Geoff and Tucker have always been the highlight of Full Collapse and the band to me. That is not discounting the other members of the band; I absolutely love Thursday. Hearing Full Collapse was an experience for me; my first Thursday record. It was right around when Second Stage Turbine Blade by Coheed and Cambria came out. The lyrical call back from Coheed in Hearshot Kid to Thursday about Paris In Flames was so amazing to hear. This is the post hardcore of my last years of high school. Thursday was my Refused. I've been to countless Thursday shows and Coheed shows since.
whether streamed, recorded, or live, Thursday shows are an emotional uppercut! i used to think their peak was behind them, but every show i see they prove that the best is yet to come. if that isnt an allegory for our own lives i dont know what is.
Saw these guys live like 15 years ago shortly after War All the Time at Curiosa (a Cure festival in Akron, Oh). That album got me through the loss of my brother.
Any time I think of Thursday, I think of middle school. A couple of friends played "Paris In Flames" for the school talent show. The school wouldn't let them have any vocals for some reason, haha. They had to play it instrumental. The previous year they played "Blitzkrieg Bop". They were allowed to have vocals for that song, but it was listed in the program thing as "Butch Creek Bop", haha. We were in seventh grade the year they played The Ramones song. The kid that sang it went to a different school than us. He went to a private catholic school. When they started playing it, the 9th grade punk kids came up front and the kid singing just froze in fear at the sight of public school, 9th grade punks coming toward the stage.
Thursday is so contemporary, but always so fresh and energetic - in that tragic sort of way. Full Collapse could come out tomorrow and would sweep the world again.
Only took me 17 years but i finally got to see Thursday live a few weeks ago and they were amazing. Discovered them at the perfect time in my life - their music got me through so much.
Back in 2005 I was 15 years old, I was in a car crash, the passenger side was completely caved in. I was staring up at the lights inside of the hospital completely in disbelief and in shock. The nurse guy kept asking me if I was on drugs(I was not even though I do condone partying safely) I couldn't believe what just had happened. I was hit by a drunk driver crossing the red light. I told my best friend, "WTF! Manny WTF!" that was the last thing that I remember shouting at the top of my lungs. Then, the f-150 truck lifted and busted a kickflip and a half(yes, just like that) and landed upside down and dragged for 20 ft. upside down, sparks flying everywhere like a Harrison Ford movie and the three of us managed to exit the truck while it landed upside down completely unharmed. My friend's sister was in the backseat of a tiny f-150 truck, I was sitting on the passenger side... he did not see the drunk driver flying at 140 mph towards us.... all I remember was screams just like this show and complete anger and disbelief(just like this show) the only thing that kept me pushing without succumbing to beating the life out of the drunk driver that hit us was this song. This song, "Cross out the eyes" kept playing in my head over and over again in my head as well as a little bit of "Understanding in a car crash" throughout the whole ordeal and the time I spent at the hospital that night. I wouldn't be here typing down this comment if it weren't for seatbelts...I received a 5k settlement once I turned 18 and lived with the thought of regret if I never listened to Thursday's music and for that, I thank you, Thursday and everyone at hate5six. I don't know where I would be without you all. I really don't. Thank you once again.

Never understood why they hate Wind Up? I fucking love that song and they went hard with it here. Fuck Full Collapse changed me as a person. Some albums really mold who and what you are and are to become.
IDK what else to say except sorry, not sorry, Thursday is way better lyrically and musically than Texas is the Reason. (Geoff I know you like “Texas is the Reason” and Norman is in your lineup currently, but…) Thursday is much more lyrically and musically arranged than Texas is the Reason. Never heard of the band except that they obviously take their name from the OG Misfits’ song “Bullet”. No hate, just simply stating Thursday has held my gaze (and ear) for the past 20 years. Just saying! 🤗
@Hate5six thanks for posting and it sounds like I’m there these Guys are a lot before my time being that I’m thirty years old right now but thank you @hate5six hate5six
Okkk, so great performance overall, but I gotta say, after seeing these guys over 5 times in the past over the years since early days (one of my favourite bands, truly) - they really let it down on the vocal front. To quote Geoff, I really loved the music and the vocals of this band all the time in the early 2000's, but there was no constant lyrics for screaming/singing on this live scream/singing. It felt kinda lazy and what you'd expect from a band who are sadly relying on audience participation. Look guys, we all get older, if you can't do it, then find ways to make it happen. There were whole vocal lines from the record(s) that weren't present - there are ways to make this happen in real life. Other than that, great little trip down post-hardcore memory lane. Much love for giving it your all anyways x (Also one of the most detrimental things is Hole in the World Live has no live piano - absolute blasphemy haha)

Never understood why they hate Wind Up? I fucking love that song and they went hard with it here.
Fuck Full Collapse changed me as a person. Some albums really mold who and what you are and are to become.
Was not expecting to see Thursday in this channel. Love it though, thanks for all the amazing uploads.
There's at least one other set.
@@chris_822 try a few haha
I like the fact that Geoff wearing Orchid's tees. Remind me of The United Nations :)
“I will never sleep again
I will never even close my eyes”
The most kino post-hardcore/emo band ever. One of the best albums also
perfect album imo
Real important band for me back around 2001-2003
A band you'll want to see again.
Great setlist, too.
Saw these dudes like 20 years ago with heavy heavy low low.. such a good fucking show
11:38 brother having the time of his life
I’m listening to this in my barn in rural Texas. So great to hear this album played. I would love to be there!
My kids know how to get rowdy when these songs come on!
that ORCHID shirt. Hell ya.
Dead on
the orchid shirt 💯💯💯
skramz gang
Damn this is the best performance I've seen. Killed it.
Unbelievable band. One of the prides of NJ

Chego a emocionar escutando o som desses caras
This is fucking crazy. I love you Thursday. You've let me have this fucking great experience.

@Hate5six thanks for posting and it sounds like I’m there these Guys are a lot before my time being that I’m thirty years old right now but thank you @hate5six hate5six
Thursday helped pave the way. Stoked to see them still rockin out.
The sound is on point as per usual.
For some reason Geoff here looks like what a fusion of Tony Hawk and Rodney Mullen would look like.
When did Geoff's screamed vocals get so gnarly...sounds like Converge or Zao now haha
los pelos de punto como aquellos tiempos
Thursday on Hate 5 x 6. Thank you
El full collapse cambió mi vida 🖤
EXELENTE GIGS!! SALUDOS DESDE MAR DEL PLATA, ARGENTINA!! VENGAN A SUDAMERIKA....
I love how huge Tim's bass sounds like fuck yes.
They sound great holy hell. And cool to see jet black new year played !
Best I've heard Tucker Play this album.
Waking up to this was beautiful (:
Much love for giving it your all anyways x
(Also one of the most detrimental things is Hole in the World Live has no live piano - absolute blasphemy haha)
Seeing them in San Antonio was such a vibe
