pick up the Gen 3 sub. I’m still trying to figure out how to add these One SLs as surround speakers with my System. Love your videos tho. Please don’t lose your sense of humor, it’s great. 😂 Leaving in subtle jokes goes a long way. 👍🏼
Very helpful video. I have a Sonos Arc on the way to pair with my new Sony X950H tv. My plan is to just have the Arc for now, since I’m in an apartment, and potentially add on later. I love that the Sonos system lets you do that and piece out upgrades. After watching I feel really really confident with my purchase!
I’m new to this sound system thing. I watched several videos and yours was the most educational. We moved to bigger house I purchased a Samsung Neo Qled 85” TV to go on the wall The sound system I purchased to go with the TV was the Sonos system… I purchased 2 Era 300 speakers, Arc sound bar and the Subwoofer Gen 3… since you mentioned the speakers plus the arc are such a good system, should I save $$$ and not use the Sub and go just with the Arc plus 2 speakers? Please lmk thank you 🙏
Thx. I finally got my arc yesterday from bestbuy as it was backordered everywhere! Man this thing is amazing! This video def helps me as i was considering what to get next. I am def going to get the sub and rears now. I was worried about sync issues with my samsung q80t tv but so far havent had any issues. As far as testing dolby atmos i was able to test it on on amazon primes jack ryan season 1 and it was amazing. And my phone confirmed i was in atmos. Kinds wish there a way other than my phone to see if i was in thag mode. But atoms amd eARC are still new so guess it will take time for more content to become avail. Great video!
What if you want more? See the upgrade video. ruclips.net/video/VQHemWOnjpk/видео.html
I currently have the play bar. And use some now out of production play:3s for sorround which i really love.
What would you go for first of the sonos Arc or a Sonos Sub
Or even more different. Would you get the sonos amp, together with some towerspeakers like the Dali Oberon 5.
I would add the sub before moving playbar to arc.. the amp pushes some power so if the speakers are good, it will also sound good on 2 channels

I was going to use these with a new Sony A90J 65” but have decided to save a few quid (=English bucks !) and go with the LG CX 65” which everyone seems to love to bits and you seem to, here, as well. Thanks for the clarity !
Two thumbs up! Greetings from Canada.
🙏🙏
Get the sanus SASB1, pretty nice way to connect it to the tv. Very solid.
B The Installer That will be able to connect to the Arc to the SANUS CILF124 TV Mount?
Yes
@@BTheInstaller Ordered! Any chance you can help me out with a PS5 preorder?
No. Can you help me? I was at BB when it all went down. People were contradicting each other. The whole store was a buzz with misinformation.
I was going to buy a cheap Vizio system but now I’m considering a Sonos setup for 10x more. Thanks ... 😢
That will happen
Get the vizio elevate system.
Dude you just made my decision easy. More into music but when I watch videos I want the hits punches and squealing tires. I’m doing it all
Great video dude thanks for all the information.
Awesome
Love the Vincent reference 😂
I just bought this setup in white but without the speakers. Sick system
You got the sub, you're good.
B The Installer I actually ended up getting speaker Gen 1 Sl for rear with white stands. I hope the speakers will be worth it
Thanks for the video brother ,, 🙂 love from sweden ❤❤❤
🙏 🙏
Wouldn't change my mind. Got 2x One gen2, Beam, Sub gen3 and 2x Fives. Amazing for the price point and the ease of use just makes it great, can grab speakers to kitchen, backyard, what ever and play music all over the house at parties while able to have a blast watching movies with full surround.
Thanks for the video.. can you compare the Arc to LGs SN11RG..
I'm considering the LG CX and trying to decide which soundbar to pair with it
I just did in this video.

I would agree with your 10.5
score.
Ben Brewer You can add the IKEA Symfonisks as rear speakers to all SONOS soundbars.
Thanks, I didn't comment as I didn't know for certain. Glad you can clear that up.
Thanks for the feedback
Very happy with my new Sonos Arc + Sub Gen3 + SL One: absolutly Amazing!! Thanks a lot for the review !
Now the next move will be to get a 2nd sub or not? Lol.
Got the arc in white, love it and sounds great without a sub.....but I want one 🤣
Just purchased the Arc and the Gen3 sub with the confidence of your video and others. Thanks! Hope it sounds amazing :)
Did you set up your SL in ambient or full?
Just bought the system, but back ordered...ugh! Cant wait.
Arc with Play 5 x2 vs. Arc with Sub g3 + play 1 x2 :: Fight!
Stop man... my wife is going to kill me. Uh good idea.
Or the Arc with Sub g3 and 2x 5s instead of 1s for surround?
I'd need a bigger room for that.
Sascha Schulze yes! But I heard that might overkill the base?
Hi B! Thanks for this review! I just bough this setup for 1.499 € (Sale) and tbh I am going to connect them through Ethernet, even though I have WiFi 6 at home. Want to get out the best of them 🤩👍🙌
Great review! The most definitely review on Sonus Arc I've watched. Does Sonus allow to add another sub?
Sooo happy to hear this review! I just purchased the Arc (waiting for delivery) and picked up the Sonos Bass today after a good amount of researching, but this video has given me confidence that I made the right call to move my home theater sound over to more Sonos products in my home. Thanks B!
Nice. I just did the upgrade video as well. Check it out.
You tried 2 subs on the arc... overkill or perfect for a big room?
Great video 👍
2 subs is probably overkill the sonos sub really pounds
Just get 5s for rears to add bass if sub not enough.
Great video i just purchased sonos beam sonos arc 2 sonos ones gen 2 and 1 sub gen 3 what a treat sounds like a mini theatre { disney plus now has imax sound at home}
You should look at the Klipsch cinema 600 and review that B!
Klipsch is garbage.
best Introduction ever!! Welcome to my house SONOS!! aiming for 10.5/10 ;)
You guys in US talk about 799 dollars being expensive. Meanwhile we in the UK pay that number in pounds….
I know your pain :( In Japan the Arc costs about $1,150. Even worse... an last years LG CX 77" model costs around $5,500!!
Lol you think the avg American can drop 800 for something like this? Lmao
My wife has just bought me the full package..arc & sub gen 3 and the sl's with stands..but...she won't let me get my sticky little Mits on it until Christmas Day, I feel like a ten year old longing for the 25th.. great review btw
THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE. NONE OF THOSE ARE WORTH IT.
THE ONLY BEST SOUND BAR IS THE NAKAMICHI SHOKEWAFE 9.2 SOUND. BAR.
I saw that thing. I would just use the harmony but am interested in seeing that system.

