I heard the same about "awful food" before I visited first on Halloween 2022. My third visit is going to be this Halloween and I can´t disagree more so far! We went to Silverspur Steakhouse, Chez Remy, Jack´s, Plaza Gardens, Café Agrabah, Auberge de Cendrillon, Golden Forest Lounge at Sequoia Lodge and Victoria´s. Literally every menu or buffet we tried was very good at least (often even spectacular)! I can only guess the same as you that most folks who claim that DLP food is of bad taste/ quality are referring to all that fast food stuff in the parks and never really tried one of the restaurants with table service and reservations there! Don´t understand it otherwise. And it wasn´t just me - even our friends and family all came to the same conclusion after trying the food. So maybe people should specify what food exactly they are talking about at Disneyland cause there are huge differences! We are also going to test Royal Banquet at Disneyland Hotel, Compass Club Lounge at Newport Bay and Pym´s as "new additions" for us this time - so can´t say much about those yet. Thx for your insight on Walt´s cause we´ve never been there, too, so far. Guess I´ll check it out in 2 years when Frozen is finally supposed to open. 😉
