Just downloaded the demo this am and started playing after watching your vids but I noticed that alot of stuff is different between the demo and what your playing are you using a special version like for content creators? My menus are all symbols where yours are all text and you have alot more unlocked to start then I do. I have played about 5 hours and haven't found an enemy with med wheels yet. Game looks great though looks like they used the space engineers conduit system.
Wow. This brings back so much memories. I loved terratech so much and thought it's the perfect game for me. I remembered trying to build my first heli, moving base and so much more.
I remember struggling a bit at the beginning of TerraTech and then discovered you can actually build factories that are almost automated (storage, refining on demand for production of parts) : that was so nice ! Really looking forward this new one !

Most games never "release" they are in perpetual "early access". Cracks me up. I have games I've been playing for years on end that still claim they are "early access".

Edit: 7 minutes in and I’m sold on it. I. Want. This. Game. The ammo and energy mechanics, a dedicated limited inventory, the reactor system, it all looks so freaking cool. I think the negativity around this game comes from the fact that some people are upset that this game isn’t literally just terratech 2
I'm looking forward to this game, but I'm not entirely sold on it just yet. You are correct in that GeoCorp was the one with the massive parts; it's "geo" as in "geology" because they're a mining company, and they have massive parts to stand up to the rigors of large-scale industrial mining.
If you try it some more, look for a scan function that the others who covered Terratech Worlds used for mining ores. You scan for the ores, when close the ores lights up and show cracks/fault lines that you can cut the large pieces to smaller pieces quicker and when you break the smaller pieces they yield more resources to make up for the more work put in. Hope there's a possibility for an episode 2.
Those black base-building pieces you found, I think they might be Better Future ones, while the ones you can build by default are Geocorp ones, well, not exactly those corporations, as their names are not present in the game, could have different corporations without names for now, due to the game still being early in development. At least I hope there will be corpos or manufacturers with different designs and color schemes, as the game doesn't seem to even have the feature to change the color of your tech.
Really hope they can get the official 1.0 release soon so we can start getting a console version. Still play Terratech on my PS5 but this one just looks more epic in every way!
So, I tried Factor before. Their pretty decent. Most or the meals I tried I liked with some bordering on meh. My problem is the portions didn't fill me up. With the price and the nail in the coffin; the packaging. (throwing away the packaging was a hassle) I decided not to continue with it. But for the right people, I could totally see them working out.
Love the videos, im using a controller and issue im having though is "Y" button does not override the "show objectives" keybind when cursor is highlighting a powered base structure with an on/off function that also uses "Y" as that keybind. There are no other buttons available to rebind "show objectives" to, a workaround would be to leave "show objectives" unbound in controller keybinds however it wont let me leave it unbound, unless im missing something, please help! Thank you
I dislike the new loading screen. The old one was awesome having three npc techs duking it out. I watched those fights for hours. They need to bring that back. Also, where's the tutorial inside the main game? Do you just start with a random tech? In the old one you build one up from the ground and it showed what everything did. Why are they leaving out so much stuff?? Oh god the game has ammo. That immediately turned me away. The best thing about the first game was zero ammo. You could just shoot massive weapons infinitely.
14:30 "Dais" is pronounced like "day'-us" it's another word for a raised pedestal. I'm assuming it's meant for you to display things on top of it. Or stand on top of it and make a speech to your adoring fans gathered below.
I looked this up on stream and it is another coming soon title. That could mean years. AS well, right from the beginning of the video when you are leaving tire marks and sinking in the mud and just solid terrain physics. That is what I expected from Kerbal Space Program 2. Not super smooth rock.
Please play more of this. I love screaming at my tv as you do the opposite of EVERYTHING I do. Inventory full, fight a bot. Pick a base? No something shines appears on the horizon. And so on. Ugh. I still genuinely want you to play more. I’m hoping you create a Frankenstein type of vehile
This feels like such a downgrade. Terratech had its own personality and style now its graphics are bland UE5 and its gameplay is basic survival game. All the fun details that made terratech so great are gone now
Z1, with all due respect... seeing like 8 ads in entire video, and your own sponsored stuff is a bit much, ever since adblockers don't work on this platform its a but much man.... I love your content, and of course I wish good income for you... but lately it feels more like watching ads than videos (not only your videos of course!) I am sorry, but write this here, because where else do we need to go when it becomes too much? (again, not a attack on you of course, just RUclips becomes less fun to be on... )
I can understand this 100%, sadly I can only "request" where and how many ads be placed in a video, RUclips decides how many actually appear and where. I know how this will sound but, If you watch RUclips a lot I would recommend RUclips premium, it removes all ads along with other perks.

Yeah the mechanics overhaul really lets this game down for me. Terratech did it perfectly, this is just a downgrade in every way.
