Awesome- also the next time you see yzuei should just say "beanz" (it is actually related to something that happened in one of his streams) Edit: PLEASE PLAY THIS WHEN IT COMES OUT
So RCE was playing this too, and he found out that the reason your base isn't giving you the restore tokens is because for some reason it builds upside-down when you first place it
@@anonymouspotato4899 -- Oh, so the ramp ends up upsidedown either because the first peice was placed upsidedown, or for the same reason the first piece started upsidedown.
OH MY GOD, TERRATECH was like such a cool game that I would watch before, I didn't even think they would make a more modern version of it and they DID?! I'm definitely going to get it.
The nostalgia, I remember staying up all summer night to watch your terratech videos on my tablet years ago, so much has changed since then and I’m glad terra is one of those things
This game feels like a combination of Scrap Mechanic, Trailmakers and Satisfactory and I'm loving it. The game does look a little rough around the edges right now but if you keep playing it, I'm sure it'll only get better. Please do continue this game on the channel! It's a breath of fresh air
Hey Scrapman, it looks like if you target a block and break it, it is destroyed. But if you destroy the block that connects other blocks to the cab, those other blocks are dropped to be picked up. So, if you want to collect a certain type of block from enemies, aim to disconnect them instead of destroy them, like how you destroy the enemy weapons to disarm them, and so cannot collect those weapons yourself.
Man this game looks awesome, i used to play a lot of terratech, and this really makes me wanna get back into it. The devs really outdid themselves with the graphics
Nice to see Payload added a few more useful tips since the previous beta version. But it looks like they may need one more about placing the tech yard upside-down. 😅👍
I used to love terratech and i didnt even notice that this game was also called terratech untill i saw the vehicle blocks and it brough so much nostalgia
i cant believe ive been watching your channel for so long, i remember watching the OG terratech videos when they were brand new, that was even with an old OLD account
ive been playing this game for a few days now and i am having a blast. a few notes you actually have to use the techyard by hitting tab while its lit up to get your restore charges back and access its part catalogue, and be sure to use weapon mounts/axels to save on reactor load for wheels and weapons.
I'd love to see more if this on the channel, with scrapmechanic crashlander and the long desiered survival update along with it! Keep up the great work.
Scrapman, those structures you found on the mountain can actually taken apart and take with you aka, you can take apart the base, take it into your inventory and take it back to build or own base with it. Oh and the reason why your base isn’t giving you repair tokens is because your Tech Yard (the 1st base platform you get in your inv at the start of the game) are either upside down or missing from your base.
Place a lightning rod on your base station and your vehicle and you will no longer get destroyed by lightning. You can use this to go pick up destroyed techs in the lightning trees. You can leave parts to draw them in, as well. You can go to distant structures and break them apart. Each piece can stack up to ten identical pieces in the same storage space. This will save you a lot of resources and building. There are big techs at the cold icy areas, but you have to draw them out, otherwise you will freeze and break apart. The big techs have plasma cannons, so you'll need to use a lot of firepower to take them out quickly. One good practice when fighting, is to collect the techs pieces you blast off. This will keep them from repairing themselves before you can finish them off. Also, if you can target and break their guns and scoop them up before they can repair themselves, then they are defenseless and easy to pick off. You can install street lights/lamps to light up your base. You can install multiple storage bins/silo's to hold lots of stuff. When taking parts from towers, you can find various constructed units, ready to install at your base.
So hyped that you are gonna get into this game as well! :D Now, between watching you, and watching Dean, so many of us are gonna be able to play the Demo and act smarter and better at playing it then we actually really are! ;P P.S. Just in case ya haven't watched past TTW Streams with Dean, in one of them he begged us to not out-build him and make his Tech Building Skillz look bad... i'm sure ya know what to do with that... >:)
@scrapman !! small tip... your tech yard..(the base block) was upside down... thats why you couldn't get free repairs at tech yard..you were in hard mode ;) also because of reversed tech yard, all your base blocks were upside down too...
This is the perfect game it has a gathering and building aspect and you can create your own vehicles it’s like if terratech, and Minecraft had a baby blessed by god
I love terratech so seeing this video made my day I hope this series is supported so there can be more episodes of this and maybe a multiplayer series or just multiplayer videos/build challenges
Well, there go my plans for today. I am gonna eat breakfast, do a quiz for school, then get this demo installed. As a TerraTech player, I am waiting until this game releases because I love the original
This game is so cool even in the demo state. I always love games that made you be afraid of " living " things instead of just go and ramping everything as if there nothing but background objects.
