40%+ strikeout in spring training against many minor league pitchers. 50% strikeout rate against major league pitching thus far in 2024. His defense is equally deplorable. Why is he still on the Reds roster? Elly is one big swing & miss WHIFF from both sides of the plate. If 2024 spring training to date is progress, God help the Reds. He is so immature in so many ways physically, mentally, and performance wise he reminds me of One Big Hot Dog Oscar Meyer weiner. He constantly has to be the center of attention due to his child like immaturity. All of this is hurting the team. Yes, he's had ESPN super plays because of his natural abilities, but 3x others hurting the team. How many times has he struck out with a runner on 3rd base destroying an inning? His alleged super star abilities has resulted in being an overall Reds liability. Send him back to AAA because of poor performance to develop his God given abilities and hopefully, he will grow into a productive major league player.
