There was a Buckley I had seen and chatted with years ago on a forum or chat room. He used to post live videos and song files. From his post, the first time they played Classic Jazz. Pretty sure I still have that video.
For real the whole package is beautiful the guitar itself, the tone, and thensuble nuances of his playing style. Seeing them in 2 1/2 months it's like all the memories of warped tour are flooding back.
This brings me back to such a more simple time. 8th grade with my literal bloody senses fail tee and my Sony non skip cd player listening to based on a true story over and over on the bus. God damn life goes by so fast.
I literally just got lost in this video. Didn't even realize it but I just snapped out of it and I"m 15 minutes in and forgot everything else happening around me. What a blast from the past. The guys still sound pretty good.
i was at this show and it's become the most memorable concert i've ever been to. i don't know of any other bands in this genre who have been at it for so long with the same original members
@@xx_420_blz_it_xx5 unfortunately that dirtbag wrote the lyrics. His soul is in the heart of the songs so I just can’t and won’t listen to them any longer. It’s not the other members fault, but we’re talking about lyrics. For an emo pop punk band that’s kind of the whole deal. :( Joe Marino is also a former member though too.
It's incredible how good they are live after like 10 plus years with huge gaps in between playing together. They need to make a new record, I think a lot of people feel this way. They're still all more than capable.
Just the memories of these guys live in early 2000s makes them number one on my list ….. back to the small white van pizza places with no stage days…. Amazing time
Leaving gave me the chills. The best they've ever sounded and better than the studio recording. I like the raspy/deeper vocals better it makes it feel more like a Midwestern emo song than a pop punk song.
Best set ever.. reliving many times over and over. Chills right now. I love you starting line! The saddest day of my life is when I lost my starting line sweatshirt with the clover on it 😢
Nostalgia triggered!! They sound amazinggg!! Their first 3 albums got me from middle school through high school. Then in college I remember watching a super sad documentary about their record label dropping them. Cant wait to catch them live. Cant wait to support them again!!
Everyone who loves this music has eternal youth. ❤️ Don't EVER let this (the) miserable (in the) world make you grow out of this feeling that we won't give up. idgaf how many times you've been around the sun.
Thank you Kenny for these amazing songs that defined my teenage years. Say It Like You Mean It is my soundtrack to my high school days making mix tapes for girls. These songs are absolutely phenomenal. The songwriting is top notch. My man!
I really appreciate how they’ve found this balance between being nostalgic and still being genuinely good. A lot of bands from this era keep going and going and just aren’t good live anymore, and I think it’s because they keep working for the money. They need it, and so they push and push and push and they just come off as tired. None of the original members are around, and it’s like one or two members just milking whatever they can from their shrinking fame. But TSL feels different. It feels like they’ve all moved on and are happy and healthy and they choose to get back together every year or so to do a couple of shows because they want to and because they miss their fans. It’s like they “check in” with us and let us “check in” with them. It doesn’t feel forced, it doesn’t feel desperate. It feels like they want to remember what they made and accomplished and we as fans do too. There’s not a single fan at this show who doesn’t know every word to every song. No ones lost or confused. No one on stage looks near death. It’s just a rare moment where both the artists and the fans get together annually to be a family again. Awesome to see.
The early 2000's were interesting, one of the best pop punk bands, yet look how underground they are today, the songs even have some 90's Emo and 90's Melodic Hardcore influences
I would happily erase every pop-punk album released after they went on hiatus from history if it meant getting one more full Starting Line album again. They were/are too good, and they still sound so tight after all this time.
How am I only finding this now? This is a good. Like a lot of the comments, this brings me back simpler times. Chain smoking, hanging out in friends basements, and going to shows. No cares just having a damn good time. They sound good but let's be honest, they could've sounded like absolute crap and I would've loved every second, that's how much I love the starting line and how much they mean to me.

It's 24 years later and these songs still hit as hard as they did when I was 16. Timeless jams.
Dude same! Brings me super nostalgia
Their guitarist has excellent tone and great playing. Love the black tele!
Yeah his playing is so tight

It does but its all about making memories and connections. And the fact that we have music we love like this is a total bonus.
Brother, that anti-skip feature was essential for those back road bus rides to school!

So true!
Watching this brought a tear to my eye, so nostalgic. NFG has all the original members that matter, just the dirt bag that got kicked out.

Amen ✅so awesome to watch

They still got it and I agree have improved a lot live
Dude this brings back SOOOOO many memories 😭
Just love how Kenny is still so energetic on stage after all these years
He is awesome!!! One of my all time fav bands!!

he reminds me of Kenny Bridges from Moneen so much... how energetic he is, his voice, everything
The sound quality is amazing.
You are by far the best at capturing the feels!
Loved that Starting Line gave a shoutout to Hate5six during the show 9:35
I’ve never been so happy to see a bunch of early and mid 30 year olds in a room !!!! This music brings back so many memories we need this again !!!!!
Man , I don't know what to say, they are too good . Kenny is just so great .
Thank you for posting this
Oh hell yeah. I will be watching this on repeat

This was awesome. I cant believe they are still killing it after a decade+

Completely agree it's a beautiful thing to see to be honest
Seen them 7 times and sang with Kenny at a pizza place once. Best memories of my life ….. good times the early 2000s with these guys
This is fantastic! Very well done
Thank you for this, my friend
May your good deed rewarded you happiness and prosperity.. amen...
god, voice and instrument wise this is the best performance ive seen from them
I love the fact that kenny has kept the good vibes on stage since forever
this band man, the memories, hope to see them live someday
Whoa forgot about these guys, still sound crisp.
If Finch was on after them I'd have time traveled 20 years back lol
Warped Tour 2002 huh? Drive through Records stage?

Love you guys!!! Are the best!!
Ah, pure nostalgia.

Still my favorite pop punk album ever..motion city's commit this to memory is second..love these dudes.
So many singers, around Kennys age and even in the scene, all have destroyed their voices with non stop touring but Kenny always sounds so damn good.
They still sound incredible
Kennys never had a bad performance, this guy gives it his all.
I would happily erase every pop-punk album released after they went on hiatus from history if it meant getting one more full Starting Line album again. They were/are too good, and they still sound so tight after all this time.
Omg 01- 05 my high school years and this band...what rad times...😊
Crazy huh? Me too. I would love to see them again for the 8th time lol
Ned from Title Fight WISHES he had Kenny’s stage presence.
I can still hit his notes...

They sound better than I've ever heard. Dudes choice is legit
used to be my favorite band!
I remember the old music videos. they’re still rocking with dadbod. Go off kings.
They're still pretty f***in good.
NO BEDROOM TALK?!?!?!
Think they have a weird vibe about that song. They did it in their live sessions in the studio but don't think they like it.
@@JamesBPartridge yea i always thought that song was kinda creepy lol
sublime.
This was one of the first bands I saw as a high schooler in the early 2000s :]

Pop punk perfection. ❤️
Still killing it
They sound sooo gooood!
I don’t know why they stopped making new music. 3 albums is all we got. If they had kept going I can only imagine the library we’d have to listen to
Kenny sounds great as well as the guitars! Saw them in 2007!
What a lovely Surprise, Surprise
Can we get a show like this in the UK please? preferably in the north?
