I came up with an episode idea for Steven universe So my friend sent them my idea and they loved it so much so that they told him that they would find a way to put into the series unfortunately that's when Steven universe got its budget cut and they couldn't do it so instead they took a piece of my idea I put it in the Steven universe movie Steven and Greg's fusion I didn't come up with drawings for it I just knew it had to be a younger version of Greg with a bit of Steven flair thrown in I said I would leave the design up to the directors and the directors did not fail
My concept for an Adventure for this new Steven Universe story is Connie dying, and the diamonds bringing her back to life with a combo of Steven tears and installing a blank gem onto her, making another Gem Hybrid. She'd have lion powers, and the immortality of a gem, as well as weapon creation, bubbling and more...I want them to explore Connie learning how to regrasp her Humanity as she's now a Demi-God, specifically a new Diamond...
It’s kind of funny that Rebecca Sugar is trying to drum up interest for the show, cause I feel like the interest for the show never really died down in the first place. Yeah, there are people who don’t like the show, but 8 out of 10 people who like the show love it to the point where it’s kinda part of who they are
The fact that I’m getting this while rewatching Steven universe since all episodes are now on Hulu/Disney+ Edit:thanks for making be top comment for the first time and I’m referring too the Disney Hulu bundle
What was left hanging? Steven seems to be healing from his trauma. Connie is going out in the world . Garnet, pearl and amethyst have had thier development arcs. People of beach city have also changed. There can't be any threats in the galaxy anymore.
I think a great way to ground test Steven on Prime, strictly speaking from the perspective of the numbers, would be to drop a season of the original show at a time over the span of a half a year or so, with the movie and Future debuting together in the final month of the test. And if it gathers enough momentum, then that would be a shining signal that there's enough demand to constitute a revival. Plus, if demand runs high enough early enough in the test, it would give the revisit more time to cook.
I was once checking Amazon if they had steven universe since it said on Google that it was on there & it was!! Just that all the episodes were out of order & jail break being at the beginning of season 2 & the series being listed as having 6 seasons for some reason
@@HORIZON00236 I'm kind of hoping for something similar. Back when SU first started and we just learned about the Kindergarten I had a theory that the Homeworld was amassing an army to fight off an invasion from a much larger threat. I'm hoping that would be the case here.
I trust in Prime, they hold good shows like Invencible and Hazbin Hotel. In recent days, i turn obssesed with "Pete the Cat". Is a treasure if we talk about animation for children and rock Music (every episode have a song, and every song is a different rock song in múltiple genre's) its cool to find TV show for children teaching about music.
The idea of Steven Universe becoming more for young adults on Prime sounds awesome! Prime really is doing animation justice. I know this might be a pipe dream, but after the greatness that is Shadow the Hedgehog Dark Beginnings, I hope that one day Sega and Prime decide to create a Shadow the Hedgehog animated series that is for young adults. That… would be infinitely glorious. For now, a man can dream.
Imagine a more mature Steven Universe plot, where things like gem corruption, remote/forgotten gem colonies that never got to see the end of the empire, identity crisis, purpose loss, and stuff like that get explored in a darker and agonizing way (many gems were acting according to what they perceive as their purpose, their identity, now that all was DRASTICALLY CHANGED, what is left for them?). I feel like the OG Steven Universe aimed a lot for the universe scale, but now that all universe is somewhat in peace, it would be a good moment to step back and focus the scale more on the remaining of the destruction caused by the empire, like... you can have seasons/arcs dedicated to a specific subject. I hope that, if there IS an antagonist like the many that OG Steven used to have, it is well developed and not just a "I want to kill Steven cuz he abomination/pink diamond/rose quartz". If you want to tie back to how Steven is kinda the main character, the show's name, you can use him as a questioning: "An entire civilization ruled by strong, irrefutable leaders was changed by the perspective of someone who, even if very empathic, was not mature enough to manage a burden so gigantic, and probably never will be. Not alone." Future showed us how the Diamonds are trying to see the world to their interpretation of Steven's vision. IMO, although this works for someone like Blue in a way, it is very hard for more closed minded individuals like White and Yellow to change without pretending and forcing themselves to engage in this type of activity. This MAKES the leaders dysfunctional, and as a consequence, the former empire, now civilization WILL have a lot of holes, specially in the near future. As time passes, it is probable that things will naturally stabilize, gems will find their place, and maybe, just maybe will have another "Lars" situation (organic, sentient beings traveling across the stars and interacting with other lifeforms).
