Now that the episode is finally out, I can share that episode 2 is in production!! We’re really trying to speed up and figure out how to work on these more efficiently, so keep a look out! (Series Description!)
Tourmaline often finds she can’t be around others, keeping to herself and limiting her interactions. Can Calcite and Jade bring Tourmaline out of her shell? Who is in the bubble, and why does tourmaline want to keep it a secret? Let’s see if Tourmaline can fix this divide with her friends!

I take it her friend was corrupted so they had to bubble her and now she's scared of getting attached to her other friends out of fear of losing them too? Or am I completely wrong? Sorry
That sounds like it could happen. If you think about it could explain why
in the beginning of the pilot, Tourmaline notices a corrupted gem and tries to grab it only to apparently see something that disturbs her and cries(??) but ended up being a dream. Not to mention that in the theme song lyrics there's a line that says "Even so I'll try my best to let her go" meaning that she use to have someone that holds her heart dearly but because she lost that person to ended up being corrupted, that gave Tourmaline trauma from it which also explain why she's introverted I guess :/
The Line could also mean that the gem was shattered and the gemstone we See in the bubble isn't the füll gemstone

Another hint for that is the series is called “Division” and in the theme song, Tourmaline(idk if it’s tourmaline who sung the theme song) repeatedly says “fix this divide”.
If you saw one of the lines in one of the two trailers tarmilines voice says “She’s just an aimless creature” and in the intro a line says something along the lines of , I have to let her go, so I think that’s 9/10 possible

Okay so one thing I simply must commend you guys on is the way you introduce the characters. Not once is anything just told to us, rather it is elegently shown to us. The depressed Tourmaline who has a tendency to get upset quickly and push people away, but still cares.
The energetic Jade, who is a bit of an idiot and can really understand subtext
And the calm Calcite who tried her best to keep everyone under tabs, but she does drink abit behind their backs to keep sane.
Tourmaline is our depressed anxious emotionally tormented baby and we love her

This was such a great episode you really inspired me so much. We had a lot of Steven universe this year and it’s great that Division was apart of it. You worked so hard to do this and I look forward to what comes next
The one and only well it didn’t seem a lot but the story and characters developed a lot like the season 5 finale and the movie and the new series doesn’t that seem like a lot?
The total minutes are most likely more thanks to the movie and the episodes coming out frequently

Ok yes this episode was absolutely amazing with not a big punch first but showing what this show will be about in not a complex way. A big well done to the voices and animators and scriptors and I can wait to watch all the episodes well done guys!!!

I think she might be an off color Indicolite who changes colors depending on her emotions.
I want to assume blue is the natural hue, but that does seem like a key character trait, constant sadness.

This is a really good series btw i really heccin enjoyed it
This is fantastic. The song at the end caught me off-guard, I genuinely did not expect to hear self-written lyrics but it was a lovely surprise. Art is very polished as well, a few more in-between frames and it would look much smoother. Also, more emotion should be put in the voice acting.
But all in all, great work. I'll make sure to follow this project!

I like how interesting and also different calcite, jade and tourmaline are. Even if you dont fully know them, i think this whole episode makes them unique and especially likeable.

I love the the two gems on Jade's shoulders are different! Even if just a little where one is facing more up and the other is cut differently, and it's consistent too, it's so good! And it really shows that Jade is a person themselves, but also very much two people in a literal sense!
I literally exploded with emotions while watching this, i laughed, i cried, i boiled with happines when i saw Tourmaline change to yellow and i just felt her annoyance with Jade. I love this, you pictured everything so well, and i just cant stop thinking about how good this is and you even put songs into this!!! I cant stop but scream aloud right now.

THEORY TIME:
Tourmaline used to be more open about her feelings. Eventually, she met a blue gem who she connected with. They fused and felt very nice and decided to fuse more often. Eventually this other gem showed their true colors and Tourmaline found herself in an abusive relationship. I can imagine the other gem being the Jasper and Tourmaline being the Lapis. She had no choice but to fight the gem and eventually poof it. I'd like to think Tourmaline's weapon is either a sword that's the color of her skin with the handle being the color of her hair, or a rejuvenator-like weapon that's the same color as the sword's possible color. But instead of it rejuvenating a gem, it poofs it. Tourmaline bubbles it and starts to keep to herself more often. She then meets Jade and Calcite, but she can't really consider them friends as she barely knows them as she keeps to herself far too much. The bubbled gem still haunts her but she ignores it.

How did i not stumble upon this channel till now? I immediatly fell in love with the story, and characters. The song in the end was so beautiful, and i honestly wish i could listen to it somewhere, at some parts the instrumental did feel a little too loud and drowning the vocals, but it got better and i still love it.
I wish i could really support it by money or smth, but unfortunetaly i'm unable to.
I can't wait to see more, learn more about these characters and their backstory, not to mention i loved how chill Lily was with the gems oml- i actually wanna see her more.

I have some notes if you wanna read them, it´s just stuff.
The writing could use some work, some dialogues are awkward. The hums are a bit excessive at the beginning, silence can work better like in the chess game part where Jade only made faces instead of sounds or maybe instead of those sounds you could try to make samples of background noices, like when Tourmaline grabs the cloak or the steps.
I like the singing, the voice actress has a very nice voice, I didn´t understand the lyrics though. I dont know what the song means or why is it sad at all.
Pay extra attention to the pronunciation of the dialogues, some came out mumbles.
This is workable, your team and you got this! This is super HUGE to make and to be discovered, specially in a place like RUclips. There´s lots of passion in this, don´t get discourage!

I must say that I REALLY loved this!! The character design and the animation is so simple and perfect! Really loved the song, I also cried with Jade at the end hehe Good Job!! Hope we can get to see Episode 2 ^^♡
This is so good! Wow, if it was fully animated id think it was an official SU spinoff. The writing and characters are great and all the work put into this really shows.
JADE IS THE TALLEST AND PUREST STRING BEAN IN THE SAVANNAH!! But in all honesty, this is a good start for a new SU fanshow! Amazing job!

I’m gonna be straight with ya I love the fact that you and everyone else that is apart of the team is doing this as I love the art, the colour, and the suiting voices for the characters, even how they act I’m not gonna continue watching probably unless I remember but I’m just one less guy, all my support is to you though, even the original gems a personality’s of them work so well and I just love them even if they haven’t had enough characterization, I know I am in no place to suggest anything and I hope that’s fine but just a small thing that I see many shows do even though it works out most of the time, to much attention to the main character as the main three will get most of the time but every once in a while episodes should give attention to the sides more than the main you know, like if this Lilly character is a side character just give them the spot light doing something with say Jade (as they already have a bit of a liking to each other) hell the song gives a good taste of what you guys have to offer but hey it seems like you guys can stick with what your doing a make it better good luck, you get my full support and sub
