Great memories, imo people say Halo 3 was best the one. Yeah, they're right. When it comes to Halo 2 and the expansion pack, I still firmly believe that nothing can touch it's greatness. Halo 3 was the best one and Halo 2 was the great one.

If you watch closely, you'll notice that Halo Wars 1 & 2 got respectful, firm handshakes. Not a lot of love, but respect. I think that's a fair assessment of how they did compared to Halo games overall. Thoughts?

@@spartanq7781 What's bad is, I had high hopes for infinite, and everything was great. But the armor customization? Halo 3 had better armor customization. If they aren't going to let us select our own color combinations, and make it to where you don't gotta spend 5 months or over $200 just to customize your SPARTAN IIs only to look like every other player who's grinded for months or even an entire year due to how shitty the battle pass is. . . They could atleast have given us playable elites. Yes, I just went on that semi long ass rant, and believe it or not, that's the least horrible thing I have to say about infinites armor customization. It's sad when the shit that is Halo 5 is more immersive than what should of been the GREATEST Halo game 343 has ever made.
Infinites campaign was amazing though.

Not hated on just a very inconsistent novel that came with some great ideas and lore building (it’s why we even have ODSTS)
But the writing, characters and plot was more of a miss than a hit.

really? The other two did not stand out at all to me. The flood was absolutely nothing short of spetacular for its recontextualization of the game from master chiefs perspective and explaining what is happening to the other factions at each point. Before halo ce felt very cold, but now knowing what's happening all across the ring. It feels fulfilling in a way.

I really liked it the first time I read it, but I started rereading it the other day and put it down halfway through. It was so... weird. People not acting like people. Like, I get the bad blood between ODSTs and Spartans, but the hatred is just weird.
The Halo Wars series is very underrated. However, this was amazing, so I won't get salty. Love the Infinite part especially.

I think Reach had the perfect mix of everything-the best forge world, great campaign, fantastic matchmaking. The only 2 critiques I ever had were that sprint wasn't ubiquitous and that there weren't pelicans in forge mode
That game was Halo 99% perfected.
My problem with it was the armour abilities I think they should’ve been things that you found on the map and dropped when you died instead of something that you start with
@@clearwolf4596 nah. I never liked the things found on the map idea. Armor abilities were innovative. Unfortunately, all of their successors were awful. Armor abilities should really only be movement or strategy based, but in later titles and in other games they often end up just being an instant kill button or something

1, 2, 3, Reach, ODST and MCC getting the most love is definitely accurate. Even if MCC launched pretty awfully, nowadays they're all fantastic games

As soon as I saw ‘Halo: The Official Cookbook’ followed by “Nice to meat you” I lost it 😄. And then you absolutely topped that with the shear juxtaposition of chest bumping the Halo 2 MMP and not even glancing at Halo Infinite 😂. So brutal. This is genuinely one of the best halo, video game and general memes I have ever seen, great job on this

They need to let Joe Staten and Max Hoberman take full control of Halo at this point. Max has been pointing out a lot of issues with modern Halo on Twitter and it makes me wish he and Certain Affinity had full control along with Joe.

Honestly I’d rather just let the franchise die. Halo had it’s time in the sun and it was glorious, but it will never reach those highs again. A brand new AAA shooter property with big ideas is sorely needed right now.

@@r.e.z9428 Honestly I could argue Halo Infinite has a worse campaign. Halo 5's problem was a lack of explaining things,too many things going on and a abrupt ending. Halo Infinite on the former and latter is the same. The problem of too many things going on is the complete opposite in Infinite. Nothing happens. I expected a continuation of Halo 5 not an abandoning of it's cliffhanger plot points for a do nothing plot of Infinite. The open world is so lifeless and repeative. It reminds me of Breath of The Wild and coming from me that's a bad thing.

Infinites campaign was solid and gameplay too. I'd have shook it's hand for that much. The one that deserved to be ignored is the TV show
Why are the banished on Zeta Halo and why are they trying to Revive the endless? And while we're here, why did Atriox not just kill Chief in the opening cutscene instead of letting him drift out into space? Why does Escharum talk about an honourable battle the entire game and then put up an invulnerable shield that redirects any damage he receives to the pilot? Why do the banished forces that discover chief multiple times on the ring not just call for 10+ phantoms to wipe chief out? Why does every antagonist do nothing for the entire game then show up at the end and die? Except for Atriox who does the complete opposite (dies at the start, then shows up at the end to do *checks notes* nothing). I don't understand how anyone can see this campaign as "solid" by any measure.
