Beautiful, rupert.. you have a wonderful mix of sweetness and love combined with a flawless presentation of non duality and the pain involved in the process. A rare combination in the spiritual marketplace these days..

Yes...the growing attraction of the mind for "not two." Simplicity of this teaching...!

I love it and can see all of this happening in me, now - just as Rupert said. I see the two directions like a dance of two, awkward at first, but really fun. The tides of my attention-awareness come in and then out, and I enjoy it.

When we realize that the tension in our attention is causing suffering we seem to remember that there's really no-thing to attend to, but as you said several years ago -'our attention is like a ship whose engine is turned off while at sea. It doesn't come to a full stop at once" or even using Ramana's analogy of the fan after the electicity is turned off...Thanks for posting...I A(nama rupa)M !!!

The true nature of mind is empty like space... there is no-thing there to be found. When the ego self realizes this it becomes afraid and looks for objects to attach itself to.

@@marthajohelson59 Source is where everything begins. Pay attention to where your thoughts begin. (= source)
Than you notice that they start and take you away from your source outside in the thinking mind. You lose your attention in the objects of the world and want to find happiness there. But the only Peace and happiness is : not wanting something out there! Peace is already before wanting peace 😊 In the source of your thinking is allready all quiet. 🌹

No disrespect Mr. Spira. But your choice of words is sometimes priceless. For example "the mind falls in love with its *SAUCE* (source)." They sound the same in the video / audio clip. I can very well imagine the body - mind falling in love with some particular sauce. In my case it's chocolate. A substance to be sure.
