Thank you for all the help over the past couple months. I have taken all the information from your videos/comments and gotten my P1S to print perfectly!
Glad it's been helpful!!!
@@3DMusketeers Keep up the great work!
Thank you! Definitely trying!
Digging into your plate with a nozzle is one way to customize your plate 😂
Now we just need custom gcode. Just saying, this would be a HILARIOUS April fools thing!
the dragster one was lucky...you are correct...that is an insurance claim would be a nightmare.
I did talk to all my loved ones this week. I came home on tuesday and Abby (dog) was barely moving. She's had this degenerative disease for a while. It escalated to the next stage. She gave up on me. Unfortunately it was too late to call the vet. I had to wait till the next day. Sadly I couldn't take her to bed with me like normal because I had a bad feeling it was going to be a messy night. And it was. I had her for 11 years and in that time there were nasty times and none of it compares to what I saw wednesday. I had to give her a bath before taking her to the vet. She died in my arms, but at that point she was barely there. She barely did anything on tuesday. She didn't budge an inch on wednesday. It's still incredibly painful. I didn't just save her. She saved me. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for her. But yeah all my family and friends contacted me. Even my boss stopped by yesterday to offer her condolences. As a result of this I didn't do much printing this week.
I feel for you it’s such a loss sorry
Out here in el paso 5 mins in the sun and pla warps but ironically have had pla+ in my car (out of the sun) and it’s been fine. Pla is weird for sure.
those modifiers in the plastics can be realllllly weird
My magneto X decided to engrave the bottom layer of a benchy into my build plate as well as the purge line. Glad I didn’t put the diamond back on it yet otherwise it probably be worse.
oh noooooooooo
Best show on the internet!
Thanks! Hoping to make it better soon!
Yeah, the heat wave was brutal. I was at a festival selling 3-D printed items and it was as hot as Australia.
that definitely tracks lol
As an owner of multiple beacon probes I can confirm contact is extremely nice. Something I don't see mentioned a lot is that it completely eliminates any need for gantry twist compensation which is something I've struggled with on my larger Vcores. I can't see myself ever building another ratrig/ Voron without it
9:56 checking the recording has answered a lot of questions about why my print failed. So far it’s been adhesion or it bumped something.
Put enough power to the ground in that dragster and it will lift that front end right up ;-)
Interesting that so many in this community are willing to display their failures like the STL Denise dragster. It always becomes a teaching opportunity that might save someone else from experiencing the same thing. Hats off to Denise & Rich! Or maybe heads off in the next Death Racer match at 3D Printopia!
I got same blob problem on my A1Mini possible due to wet PETG... Need to replace whole hotend heater.
wet petg would not, on its own, cause a blob.
I have a panda touch and also want to use it with Klipper. Can you confirm if the firmware for the Klipper version is out yet? I looked not long ago and it was not out yet for download. Thanks
I do not know for sure, sorry!
Aww no Babpoo bashing :( ;)
Thank you Grant you made my Friday a bit brighter
@3D Musketeers, I wonder if STLDenise had car insurance on that dragster, lol
DANGGGG thats a good joke I missed! I need to ask you got script reviews LOL
@@3DMusketeers Yep, I was surprised you did not use it, lol.
The one real annoyance with the A1 mini is the camera. Actually on every Bambu besides the X1C. The boards don’t have enough processing to have the camera do more than a photo every 5-10 seconds. Half the time the images are blurry. The lie that they can do Timelapse’s is hilarious. However I’m not next to printers so need cameras to check on them.
oh really? I thought it had a decent amount of processing power
@@3DMusketeers for printing it does. However to run camera it doesn’t.
21:15 I’m leaving all the comments today. I didn’t realize how invasive bambu was until I started watching you. But Im kind of all right with it. I won’t put anything under NDA on it. (That’s what my magneto is for.) I use it to print display items like a master sword or something and I like the ecosystem. I basically have that camera on 24 seven on my second monitor just to monitor my jobs. And they did a really good job making it easy to use, even though I’ve been printing for years. I still like it. (Klipper is not fun to learn I’ve been fighting it since I got my magneto.) it’s like all the people that use iPhones sure they could give you all these features android users have in only like days worth of development but they won’t because F the end user. Yet iphones still dominate the market.
Always room for her!!! pspspsps
they should call it the bacon revD. lol
Bambu cultists could walk into a room and see flames engulfing their precious Bambu printer and still make excuses and say "user error, Bambu is perfect!" Its ridiculous the attitude these people have. They are the Scientologists of 3D printing....Not kidding.
The A1 blob of death Happened too me at least twice. It's a mess. But fixable. The Silicon what you have extra is indeed not the sock but if you Look behind the nozzle where the cables are there are some guides for them. I mean there should be. But for the guy who messaged, not any longer. It's fine without it because the cables are sturdy enough. Th BoD happens to me most of the time if I have Bad bed adhision with a 0.2 nozzle
oh, interesting! does the A1 not have a sock??
