Big fan of Rupert and his teachings. Although what he says about in indian culture , that it’s being taught to disgust the body and the world, is actually opposite of being a witness or ‘Sakshi’. Being witness means you don’t judge or despise anything , it’s the 101 reaching. it gives you a point of view beyond the 4 dimensions . And having a feeling of disgust is a Judgment and a limited point of view. He should not go discarding the very place and teachers he learned everything from, as what they are saying might be part of a bigger plan or next level teaching. Usually gurus say what you need to hear to direct you to the right path. Good analogy is :Use the sword to slay the dragon and then burn the sword to avoid further violence. but I still love and follow his teachings as it will be hard to find some other being with such an amazing clarity.

I liked this video but it frustrated the heck out of me that the last question (Does awareness need an individual mind to know itself?) wasn't followed up by the at least to me obvious question: If awareness does not need an individual mind to know itself, then why did it create all of this - our world and us humans with our minds in the dark, in suffering and feeling separate? It's a bit difficult to try to explain this mystery. The truth is that awareness or emptiness isn't empty it's full but can't be named nor expressed with words. It's fullness has no need or lack of any sort, their is no separation it pure love and oneness. It needs no reason for it's beingness. It just is what it is pure aliveness. The mind which was created by it only can percive and understand forms and concepts. It can't never know the formless because the formless is empty of content. It is pure knowing with out concepts. It's impossible for something to know it. It can only be experienced by it's own direct source. Mind is a construct of awareness it has no reality outside of it, but the mind function is specific to the created universe and world. It can be said that awareness which is essentially you, me and every living thing is all one. Yet awareness for no reason has created the ability to express it's greatness and all possibilities infinately. In truth what is being brought to light is that their is no death only the illusion of death. Life is all their is in truth, yet the dichotomy is that nothing ever happened no one was ever born and no one ever died. It is all apparently an experience but not the truth. The truth can't be known because it's unknowable. Their was never a beginning nor an ending. No thing can know God because he isn't anything. Only itself can be experienced. It's a mind f*#k for the mind only. The awareness in you! That is source. That is you as well. When you realize this and it is seen through then the veil is lifted and it free you from it's illusion of world. Like Jesus said the truth that surpasses all understanding. This truth swallows up death cause in truth death isn't real. It's a sort of experience so ironically the world we call life is death, because nothing last imperminace and all things seem separate yet are not. The illusion of separation created by mind causes suffering. In truth separation is false yet it must be seen thru so that realization and liberation can manifest itself into your life. Awakening to Oneness is love itself and the realization that there is only One of us. It is not possible to love any one form more or less if one is fully awakened. It's all love. This is the issue of an enquiry by only the mind and direct experience. It can’t go beyond the experiencer or awarer, so it’s stops at a false conclusion that awareness is it. Awareness is ignorant of how it came to be. So Rupert might sit smugly in his ocean but it’s not Truth.
I dont sense any type of mastery in this person or any of these so called modern gurus. They dont seem to have suffered at all and have easy lives; that makes it easy to be positive and speak positive words to people which they like and then in turn respect the person based of this but it has nothing to do with true wisdom about overcoming the massive suffering this reality has to offer. In fact they never even mention these negative things in life to any detail as most of them have no experience with them at all. I say 95% of them have no wisdom about suffering physically which is the hardest to overcome as the laws of physics are in place. In fact this guy is a family man i bet if he lost his family or a loved one hed turn to the bottle like many people do. I hate to say it but most of these modern gurus i dont sense any wisdom in their words except being blind optimists that had no answers to the severe problems in life. I could be wrong but thats what i see and i have had a very rough and troubled life in which none of these guys have any answers too. Easy example if your in severe pain of any type like having your wisdom teeth removed you get painkillers cause the pain is too intense; this guy is subject to those laws and does the exact same thing to deal with it he doesnt meditate or have any spiritual powers to heal that tooth or deal with it than our already primitive crappy solution of drugs. Whereas Christ would have healed his tooth as he was a true master. Just like if this guy was mugged or attacked in public by some crazy person hed be just as traumatized as the next guy or subject to the harm caused by it. What miracles has this guy performed? Why does he even have any recognition just like Eckhart Tolle? Or any of them what miracles have they preformed proving their mastery? None

To realise that we are not a separate self. The Body/mind is a activity of consciousness, a concentration of awareness. When you are not happy, not happy then you seek this happiness that is who you are, yet veiled by the conditioning we are born into. We are happy covered over by our human conditioning. Yes, the commercialization of Non-Duality does seem rather incongruous.
But, I must say, I'm SO GLAD he's doing what he's doing. It is very helpful for me and many others. I just wish some fat cat would fund him, so he could do it all for free.

A guy with one eye always appear to be the king amongst the blind. All his teachings are just conceptual. If he had even an iota of true realization, he life would have exploded into wealth and he wouldn't need to resort to such ugly ways of making money. And even if he didn't, that's the last thing you'd expect an enlightened being to do.
