I chose the song because I grew up walking these streets listening to this song
At the end of the video I chose a group of Somalis in a rally, the reason is as the camera pans you'll see different Somalis from everywhere, young and old but one thing they have in common is working together for greater #Somalia defending & benefiting together as Somalis.

Wow! This is unbelievable, but the young man at 0.21 is Me! Now I'm not Somalian but I was there in Mogadishu Somali in 1983 with the US Navy at a time when the country was prosperous and quite stable.
Btw, It was accidental that I came across this video, and what a surprise I got when I saw myself in the opening footage of me on the streets of Mogadishu,, I was blown away by what I saw. At the time I was 21 and it was my first time on the African continent. I remember walking around Mogadishu, checking out the sights and the people, I was only in Somali for one two weeks and It was all breath taking and overwhelming. Many of the people thought that I was Somali, but when I opened my mouth to speak, it was the English language that came out, but the people were very kind to me and treated me as a brother. For me it was something much more, I felt as if I was being welcomed back home to Africa , it was quite an emotional and moving experience to be in a country were everyone looked similar to me. So to see this video was a wonderful surprise is an understatement. Truly Nostalgic indeed!
I want to wish all the Somali peoples the best and may they prosper in all their endeavors.

That's a sad reality, I was told by a somali uncle it's like leaving your house because its messed up and you're to lazy/ not bothered to fix your own house so you knock on your neighbour's house and ask to stay with them. They let you in and all the while you keep there house tidy and contribute to it your own house is rotting. That made me think I really want to go back to somali try add something positive. I know for sure that if a good number of us come back to Somalia there would be a large surge of demands and we would have to supply ourselves. That means building factories/industrial areas and having only Somalis work, the economy will rise just by us coming in numbers because Alhamdulillah we do have some benefits from the west that we can take. Like doctors, engineers, etc plus we would know how to build a great infrastructure. The west is becoming harder and harder for muslims to live in and what a beautiful thing to leave the troubles and the west and move and benefit our countries. We could live like kings and queens back at home with a bit of hard work but we rather be relaxed and pay tax that build another mans country.
I hope Somalia becomes like this again. Great nation unlike refugees who are nothing but burden to countries.

Brothers and sisters our dreams of a better Somalia can come true, but it requires that we all play a part. All of us that are living outside of somali need to come back. The more people in the country the higher the demands and that means we need to supply which in turn means we need to build factories/ industrial areas and not export/ outsource services. We need to buy and sell within ourselves to raise a strong economy, but first we need a community that hold the similar interests so we can unit and move as 1 body. Living in the west has become harder and harder for the muslims and what a great chance to be part of the solution to fix our country. We can live like kings and queens back home but we rather be relaxed pay tax and build another mans country. Please feel free to add anything or correct me.
