S23 Ultra should not have to share top -spot with the 15 pro max. It doesn't suffer the same from overheating, it's been proven to be more durable, its battery lasts longer and charges quicker, the camera is believed by many to be just as good if not better and you get more customisation options. And that's without mentioning the s-pen which power users like me love. 15 pro max is a great phone but it deserves a second place silver medal in my opinion.

The reviews were great on the S23U so I took a chance and I have to say, I'm glad I did. It was definitely an adjustment at first, but things I thought I'd miss like imessage or FaceTime didn't affect me as I thought it would. The screen on this phone is amazing. The customization options are limitless. The battery exceeds my expectations. Multi-tasking is fluid. Camera and video are dummy proof. Samsung UI is weird with Android. Just weird having two of every core app at first. But a small adjustment. And the recent UI update brought a better app tray, so it is even more user friendly and easy to use. I use a Samsung Galaxy A51, had it for a couple of years at least and it's pretty solid. Ever since my last 1 or 2 phones, when i started getting more into tech and understanding specs, i actually saw the value of having a budget/midrange phone that is good enough with all the base features i want. I don't really care so much about advanced features, i could dabble into those a bit but my main concern is for the phone's basic uses to be *good enough*. I have no problem with the camera even when i have the quality turned down to save storage space i'm told that my phone's camera (or pics i take with it) are great. I will most likely be always buying midrange phones from now on, making sure that what i get doesn't have many compromises.

    • @Rockden
      @Rockden Год назад +1

I think the midrange and entry-level categories are the most interesting ones, there's so much competition between all of the companies, it's always nice to see the improvements they can fit in that price range.
For instance, we recently got 120hz Amoled displays in a lot of phones, even sub-200€ ones.

    • @MrCaptainDesu
      @MrCaptainDesu Год назад

@@Rockden nah, it's just there're some good midrange phones like A52 was (A51 wasn't cuz there's nothing interesting in a basically just redesigned A50) and some seemingly good midrange phones like poco X3 Pro with it's name actually meaning *3 probability of suddenly dying while still on warranty, though it wasn't actually *3 as it more like pretty much 100% dead while still on warranty. Midrange kinda getting nice tech is good and smooth amoled becoming somewhat mainstream for midrange is great, though at the same time there're foldables progressing at usain bolt speed. Big foldables getting close to pretty much as usable folded as any other phone while turning into a tablet if needed, while small foldables are as good as any regular phone that can fit in your pocket w/o being nuisance. Pretty much the main reason I bought myself a z flip :D

-powerfull chip (more powerfull than S22 Iphone 13 14)
    -flagship screen(2K 120hz Amoled)
    -good battery
    -Ok Camera
    -67W fast charging (33W wireless)
    Negatives:
    -No Jack
-only 2 years of OS update (probably)
    -Bad selfie camera
it costs 75 bucks more than the Pixel 7A but you get:
-Almost 2 times the perfomance (according to antutu)
    -Better screen(2K 120hz Amoled compared to 90hz 1080p Oled)
-Better battery (5160 mAh compared to the 4385 mAh)
    - 3x faster charging (67W (33W wireless) compared to the 20W)
Only thing better in the Pixel is the camera and i think the OS 4 years if im not wrong and the design in both is ok

@@veryyesofcourse Well he got money and all the time in the world, he recently bought another Samsung tab because the one I mentioned is old. Mofo is making a collection of some sort.
Sad thing is that he don't even know what 60hz or 120 hz is. He is just born in a rich Business family.

I really love to see samsung and apple get more competition in the west to further push price and features.

Disappointed to see that Pixel 8 pro didn't even get a mention here. Its a great phone with a really competitive hardware and software suite. Plus, Arun played a diplomatic card by awarding the best phone to Samsung and Apple. Great way to keep the masses happy 😅

Long live the King - S23 Ultra. Standing tall even after being around a year old. True Champion 👏

I love my 15 pro max, but I also wouldn’t be upset if I had to switch to a 23 ultra. Both are amazing, it just comes down to eco systems. Great video!!

I liked the video nice job but why change the videos title if the awards are for 2023 smartphones?

I think the reason why so many people go with apple amd samsung is just because they are amazing all around, yes some phones may have a slightly better camera or be slightly faster but they then lack in the other areas and you have to cope with your phone for 2 to 3 years at least so you have to have a phone that will just be good for you for everyday life

I have to agree. I am still using an S21 Ultra. Sure, I can upgrade, but the phone has exceeded my expectations, and I am still amazed with the little things that I have just figured out how to use. Like the raw mode and astrophotography.

For flagships, maybe. When it comes to more mid-range phones, Samsungs become underwhelming, and iPhones become non-existent.

The Xiaomi release frustration has been a thing for me since the Mi 11 Ultra, which I desperately wanted for the incredible zoom camera, but was nigh-impossible to get hold of.
I really hope they do somehow find a way back into the Western market properly, as some of their phones are outstanding.

I've just bought their last 3 Ultras on Ali Express. 10-12 days delivery to Australia and even returned an 11 with water damage 6 months later for a refund after explaining that a huge part of their marketing was about how it could be taken 40m under water.
But I always go through the Xiaomi store on Ali Express.
The 13 Ultra is awesome. The 3.2x camera is perfect for portraits. The Mi 11 Ultra changed the way I take selfies with that screen (and now I just use the reflective camera bump as my selfie screen), and the 12 Ultra was meh. Not really a step up from the 11 but just as good.

this is not called a frustration, this is outright unfair competition and monopoly of the companies that the west favors. I am user of Redmi phone for 3 years now, with the price i pay and the specs i get, its just insane. the people are making less and less so it doesnt make sense that they want me to pay over 1000$ to get a decent phone.

As a Huawei user (I got my P30 months before Google bans Huawei), it hurts me to see that this brand is off the tables in the western market... It also pains me that my work seem to stop supporting their sites using a Huawei phone (I can't even use Teams or Outlook). I really like their phone hardware even today. I might start to save up to get samsung S23
