    His baseball IQ is amazing, his talent, passion and love for the game just draws people to baseball. Like they said he's just built different. I'm a die hard Cubs fan, but I watch Elly every chance I get. This kid is the future of baseball!

      He's what MLB needed more than even they knew that why they were making all the rule changes, when all they really need is to take the BS politics 🙄 🤷 you all know what else out of MLB and the market they lost may in time ⏲️ come back, we went where we could see more of US.😮😢😢😢😅😂😂 NOT FEWER. 😢

    Been waiting 40yrs for a MLB player like this. Watches the ball. You better not be lazy with those throws bc he'll take the base. I love it. And he loves playing the game. Make a lot of players look foolish B4 he's done. 🙏 he stays healthy

    Rookie of the year. Pay him now. If you wait it will cost almost $700million. I would pay him $480 million now. If they wait another 2 years and he keeps on this pace. He will be the top player in MLB. I haven’t watched baseball in 20 years. I have been back because of this man.

      They'll probably try to lock him in as soon as possible for as little as possible because you're right, the longer they wait, it could get more and more expensive, assuming he stays healthy.

    Between de la Cruz and Ohtani, they are making baseball exciting again. Im from Chicago, and have been a White Sox fan my whole life,hate the sCUrBS. But been a die hard Bengals fan since 86. But De La Cruz, has me hoping the Reds make the playoffs, and win,since the White Sox suck.

    So crazy! Dude has a league 93rd best .741 OPS and a lower fielding percentage than the average at his positions. Yet if you polled MLB fans about his chance at being a top 10 greatest player of all time, the majority of them would somehow fail to say "zero or close to zero", which is the accurate number. Fascinating.

      I'm not sure you should speak so fast.
      I don't think you'll get the outcome you're expecting.
      Elly is great in a ton of different ways for baseball. Great for their division, for Reds fans, the Cincinnati franchise, great for the city, he's exciting to watch for young kids and die-hard life long baseball fans.
      But the records he's setting are team records for the Cincinnati Reds.
      Shohei's beating and setting all-time records for the league.. Meaning, for every team.
      From 2 positions.
      They are both great for baseball. Good examples on and off the field and you can see how much they love to play the game.
      I'd rather embrace the two exciting players feats and enjoy the show than trying to put one above the other (don't forget, you'll lose on your side)