This video has been very helpful my man… I’m getting ready go out and get the LG 77 inch OLED G1 Evo and the Sonos arc sound bar and the Sonos sub GEN 3 thanks for all the great information✔️👍🏽👌🏽😀
What do you think? Also see best 4k TV of 2020 ruclips.net/video/AGV8Y_PzTMA/видео.html
B The Installer much appreciated, my wallet thanks you 😄
Is this sound bar better than the lg sk9 sound bar? I wanna know cause I want to upgrade to get the best sound I can get when I watch movies
You should have mentioned about Sony. The Ht-St 5000 (7.1.2 atmos soundbar is great)
Great review of the Sonos ARC! You've made my decision really easy to pull the trigger on this bar.
Nice. Sonos is going to get some funds from me today. Doing the Arc, sub and surrounds. Thanks for the video.
In a word: NO u shouldnt buy anything Sonos instead look out for REAL audio brands like jbl, harman kardon and Polk Audio
is Samsung real audio brand?
Yeah no doubt. You have to get the sub second.
Let me say thank you for not torturing your viewers with unboxing videos, bless you for that! Good review 👍
Haha, yeah man. I'm all about keeping attention. Doesn't seem that interesting to me.
Thanks. Some even say get the 5s and really have it Pound.
@@BTheInstaller Have you had a chance to try with the Play 5s as rears?
Check out @peter pee as he compares them to a point. It will add a good bit of bass, especially mids and the One SL are good for surround but not that powerful.
Picked up ARC, Gen 3 and 2 OSLs! Love it. Great video. Thanks.
This is excellent! I always look for videos where there is a opinion as I was looking for one, not that it depends on user. You rock, subscribed for life :)
i just ordered the sub and arc. they gave me 30% off. already in the sonos world. Also bought the new amps too. No more receivers!
How did you get the 30% off?? That's nicee
@@chuychuy5107 upgrade promotions!
I LOVE SONOS, really thinking about getting the Arc to replace my Playbar
Both are good. Can move the playbar to bedroom ??
@@BTheInstaller if only I had enough money to keep both!
This video is one year old and Sonos till date beats its rivals. It blew my mind when I heard it for the first time in store with arc alone, then with Gen 3 sub and then 2 sls. I just ended up buying everything even though it was way off my budget. B cause it's worth it 😍 as Brendon says.
Great video, excellent review and clear explanation. Found all other review videos they waffled and bored me. Not this one, thanks!
I got it all but the SUB
Going to order it right now
I love Sonia hear it does blow everyone away when they say where’s that sound coming from
What just from that
And I say yes but it’s not cheap hehe
But I can’t resist quality Sonia 11/10 for me
You must be typing with an iPhone lol I keep doing searches or discussing it in text and I keep saying Sonia everywhere! Haha
I caught the cyber Monday sale and was able to get all of these in a bundle for $200 off. Can’t wait to install them in my home theater.
Awesome.
I've had many Sonos products for at least 10 years. I look forward to upgrading my old playbar, old sub and old play:1's for the newer equipment. I will plan for it next year. Great video by the way.
Wow awesome straight talk review on the Sonos ARC! .... I subscribed!
Of course you must buy the sub and sonos one gen 2 for the Alexa assistant My setup is this and I have a 77 inch LG CX OLED. My setup is in a 10x11 bedroom. Score 10/10
Haha, that is lot of juice. I do like the CX. I have 2 of them. That video was just for some of those minor things.
@@BTheInstaller thanks champ
Excellent information. Now I feel like I need all of this great stuff …. :)
Alot of people are going nuts over Samsung q990c but i think sonos soundbars and other speakers are king
You the man. Best product review ever. Thanks mate. Off to buy the arc and sub!
✌ get it.
My man. I don't like videos, but the "in the rear" joke had me dead. Here's a new sub and a like.
Great video. Cleared up a lot of questions I had. Thanx for taking the time.
I’m new to this sound system thing. I watched several videos and yours was the most educational. We moved to bigger house I purchased a Samsung Neo Qled 85” TV to go on the wall
The sound system I purchased to go with the TV was the Sonos system… I purchased 2 Era 300 speakers, Arc sound bar and the Subwoofer Gen 3… since you mentioned the speakers plus the arc are such a good system, should I save $$$ and not use the Sub and go just with the Arc plus 2 speakers?
