Belle averaged 40 hrs per 162 games. Dud was a monster, and was robbed of the 1995 MVP, as his next season wasn't too shabby either. Thanks for posting these highlights.
Ding Dong the pitch is dead! Dang that four year stretch from 1995-1998 was pretty darn epic for albert. 50/50 club, 48 and 49 homers in 3 of those years respectively, 120 RBIs plus in three of those years, and .310 plus BA.
Mr. Belle might have had some issues off the field, but for a stretch, he terrified most managers on what to do with him when he was at bat. What this video shows is how fast his bat was then he pulled the trigger. It was like, "wait, wait, wait, FIRE!"
@calvinjohnson belle may have been the most feared right handed hitter of the 1990s but guys like thomas, piazza, and bagwell weren’t far behind. (and maybe mcgwire but he didn’t hit for average as well as the other four).
Though process of a 90s pitcher when facing the Indians: Shit, I don’t want to face Albert Belle. I’ll walk him and face one of these next two batters: Next two batters: Jim Thome and Manny Ramirez.

50 home runs and 50 doubles and he didn’t win the MVP award 🤦🏻♂️

in 1995 he was the first to hit 50 HR and 50 doubles and thats with a strike short season by 16 games.

Love the 90’s Indians keep it up
im glad ive never been to a baseball game indoors
0:20 rare scott erickson going with the home whites. He loved the color black and wore the orioles black jersey whenever he could
he had no equal from the right side of the dish…1 of 1…most feared right handed hitter of his generation