@@3DMusketeers it does of course. But there is also Silicon on the back of the nozzle as guidance. I have a hotend sparpart. I could Show you a picture. Can I send you pictures on discord or something like that?
yeah, discord works, @3dmusketeers there too.
Also, Silicone, like boobs, not silicon like computer chips ;)
I would buy a Beacon, but they dont offer a PayPal option or sell them on Amazon.
As far as i know the A1 doesn’t have AI failure detection
really? the camera seems kind of pointless then
@@3DMusketeers It sure is…. 😐
Anybody who gets a BLOB WITH PLA,,,,,, it's user error because that means you didn't watch to make sure the first layer was fine into the second layer and nothing stuck to the nozzle, this only happens when you start a print and walk away........ Most of the time if it starts out good it will end good so just a few minutes to watch the beginning, I usually watch the first few layers at least two or three
I printed some ASA lately and after around 5-10 layers, it began warping, nozzle dragged it along and formed a blob under the silicone sock. Maybe it only happens with easier materials directly after the first layer, but everything warping may catch you later.
@@drstefankrank well you should have been able to see the lifting at five layers to tbh, and if you didn't you weren't looking close enough
@@NoMercyFtw At five layers. In your original post you said it happens after the first layer and you watch two or three, but I have to watch until after five? If you have difficult filaments that you have to print slow and big prints, five layers can already take up to an hour. I've seen the blob on the camera not long after it happens, so I could recover the printer without damaging anything.
@@drstefankrank if you're printing with difficult filaments to begin with you should know better, and majority of the time it's an adhesion problem and yes your nozzle grabs onto the first layer drags it it keeps printing because it doesn't know it's not on the build plate
@@drstefankrank why is it that you make a comment on a video on the internet and everyone reaches for every explanation in between the lines, if I have to stay all the knowledge that I have and everything I know before making a comment just to make sure everybody knows that I know it can happen after the first layer The second layer the third layer the fourth layer the fifth layer The sixth layer the seventh layer, obviously but majority of the times it happens on the first layer stop reaching
once again if you're new to printing the only ender you should be buying is a KE. Don't waste your time anything less. A KE wouldn't have done that.
fair! It is not impossible. A Bambu should not do that, but it did..
Hi there! Been a while since I commented, thought I would be the first on this one! 😁
ooof sorry Salty, #2 on this one :(
Hope you are doing well sir!
@@3DMusketeers I am doing well. Just chillin' and printin'. 🤣
Yeah, I don't fully get why, but I still want a Bambu. I just don't want to deal with Bambu themselves. Like Apple, they have a good solid machine, and, like Apple, their behind-the-scenes ecosystem seems to be very anti-user. I like how others are slowly implementing some of the Bambu tech, so maybe soon we will have a completely open equal-competitor.
looks like most of the other companies have some clones either out or coming, so there is that..
@@3DMusketeers Yeah, I can't wait. I am not "Maker" enough to put together some of those other multi-filament units with the correct programs, or other attachments I see "everyone" doing.
Okay, so I may have a touch of the green-eyed monster in the community.
dude my AMS is randomly broken after less than a few months. the hotend has clogged 3 times now requiring brand new hotends. bambu is TRASH!
I mean, at least the hotends are cheap and easy to replace. What broke in the AMS?
I’ve noticed that nearly all the Bambu Lab Facebook pages are really toxic. Both towards newbies and veteran.
They say they are all for free speech but the minute you mention something bad about Bambu they gang up on the user.
But also mention that another. Rand of printer is working better than Bambu and again they gang up on you.
Someone mentioned they bought the new kobra 3 combo and just said it was going faster than their Bambu and they hijacked the post and slated the kobra to the point the admins locked the post. Another post a user said they bought a 3rd party extension cable for the a1 and they were called every name under the sun.
Another user said he will be keeping his ender 3 for some job and the members on the Bambu Facebook said forget the ender is cr@p he responded with if it wasn’t for Creality and then ender 3 we wouldn’t have the printers and technology we have now. Once again the Bambu fanboys basically belittled him and made this newbie feel like he made mistake buying his a1.
Yeah, that's on brand for them.. toxic af
Hello
hi
Bro, I appreciate what you do big time and I appreciate the "hints" about Bambu Lab but you really need to be more clear about what is fact and what is suspicious and what is potential etc. This whole innuendo thing you're doing with them is a little frustrating for those of us less knowledgeable than you about this stuff. IF all you're suggesting is that they have access to the files I print, ok, not great but for a hobbyist like myself who only prints the odd repair part/toy/miniature, I don't care that much, it's not cool, maybe not ethical either but no big deal *for me.* *BUT* if you're suggesting more or if you're suggesting they're capable of doing more specifically while on my network, like compromising other devices on my network, that's a much bigger issue.
I am guessing you missed the log file video we did? Detailing exactly what was in a log file, only obscuring incredibly detailed personal info and serial numbers?
We are very clear on our issues with Bambus and IP around here. But further, being an IoT device, they have more access than you may think. If you want to limit exposure but still maintain it online, set up a separate v lan for it. From there you can limit it's ability to communicate to the outside world.
