Today's my last day in school. And when I wrote a goodbye letter to my favorite teacher, I couldn't think of a way to finish it that would describe how much I was going to miss him. And the only thing I could say was this song, as from the lines: "If you do, you'll know I'm thinking of you, and all the miles in between..." Because that's what Bruce does. He takes feelings that you don't know how to express, and writes them down word by word. Like no one else. And we all owe him thanks for that.

The reason The Boss puts on such a great show has less to do with his musical ability and singing, and has everything to do with the joy and love that goes into every performance. The guys have a blast on stage, and the audience gets to come to the party.
We'll all miss Clarence, who was the soul of E-Street. Rest in peace, dude.

In the 70"s my Ex worked at the Record Museum in Philadelphia. He brought this album home one night and said I had to stop cooking and listen to it. We looked at each other and laughed, we were so amazed with the music. We were hooked. At the Tower Theatre new years eve 1975 we sat 4 rows from the stage. (His job always guaranteed good seats at any venue...yeah) At the end of the concert, the crowd just seemed to float out of the theatre in silence, totally speechless. We were done. Bruce had said all there was to say. It is the best concert I've ever attended. An unforgettable experience that I treasure to this day..
I don't hear him for a while then, like yesterday, I heard Bobby Jean playing in a local store and had to stop to listen as Bruce goes right to the heart, making the day so much better whenever and wherever I happen to be. Amazing! I feel happy just writing about it!
It was years before he would be accepted for what he brings.
I remember talking about him and people just not being able to "get into" him which for me seemed really odd as Bruce's music was so fantastic and incredibly moving to my husband and me.

I once read a critics' negative review of this song, and couldn't help thinking how dam' LUCKY the guy was for NOT being able to relate.
For all those who ever blew a great chance beyond redemption, when all you can do is hand it off to the Big Man and pray for healing.
    Good night, Clarence Clemons. Godspeed.

Well, Bobby Jean, as we know, is the story of a friendship lost (temporarily) when Steve Van Zandt left the Bruces band. Both of the two mothers were from Calabria, a region of southern Italy (now unfortunately famous for its mafia - called the "Ndrangheta" - which controls much of the cocaine around).
In this song feels a strong bond of blood, which contains this common origin, mixed with the history of American "streets". Simply a Masterpiece....

This shit reminds me of my parents. I had a shitty childhood. Neither of my parents talk to me anymore and they both live close to me. These songs are the only good memories I have of them. Hey life is shit sometimes but like Bruce once sang,
"I'll be there on time and I'll pay the cost
For wanting things that can only be found
In the darkness on the edge of town"
Stand your ground. Keep the faith. Sometimes things and people don't work out. Life is isnt a fairytale. It doesn't make it any easier saying that but facing up to it does. Just know you are not the only out there going through that. There are people all over the world going through shit. Again, does doesn't make life easier saying that, but the internet brings us all closer.

The 1976-86 live album which i first heard in 1992 is life changing!!! Amazing music, but I have to say, he performed recently at Glastonbury and everyone who saw it said it was the most energtic performance ever, the man is an inspiration, this is the talent that record companies fail to produce, too busy with one hit wonders, no longetivity, rock on Bruce!!
