It is good to hear Rupert's confession of paternal fury over his son's inappropriate behaviour and how Rupert over-stepped the mark (i.e "sinned") and experienced the "intolerable" pain of that transgression until he put things right again some days later. This is important for folks to know that "realised" souls can also behave egoically and sometimes with utterly tragic consequences. Rupert seems to think that there are behaviors in certain circumstances that warrant an angry response. As Byron Katie would say when investigation this thought... is that true?
The lady asked a very good question. I've been asking the same question for years. It totally makes sense that God is existence but accepting that evil is another face of God is very difficult. Especially, if you have some religious background and your ideas about God has shaped differently.
In what way would evil be another 'face' of God with the notion of God= Existence and Existence= God? Because of the essence/ energies distinction of God, you can still rationally escape God having an evil 'face'. I totally get where you got it from, though. Because, if we say God= Existence and Existence= God, then that means that everything that exists is contained in God, since God would be Existence. However, if you take a weak panentheistic view of God, there is a distinction between the essence of God ( i.e. God Himself), and His energies (for example, his Words of Information by which He speaks the universe into existence). Since the universe exists, and in it is contained evil, that would not mean God would be evil as well. That is because God and the universe are connected through His Energies, Words, etc.
Rupert says in another video that all objects (stones, trees, animals, etc.) are an "I Am" = God reduced into finite form of stone, tree, animal, etc. => So, according to Rupert, we can conclude that the bacterium Borrelia, which is a spirochete bacterium that causes Lyme disease (a torturous and long-lasting disease that destroys the social, mental and material life of the infected person bitten by a tick), before being qualified as a destructive bacterium, it is in its essence an "I Am "= a "isness" which is God's being, and this manifestation of God in a finite form of microscopic and toxic spirochete bacteria is cleverly programmed to attack and relentlessly destroy another finite form of the same "I am", but manifested as an conscious, intelligent, spiritual, rational, sentimental man, which is the culminating work on earth of the same Conscious Being "I Am". These aberrant "philosophical" speculations are the result of blindly following religious doctrines, whether they are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc. The reality is that no one knows who and what God is. To say that He is Being, Consciousness, and we are one with Him would mean that we know from birth, as a pre-programmed instinct, who we are, what mitochondria or DNA is and how it works, and so on. But the Hindu religion, like other religions, has found "excuses": God sleeps through us and dreams until he / we wake up and become aware and enlightened. Let us ask the great and enlightened gurus who have attained Cosmic Consciousness how many planets the solar system has or how a covid vaccine is made through genetic engineering which is in fact God's engineering. I sincerely appreciate awakened people like Mr. Rupert Spira and others, but I agree with them to the point where a "prostitution" of reason begins to appear just to agree with a religious-spiritual-philosophical doctrine that anesthetizes the reason.

Hmm the word “regret” implies that there is guilt. It’s the ego trying to make us feel bad. We can go too far, say, or do things and then we become aware of them, but there is no need for guilt or regret. In fact these situations can be appreciated as happening for us so that we can further evolve and deepen our spirituality. Clearly his ego was too strong in regards to his relationship with his son. We don’t own our kids and when we respond with understanding rather than fury we are more likely to positively impact them. It seems Rupert needed to see this. We just need awareness that the mind body had fear. Fear can arise unexpectedly and even seasoned practitioners, like Rupert, can have residual fear that remains in the body. In awareness we realize we would say or do things differently, but we aren’t harsh on ourselves for days. We can be with anger and not become it when we keep practicing. Becoming furious is being too attached to what happens in the world of form. We can be with anger and watch it arise, but when we resist something so strongly that we “become furious” then it means we need to examine our strong resistance let it rise up and then let go of attachment which is causing our suffering. This incident happened as a wonderful lesson that there are lots of layers to the self that keep us attached to the world of form. For most people children tend to be the catalyst for our deepest awakening because they shine a light on our strongest attachments, so we can finally release them.