I think Prime is the only streaming service for a SU revival series to go considering how Netflix and Max have been treating it's shows lately. And considering that Cartoon Network is slowly fading in obscurity currently (at least in opinion) this might be their chance to at least try and turn things around when it comes to bringing back old shows aside from Checkered Past. It would be interesting to see what this show would be like given Prime's current style of formatting seasons.
Who would have thought Prime would evolve to become the champion for animation lovers? I sincerely hope they keep this going. Animated shows are often brushed off by networks if they're for adult audiences, and shows made for kids or placed on networks geared toward younger audiences are tightly restricted for censorship, and don't get to flourish as they would without restraint. I am truly clinging on to hope beyond that Prime's impressive success with animated shows like Vox Machina, Hazbin Hotel, Invincible, etc. will keep this boom rolling and open doors to even more animated content without restriction on creativity due to censorship issues.
The diamonds weren't made by anyone. They burst out of the ground just like any other gem, they were all born at the same time and they're the reason homeworld is broken. It's in one of the books, search about it.
@@hiro-xk8kmits still open ended about them being artificial creations. plus everything about gems points to them being specifically designed that way, they act more like computers/machines than naturally occurring species
Amazon's entertainment division seems to be putting more faith into its creators after seeing some of their most success in shows where they didn't have much creative control. After successes like Fallout, it doesn't surprise me if they're looking for shows to add in favor of fan service, knowing just how much doing so benefitted them already. Additionally, with Prime they already have trust that cartoons can be more mature. While I don't see them making the show as adult as, say, Invincible, I can see them wanting to push boundaries of what can be allowed in a show like Steven Universe, with what themes already existed. Additionally, if they go in the direction of making the show more adult to match the ages of the main characters, I'd like to see what direction they take it. However, my biggest concern with continuing the show is what remains in terms of conflict and progression...
Prime is also reviving my hope in shows getting to tell their entire story without being cut early or forced to go on until they lose their charm. Especially with shows like the Boys being allowed to gracefully bow out when they finish the story they’re telling next season.
@@Wubster649 I mean there are plenty of shows like that NOT stuck with their pov. Like Naruto. It actually has a rich cast of characters and shows them off. So your argument falls there
@@FinestFantasyVI well, about that... If you strip the whole series of all the "fillers" and redundancies, a lot of what's left would actually be pretty focused on Naruto. So, I think most of what you said is due to arcs-worth of backstory or (recontextualizing) flashbacks; some might even argue that certain episodes that are primarily about the supporting cast (and no Naruto in it) could count as filler.

Then the controversy will be why didn't she just make a new show than making a kids show too mature. Shows like invincible and hazbin already have stated not for kids. That's not the case for Steven universe.

This is great and I'm dying to see that but I would also like to know if this same thing exists for The Owl House. Of course I know that series doesn't have the privilege of being on a proper service like Amazon Prime but seriously that would be great to hear.
i didn't know about it, but i think dropping the first three episodes at once and *then* doing weekly is cool and Really smart. the "three episode test" is something that comes up in anime a lot with regards to determining whether someone is going to continue to spend their time on a show or drop it, and it's certainly not a 100% accurate thing (darling in the franxx comes to mind, lol) but it actually is a pretty good test to see if you're going to be into that anime's season tbh. that tells me amazon didn't just choose to make some shows weekly, they also looked into spaces where people talk about watching cartoons in a serious manner and researched the best way to go about it based on how we prefer to consume that content. far be it from me to praise amazon overall as a company, but that is actually amazing.
