That guy is an absolute beast. He has a Canon for an arm, more power with the bat than almost anybody, super fast, and a great fielder. He can do it all. Beast.
De La Cruz is good but he’s got a lot of work to do. The plate discipline is a mess. He can be legendary if he stops being a strike out machine. Gotta get on base to smash that stolen base record. Plus, he’s gotta start smashing home runs . He’s got a ton of potential. He can be the best player in baseball. But he’s not there yet
@@BaseballUnleashed13 I got him in a keeper league. Picked him up from waivers last year. I will be keeping him and following his progress for the next three years. I feel good about my choice. He came along this season
@@jcspotter7322 Ethan Salas is 17. He's talented. Who cares? I need to see about 10 seasons before I say Hall of Fame or compare to one of the greatest players. He could get hurt tomorrow and y'all will forget about him.
De La Cruz leads MLB in offense strikeouts and fielding errors as a shortstop. Also, he leads in mental errors costing his team wins. Yet, he makes the All Star team. Go figure... No wonder baseball has gone to hell. India should have been selected - Not hot dog DeLaCruz.
Sorry, the highly talented Cruz is overrated thus far. In one game, he is all-world making a spectacular play, and the next two, he makes either a mental error or a fielding error costing the Reds a game. It's inexcusable. Furthermore, he has played in over 200 mlb games, and it gets old the Reds announcers emphasing he is all world and only 22 years old, rationalizing the aforementioned. It appears he never learns either due to his immaturity, outright stupidity, or his mlb leading in actual strike outs with runners in scoring positions, all inclusive, further hurting the team. His swollen big head, the never-ending praise Reds announcers give him, has gone way overboard. For Lords sake, his team is in last place with a losing record. That certainly isn't all his fault, but he has contributed more than his fair share for a losing team record. In fairness, he and the Reds need a new kick ass manager that holds players accountable. If Bell comes back, it will be the same old wait for next year scenario.
@Cream147player TONIGHT, Another dumb dumb dumb poorest decision play by De La Cruz OUT stealing 3rd base for the 3rd out, ending an inning with a runner on 1st base with Reds down 6-0. That is a huge baseball no-no SIN that even a minor league Class A player would know better. Over 200 games in mlb and he still hasn't learned a thing. All the excuses made for him have worn its welcome out on this last place team. It is exactly why Bell is a last place manager. La Cruz is no doubt a huge major talent, but has to be the poorest on field dumbest player in all of baseball. A past pro active manager would have jerked La Cruz's butt out of the lineup for his egregious screwup chewing his butt out. In the past, for Sparky Anderson, he would have worn the bench splinters out for his hotdog antics. I'm telling you, the La Cruz honeymoon is over because he eventually will have the clubhouse in disarray.
But I still hope the dodgers take him because Cruz is the most overrated player on the Reds. We don’t need him or want him he’s perfect for the dodgers. Give us Enrique Hernandez for him
Sadly he cooled down so much that if he doesn’t heat back up he won’t even get MVP votes. Batting avg wet way down and ops went way down. Steals are only thing impressive anymore about his season. But that’s ok he is still young he will get there in the next couple of years
So far hes not a good hitter or fielder but its only his second year. Hes a average hitter so far this year in my opinion but he strikes out to much and grounds into double plays alot

He's a kid . He's got loads of talent and athletic ability. He works hard to improve . He will one day be a legitimate superstar in MLB
Agree
Kids a blast to watch. He’s got a great future ahead of him if he can stay healthy!
One best Young Stars MLB has currently!
I’d like to see his hitting develop. More home runs, less strikeouts.
With time and more plate experience it will come!
Needs more to up the on base percentage....the homers are gonna naturally come

He definitely has strikeout problems. But he’s 22

I wont lie. I just went to the Reds v Red Sox game June 21 and saw zelly strike out 3 times and get grounded out but Elly is amazing i know that
..ELECTRIFYING...So great to see the Man in action..!
Elly is so fun to watch. He still has so much untapped potential.
Imagine if Billy Hamilton could actually hit the ball. Elly might not be on the Reds suffering loss after loss.

Fielding errors isn’t a great stat, especially when applied to someone who has very good range like De La Cruz.