Whenever I start to listen to Rupert I feel very irritated....I feel like smacking him...then after a minute the irritation changes to presence and feels good. I ask myself what is causing this irritation? I wondered if it's because underneath Rupert's serene demeanour there is a lot of controlled anger and irritation and I'm picking up on this. Possibly! What I am aware of though is that Rupert is a very aware man and radiates the Presence of Being and I resonate to this and this Presence pushes against my conditioned self and this creates irritation. My ego is 'saying' to Being, "Stop! You are slaying me!" and fights and resists and this is felt as anger and irritation. After a minute I let go and am Being and my energy radiates and the feeling of irritation is replaced by the pleasure of the presence of Being.
The anger you seem to be picking up on is definitely your own. The light of Truth is just reflecting it back to you. I have been watching and reading comments on his videos for years and I have never remotely had a thought or feeling like that, I've never read anyone who did either.
Rene Sonse Yes, it probably is my own anger. I love listening to Rupert's talks, interestingly, I'd forgotten about my anger reactions and as soon as he opened his mouth I felt like slapping him. Maybe it's the closely miced glottal sounds that get under my skin. Luckily I can transcend my reactions and listen to the essential message rather than the delivery, Incidentally, when someone is causing that level of specific irritation, they are being TERVER ( uncertain of spelling....could be T'va). The phenomenon which encompasses the one doing it and the one reacting to it, the experience of the irritation and the actions and even personality of the tuvva person is called Tvoovahtvoomtah.
I know these feelings, king ego is barking like a wounded animal, it is afraid and knows it is dying, at the same time your conscious feels itself and wants to be free. You will win this fight because you already did. Ego was just an illusion in this game of life
Correct, and if there is anything beyond consciousness, that also. Some say show me God now! to them say, look at the sparkle in your parents and children's eyes. Feel it in your heart, the Divine is there.
Here's The current conundrum in my mind: Is Pure Existence the "Field" into which things are entered, or is it The State Of Being of all things that exist?.. or is it BOTH??...Currently i feel that Pure Existence is likened to an all encompassing, all facilitatory Field, whereas Existence is what occurs WITHIN this "Field"....
I think you could say everything that exists is a modulation or expression of pure consciousness or being. As a simple analogy you could take a piece of paper (pure being) and fold it several times. The single piece of paper will form different shapes (expression) and its texture will change but it remains paper.
was Rupert suffering over the the regretted comment to his son? why did he wait 4 days to remedy his own suffering? hmmmm isnt "tiny" suffering no different than big suffering? was it intolerable for 4 or 5 days?? i understand noticing the tiny feelings of separation, but i am confused why he would allow it to fester for 4-5 days???
No, and yes. Universally speaking - no. The true meaning of Is, extending to "Isness" is the 'Essence'. Is= Being/Existence. Context, as with all words, for various circumstances and communicating in relation to the given context, but epistemologically.. There is one "meaning". But even that falls apart, ultimately. "nothing" has inherent "meaning".
Would it be that existence is emptiness and emptiness is awareness? The emptiness or space in my body and the space outside my body is infinite awareness hence why I am aware of I am?
There are no subjects or objects. A dream can have you sweating or fearful or aghast…till you wake up and see that it’s a dream. Then you wipe your brow and say “Whew!”
God is substantially present in all that is. Without God’s substantial presence, all would dissolve into the nothingness from which it arises. However, God is not supernaturally present in all human beings. For example, although God was substantially present in both Jesus Christ and Hitler, God was not supernaturally present in Hitler as He was in Jesus Christ. However, through God’s gift of grace, all can repent, amend their lives, change direction, and then God will be both substantially and supernaturally present in them. It is God’s supernatural presence that is life eternal.
Nirguna Brahman is Existence/Consciousness/Bliss - Sacchitananda Nirguna Brahman does not "exist" - Brahman IS Existence Nirguna Brahman is not "conscious" - Brahman IS Consciousness Nirguna Brahman is not "blissful" - Brahman IS Bliss
Existence is existence. You can call it God or Vanilla Ice Cream if you wish or if it makes you feel better for some unknown or vague reason. Existence is not shared by anything or anyone, it is that very anyone or anything. It cannot be pure or impure either. Pure from what? Impure by something other than that which exists?
Try an experiment. And i am not promoting "Jesus" or any religious sentiment. Just to see what happens replace the words "existence" or more often used by rupert "awareness" with the word Jesus. Just try it-----wow huh? Sounds like those folks at the door? Awareness is all there is--always come back to awareness--seek to be in "awareness" always. Now--jesus is all there is--come home to the "lord"..etc. Get the idea?
Probably the reason is because it causes duality. Someone calling into a radio program said she calls Awareness by the name "Jehovah", and the guest speaker said it wouldn't matter if she called it "Ethel", as soon as you name something, there's two.
Sorry Donn, I didn't experience a "wow". The words awareness or existence are clearly shared by everyone. Whereas Jesus is a name of a particular person, an outside object with different degrees of importance and baggage in peoples minds. Using something so very finite and loaded with dogma to explain the infinite seems unnecessary confusion, IMO. Perhaps I just misunderstood what you were attempting to convey.
Jesus brings concepts, awareness as a term signifies the OBSERVER of all Concepts. Awareness brings the sense of *I* whereas "Jesus" simply doesn't ...no matter how hard you try...

Ego was just an illusion in this game of life
Form is emptiness. Emptiness is form.
WOW! Thank you!
Muto muito bom ! Fantástico !
If I think an evil thought it is not God's thought it is my Ego.
:D :D i would have a reeeaaallyyy tough time NOT laughing out loud in Rupert's retreats.... just love his eloquence and yet the humour in them
It takes existent constant for a temporary subsequent to be existing in.
But according to him, then God would be infinite therefore he can't see finite therefore all is allowed without God knowing.
Infinite includes the finite because it includes everything. Nothing is excluded. It becomes localized in each if us to experience finite as us.
In other words, "God" is consciousness.
Correct, and if there is anything beyond consciousness, that also. Some say show me God now!
to them say, look at the sparkle in your parents and children's eyes. Feel it in your heart, the Divine is there.
Brian Linville I've never heard Ruperts opinion on the bible, I wonder what he thinks about the teachings of Christ.