This game means so much to me well the orignal terra tech ive been playing for about 4 years and inspired me to do trailmakers and scarp mechanic so I hope you enjoy it its amazing.
You can either claim an already built base place like you found in this video or make your own base from scratch and claim that with your techyard block the black side needs to be up so that you can interact with the TechYard yours is upside down causing all your blocks to spawn upsidedown as well. If you find Lightning rods for your base or Tech don't lose them or else you know what you will need to keep dealing with as you explore the worlds Biomes. Silo is in small, medium, and large sizes and they are your base storage for resources and Tech parts with base structures as well. Place your tech yard away from structures on the base platform to Respawn properly without getting stuck and place the TechYard right side up to receive your Recovery charge points and also to interact with Tech vehicle editing with parts in your inventory and Auto saving of Tech vehicle when you get of the Tech Yard. Aim for the tech cabs destroying that will allow you to take all the blocks of the tech you were aiming at the other pieces on the Tech and they were getting destroyed by you causing you to lose out on them you can claim all parts of the Tech that isn't destroyed except the Tech Cab. Your Tech cab is your main part/cockpit/power generator of the Tech if that is destroyed you lose your Tech and is the same for all the Techs you find in the world. You can find/craft batteries for your Tech and Base allowing your power storage charge capacity to be increased as well as your energy weapon attack duration. You could find Auxilary generators for your Tech to increase your charge rate per second along with bigger batteries for your Tech.
DUDE a couple months ago i was debating getting terratech for the nostalgia from when i was like 8 watching terratech videos. now a decade later and theyre making a new one. actually it was released in 2015 so its 9 years, and almost to the dot actually, two more days till the anniversary. man i remember even back in 2013 watching KSP videos and then i got the 10 year anniversary coin on pre-order. man i need to go back to these nostalgia games
I love scrap mechanic, love trailmakers even more, and loved terra tech when I did play it. I played it after seeing scrapman & lathland playing it. I'm going to absolutely LOVE playing this new title.
to transfer power from buildings, the buildings need to share a block and be touching. (until you get power cables)this means early on your base ends up with all the buildings in a row.
The graphics in this game are cool and the fights with enemies pose a nice challenge (It's refreshing after watching much of the usual scrap mechanic and trailmakers uploads) can't wait to watch multiplayer in this game if it does
I've had the first game game since a very early beta and I love to see the jenkily pulled off ideas and mods for Terrarech have become features for the new game. Such as building structures you drive on, water, etc
scrapman the first tech depot or block you put down is upside down. the bright yellow patch should be facing upward. if you are having trouble with things being spawned in upside down or trying to place upside down then try flipping that main block.
Im actually getting this game, no matter what the game is like, ive just opened this video, and now that i know its by the same people, not a palworld moment, im getting it. I loved terratech
I think I speak for at least the majority of scrap viewers, please continue this, I love scrap mechanic and trail makers but they get old, would love more diversity on the channel
You can destroy the electrical trees for carbon and lithium. Those bases can be disassembled and moved to your base. You can find storage chests to place at your base as well.
It looks like a very promising game. Excited to see where it goes from here. I hope that it allows oceanic parts and air parts at some point. Heck a space tech would be cool aswell, but that might be beyond the intended scope of the game

if you actually read this,
deleting that guys comments was the right thing to do, he was very irritating
So RCE was playing this too, and he found out that the reason your base isn't giving you the restore tokens is because for some reason it builds upside-down when you first place it
Weird
I was going to comment similar, they need to fix that. Once u turn it the right way up you can interact with it when u drive over it
I bet it's because the ramp spawns upsidedown, so once you flip it over everything else spawns upsidedown.
@@TlalocTemporal Except neither of them put down the ramp first, they put it down after the repair station
@@anonymouspotato4899 -- Oh, so the ramp ends up upsidedown either because the first peice was placed upsidedown, or for the same reason the first piece started upsidedown.

I watched the original terratech videos when they first came out. Its been one of my favorite series on the channel. Nice to see it making a return!
I wishlisted this one as soon as I realized it existed. I can't wait for it to come out, this demo has made me even more eager!
I totally forgot about your TerraTech series, I was so excited when you started that since none of the people I watched played it anymore
Imagine the epic multiplayer matches they’ll have. Honestly can’t wait.
It's amazing that you've returned to TerraTech. Looking forward to more of this series.
TerraTech was one of my childhood games that I love to watch and now its back, please make a survival series on this
