Agatha or Agnes is played by the wonderful Kathryn Hahn.

The “I actually bit a kid once” line is so great b/c the way she delivers it with no context and completely deadpan makes it so not only do we not know the context, we can’t even be sure she’s making it up. For all we know Agatha actually did bite a kid once XD

After watching episode 9, I'm disappointed that agatha hated the whole sitcom world. I wanted to believe that deep down she enjoyed being agnes at least somewhat.
Why would Agatha enjoy pretending to be Agnes when she was disgusted with how Wanda was acting, wanted her to wake up and stop with the charades. It was the entire point of episode 8
she totally got a kick out of it, im 100% sure. wanting wanda to reveal what she is and loving to stir up trouble can and should be able to go hand in hand
I think part of her enjoyed trying to figure it all out. She seems driven by curiosity. and power of course.
She liked it when she had control and was just playing along but not when Wanda took that away
@@toychristopher Honestly I think she insinuated Wanda doesn’t deserve this great power of chaos magic nor is is good that she has it for she’s selfish with it making this fictional world holding people hostage. Imo 1 of the best mcu antagonists because she isn’t evil just dastardly. She even frees some of the citizens and tells Wanda it’s not hero like to allow westview to keep going. To me she’s more of a sassy teacher or mentor and I like that with some violent tendencies like killing sparky or just causing trouble

She would more likely want to stay the hell away from Wanda and not meet the crazy scarlet witch ever again.

@Harper Smith she doesn't fake it, she can manipulate reality so it'll just disappear if she wants to, when she's nervous or angry it might temporarily come back
@Harper Smith I mean, she has been in America for some quite time now, it really would eventually go (for some people) she was fairly maybe young when they cooped her to be an Avenger during Age of Ultron. Back when they were in Sokovia, she had the accent for the entire or majority of the movie
@Harper Smith actually, accents usually resurface when you’re angry, nervous or talking to someone with the same accent. she isn’t faking.
@Harper Smith Black Widow showed her how to hide her accent, that way she could sneak in easier in other places.
And here I didn't realize Wanda was supposed to have an accent (I'm french so unless the accent is very accentuated I can't hear it)

I've actually pictured Dr Strange visiting her in Westview, watching her struggle to kill herself through her nosy neighbor persona but can't because the spell won't let her.

I've been noticing Kathryn since How to lose a guy in 10 days. She usually has a side character but she always stood out to me. Glad she's getting more recognition. Playing Agatha was perfect for her.

3 years later after the hype has died down and everyone saying do we really need Agatha series, i don’t know how but this woman continues to make the character iconic. The chaos her words bring is unparalleled. Can’t say anything about the plot cause spoilers (plus it’s not like we got everything yet) but her series is worth simply for her puns

Really hoping that she shows up in Multiverse of Madness or possibly a Scarlet Witch movie down the road. I never really cared about Wanda before this show (and even when the show was announced I thought it would be stupid/boring), but Marvel really knocked it out of the park! I'm here for Wanda/Agatha relationship development!

Kathyn Hahn really does have some of the best facial expressions. And they feel so authentic, like I feel like she makes them even when she's not acting.

@@Soshii19 Just a guess for now. We will see if anything comes to pass. I like her but they only planned one season of WandaVision to lead to the next Dr. Strange film. No sequel is planned although Fiege said "never say never." For Falcon and the Winter Solider and Loki they do plan a sequel season in comparison.

I love that the purple in her clothes getting more prevalent as we are getting to the finale uncovering who she truly is.

I never thought this before, but when she says, "That accent really comes and goes... doesn't it" is almost identical to Ursula in the Little Mermaid when she goes, "Life's full of tough choices... isn't it." The positioning of the characters is similar, their roles are nearly identical. Interesting.

A few years before WandaVision Agatha needed to hide from someone. She decided to transform into a radioactive spider. The kid that she said that she bite (0:08) was Peter Parker and that's how he became Spider-Man

Agatha was the best character in the show. She was the perfect antagonist and supporting character
So was Agatha actually a villian? I rewatched the show and I was lowkey really thinking about this. I feel like they tried really hard to paint Wanda in a heroic light but ultimately, it was Wanda that was holding that whole town hostage. All so that she could keep her fake husband and fake kids. I understand the show was about her grief but regardless of her intention, she should take responsibility for her actions in some way. That line from Monica about how the townspeople had “no idea what she sacrificed for them” uhmmm sacrifice what exactly? She only got what she had at the expense of everyone else. That line was so strange to me. Sure Agatha was trying to take her powers and stuff, but note how she also mentioned that Wanda had “no idea what she unleashed into the world” and that she was “destined to destroy us all” Idk just little things to take note of.
The show was basically using sitcoms as an allegory for a "Stages of grief" narrative, Wanda and Agatha were basically two mentally unbalanced witches making the best of a shitty situation!She lost her boyfriend again and her kids!
Then you clearly need to watch the show again. Y'all keep throwing the word hostage around like she knew what was going on herself. And its easy for your privileged ass to chat shit about others. I dont think you have any trauma or have lost anyone in life. Go and thank god for that because you dont know what it feels like. To live in hell and open your eyes to see your paradise, your dream, the perfect reality you always wanted. You can never imagine what its like. Who would end it? She did. THAT'S THE SACRIFICE

Exactly, everyone on the internet is like "omg we forgive Wanda because she was sad".
Her grief is both understandable and relatable, but being sad doesn't mean you can just hurt people, and even if that happens unintentionally, you have to take responsibility for it.
I liked the show in general, but I also think Wandavision did a terrible job at defining that even if Wanda isn't truly evil, she isn't an entirely good person either. I'll just wait for Multiverse of Madness, hopefully there she can finally realize that there's consequences to her actions since the trailers heavily implied she's going to make mistakes again.

Great video, just made me smile all the way through. 👍 Every one is a terrific moment but 1:48 "Where are my children”, is too funny 😂😂😂 ; it’s not only that Agatha is taking the mick out of Wanda’s accent but so meta because it does come and go; the writers cleverly toying with us and delivered brilliantly by Kathryn Hahn - so glad she wasn’t killed off, she was a real highlight of Wandavision and it would be great to see her again in MCU.