Nothing has entered, it is all Existence Consciousness Bliss. There are no "things". Hihi
it is still a lovely concept, almost like a "metaphor" :) Usefull, and not, both.
was Rupert suffering over the the regretted comment to his son? why did he wait 4 days to remedy his own suffering? hmmmm isnt "tiny" suffering no different than big suffering? was it intolerable for 4 or 5 days?? i understand noticing the tiny feelings of separation, but i am confused why he would allow it to fester for 4-5 days???
what are you talking about?
It’s not the elephants that get you, it’s the mice.
Truth test - where is it in silence ? Dreams be just dreams..
. . . depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is . . .
No, and yes.
Universally speaking - no.
The true meaning of Is, extending to "Isness" is the 'Essence'.
Is= Being/Existence.
Context, as with all words, for various circumstances and communicating in relation to the given context, but epistemologically.. There is one "meaning". But even that falls apart, ultimately. "nothing" has inherent "meaning".
Pretty sure the first audience member speaking was speaking with mooji as well. Sounds similar.
Beautiful. Love Moo and Rup, and Thee
But doesn’t he also say that we don’t exist because the Greek for of existence means to be separate from? Ex istere?

Nirguna Brahman is not "conscious" - Brahman IS Consciousness

He should teach how to make wealth! I need money!
Go teach non duality
Existence is existence. You can call it God or Vanilla Ice Cream if you wish or if it makes you feel better for some unknown or vague reason. Existence is not shared by anything or anyone, it is that very anyone or anything. It cannot be pure or impure either. Pure from what? Impure by something other than that which exists?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 "Vanilla Ice Cream"
So ouch of my ego now.
@@doriesse824 There is never two. Only One, always, beyond always.
But I see what you meant, on that plane/dimension of using language and talking about what you were talking about
@@jamesthomas1244 E xactly.
And yet, the "Bhakta" "in" "me" cannot help but to aaaalso just love, bow to and be surrended to Him/That/Her/NoWordsForIt.
It is "both", and "none". hihi
...got existentiel uneasy isness, now what?

Ok, and I agree with existence as existing, being real or even one can call it god whatsoever
still, then one can ask what existence is like "what is it what we all share"
it is rather the sharing or the unity
Reality is a separated unity, relatively absolute and absolutely relative
is or being also means being "defined"
things are what they are
it is their information/ their configuration relative to others what makes them to what they are
mr. spira.....your theory is incomplete.... this woman who asked about god in the rapist... is right... it is as it is.... or.... we decide what we do..... that is the opposite of that what you are saying
The child molester and the molested one are both crucial to the spiritual journey. They represent the archetypes Judas and Jesus.
Adversity and delight both contribute to the spiritual journey.
The face of god is the presence of the divine in existence.
I don`t buy that at all. A paedophile violates a childs spirit/ soul and dignity, therefore they are working against God and are also abusing God`s child.
@@damian-795 Religion is a child molester. It has perverted your understanding, your ability to perceive truth.
Jesus states very clearly ...
Forgive them, for they know not what they do.
Forgive seventy times seven.
I desire compassion over sacrifice.
Look in the mirror before looking out your window.
Everything is, but the more we narrow down the isness or god into something smal, the more ugly it gets.

What a load of nonsense? He's trying to make people think there is something profound in claiming that existence is shared by everything! No shit! By definition everything exists, and what's with the low voice and forced pauses? This guy is putting on an act
bla bla bla...much ado about nothing...boring conversation from one of the proponents of the hope industry. Death is all there is.
Perhaps you should start your own teaching. You could name it: The Smell of Death, or How To Shit In The Punch Bowl. Look at it this way: you should be burning candles to people like Rupert who seem to give you reason to exist and troll. Without them, what would you be billyboy?
Same as you James who need whispers of doubt in your ear to burn candles to Rupert and make him rich through simple hope and wishy washy ideologies. If a reason to exist is what you need then you're in deep trouble cause you already do. And as far as those titles you mentioned, rest assured that people would pay to see it because they are so naive...people think they need something to believe in..nothing could be further from the truth.
haha, the hope industry! It is actually the death-industry -one juicy ego at a time!
@@billyboy7465 There is no ideology here. He points to That which is beyond ideologies, all concepts, all egoic/personal identification.
Be Here Now, and He/Her/That/You will reveal Itself unto Itself, by Itself, by just Being It/Yourself.
You are welcome. You will be forever free, if you genuinely contemplate these words.
