Thank you. I feel like I could do any type of mechanical work on my Porsche if you had a video for it. You did a very detailed job and I appreciate it very much.
eBay, look up 981 ducktail and you should find a bunch. I just had it painted and it fit really well. I believe I paid somewhere around 600-700 for it.
... and I thought that changing the air filter on my 987 Cayman was a pain in the ass lol. Very poor design to have to remove the entire trunk carpeting, maybe they should make the front vertical part fold back or detachable. Oh well, in the big picture it’s just a minor inconvenience to being able to enjoy a truly amazing vehicle.
Probably because behind the trunk carpeting there are so many other pieces you have to remove too, so best solution is to remove the whole thing so you have easy access to the stuff you gotta remove.

Thank you for posting the video. I had no idea what kind of project I'm facing.
Great Video and step by step instructions Thanks Man
did mine today, took about 30 mins, you can just fold the carpet down tho with out full removal.
Good video buddy. Nice to see another 981 tutorial
Nice video thanks ! Do you know what is the gain with these filtres in terms of HP or TORQUE ?
I’d wear some light mechanics gloves. My knuckles will bleed for a week after that
Where did you get that wing?

is it doable without removing the carpet? Maybe just bending would be enough. I will change the filters soon on my S.
Honestly I don't think so but you can always try!
Yes, you can just fold it down. Cheers.
Seems like you could make a vertical cut on each side to make it easier to just drop down...and maybe install Velcro or elastic loops to hold it up.

hey bro you need to grease the parts that have the rubber gaskets...everyone knows that
They come pregreased...
@@CR9959 the grease fades over time..They need to be re-greased each time you change them