For the last 90 days i feel like a SU vibe is vibing once again with a lot of people that knew there is so much story to tell with the worldbuilding the crewniverse made, im happy that the hope for revival is rising.
Whatever happens they need to give us a garnet, Steven, and pearl fusion. They completely robbed us in "A Very Special Episode". I was SOOO HYPE FOR IT just for it to be a talk no jutsu.
Vivienne Medrano is my hero, I want to be just like her when I grow up, + I just met her at New York comicon and she was so nice and phenomenal, I had a Helluva time
I will never be able to truly experience Steven universe the way I did the first time because every time I finished a new episode I immediately watch the round table / cartoon universe / and others analysis and theory videos it was truly a wonderful experience
I dont mind shows moving around, but some of those services are not available in other countries, with companies frowning on the use of VPNs we are heading back to an era where people will choose to sail the seas, out of availability.
The fact of the matter is, Max has failed as a streaming service for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. While most streaming services advertise the properties they own as selling points as to why you should subscribe, Max would rather lease out their animation properties and advertise properties that are guaranteed to make money (i.e. House of the Dragon).
Amazon Prime is definitely down to make more shows. Recently, they picked up Tui Sutherland's Wings of Fire Books to turn it into a TV series. (Honestly, would really love seeing people's reaction to the series when it comes out)

love the NiGHTS music hidden in the background there
Be honest you went to this because of the thumbnail of a another male gem and steven being like im not the only one
For the last 90 days i feel like a SU vibe is vibing once again with a lot of people that knew there is so much story to tell with the worldbuilding the crewniverse made, im happy that the hope for revival is rising.
you have no idea how happy this video made me
Just wondering if you guys would do a deep dive into Gerald Robotnik’s journal that was shown in Sonic x Shadow Generations about each entry
Whatever happens they need to give us a garnet, Steven, and pearl fusion. They completely robbed us in "A Very Special Episode". I was SOOO HYPE FOR IT just for it to be a talk no jutsu.
Goddamn, how long has it been since I watched this channel? Your voice DROPPED O_O
I NEED TO SEE HOW THE DIAMONDS ARE BORN!!!
3:18 in europe, distant lands aired on cartoon network. i'm from the uk an remember a promo for it, but i never got to watch it.
"Weekly releases are elite." *AMEN!*
Hopefully we will see Morganite this time
Vivienne Medrano is my hero, I want to be just like her when I grow up, + I just met her at New York comicon and she was so nice and phenomenal, I had a Helluva time
You meet Vivzie? Nice!
I will never be able to truly experience Steven universe the way I did the first time because every time I finished a new episode I immediately watch the round table / cartoon universe / and others analysis and theory videos it was truly a wonderful experience
I'm looking forward for a new Steven Universe series!
Give me a canon diamond fusion!!
Steven will never die
You know you make quite a good case for it!
Thank you for mentioning Fairfax!! I LOVE that show! So sad it's canceled. Hiroki Hassan is an ICON!!!!
Imagine what would happen if the stuff the diamonds used to make gems was used to revive fossils
Just as i was rewatching it!!!!!
Going insane, literally couldn’t be more happy
I fuck with the astrobot background
I dont mind shows moving around, but some of those services are not available in other countries, with companies frowning on the use of VPNs we are heading back to an era where people will choose to sail the seas, out of availability.
The fact of the matter is, Max has failed as a streaming service for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim. While most streaming services advertise the properties they own as selling points as to why you should subscribe, Max would rather lease out their animation properties and advertise properties that are guaranteed to make money (i.e. House of the Dragon).
I would love to get another look at this Universe
Amazon Prime is definitely down to make more shows. Recently, they picked up Tui Sutherland's Wings of Fire Books to turn it into a TV series. (Honestly, would really love seeing people's reaction to the series when it comes out)
