Pyro’s problem is that he jumped headfirst into a lifestyle he can no longer sustain. The second after he started FFXIV and blew up he quit his job, bought a new car, bought a house, got married. The instant he finished MSQ he went straight back to “streaming is a hobby” levels of support and now he can’t keep up. He’s been pissed about it ever since.

This is 100% his issue. Rather than wait for 6-9 months to see if he could maintain and sustain his growth, he doubled down so he could stream full time without realizing that his sub count would return to baseline once the MSQ was done because outside of his reacts to lore, he didn't actually offer a community and he wasn't that entertaining or chill to watch. He has essentially been embroiled in 3-4 major blow-ups since streaming as well. This guy flies off the handle on a quarterly basis at this point. He needs help, and if he's getting help, he needs to rethink his treatment because it isn't fucking working.

Accurate. He isn't as humble as he tried portray, but his decline in viewership was added to by his attitude/outbursts. I think he would have levelled off into being a 1-2k average streamer, since at this height he was getting 4-7k. But after being rude to several viewers then maths and console vs PC incidents, he dropped right back down to where he started. I felt bad for him at first, since dude has a problem, but he keeps putting himself in these situations, like with the Zepla stuff, he was being such a holier-than-thou hypocrite I lost all empathy.

Then one day I said something in his chat, something about disconnects becoming more frequent, and he loses his mind and starts calling me a liar and saying he's gonna ban me. His chat got uncomfortable and sided with me cause it was this insane Bipolar switch-flip for him. He reached out to me the next day to invite me back in because we were both wrong (Although his language suggested he was 51% right, like you said). Dude hasn't changed a bit. And it's such a sucker-punch because he otherwise sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. It's like a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde situation. I've been playing Destiny since 2014 and in that community you oftentimes have people who dedicate themselves to the lore and such channels tend can do well enough for themselves (Myelin Games, My Name is Byf, etc etc) but that's because lore in Destiny is so... dense. The game just throws heaps upon heaps of lore books and lore tabs upon people and it's not something the player discovers organically through the video game medium. It's just... "here's a piece of armor with a story attached to it, go read it." As such, it's not uncommon for people to flock to those aforementioned lore channels for a sort of digest of the lore.
This kind of thing does not necessarily occur in XIV. Everything feels just much more readily accessible and a lot of the history and lore of the world is obtained in an organic matter by... well, playing the game.

There's so many ways in which followers matter, too. Ofc, in the first place, they're relevant for all sorts of algorithm related stuff, but even beyond that, being part of that community means people talk about and share his content with their friends, which might get hooked themselves that way, also, the community feeling from a lively chat is a big part of what makes the paying subscribers feel comfortable and less hesitant to continue to spend on him, and so on.
It's basically the same logic why F2P MMOs exist - the devs don't gain money from the players who don't pay, but their word of mouth, their slew of fanworks, their presences filling the world, etc. are very much relevant to making it a good experience for the ones who DO spend money.

I tuned into Pyro’s streams here and there around the time I was into binging FF14 stuff. I think what it came down to was his anger issues. Between long periods of note taking and passive aggressive (sometimes just aggressive) comments at his chat, his stream really was not a fun place to be.
As some would say, he really fumbled the bag. His anger was a double edged sword, people love when it was directed at public enemy #1 aka WoW 😂. But when it shifted to them, and then the passage of time, along with the degeneracy of chat…it was only a matter of time.
His choice to go all in wasn’t a bad one. But he should have adapted and changed, took streaming more seriously, its a story as old as time really.

It's sad because Pyro when he's not losing it he's pretty entertaining, I've enjoyed his story analysis on top of his WoW lore stuff. But his ego gets the best of him way too easily and becomes self destructive real quick. I've tried giving him multiple chances as a casual viewer (as silly and dramatic as that sounds) but his tantrums are just too bizarre and disrespectful. His mods don't help either, he just surrounds himself with yes-men that feed into the hug-box. And I don't even mean to call him a "snowflake" but it's true, the stuff he argues with his chat about is absolutely bizarre.
I remember one time he realized his walking speed was bound to "end" his chat. Chat then started making "Endwalker Pog" jokes. Mods went nuclear on it for some reason, claiming people were sharing spoilers. Pyro took their side despite people explaining that they were just making a joke, just banning everyone who was trying to say things and eventually going into that "If you don't want to watch we don't want you here anyway" type rant. So bizarre when if he just listened to what people were saying all of it could have been laughed off and avoided.

Then next day, you get called into HR, fired from your job and blacklisted. She turned something you did not know was that serious into something very serious.
That is the same level of extreme overreaction that envelopes pyro. And he will justify it by telling you that making raunchy sex jokes is not appropriate and denigrating, etc. Some woke reasoning to guilt/shame you, calls you names and that you should grow up. I mean lets not beat around the bush, ff14 viewer count as a whole is incredibly low compared to many other games including WoW itself.

@@veppy4952 Your speaking of a game that is 10 years older and much more known, please tell me what wow does different and how is related to the game itself and not the streamer.
The reason thoese stream succed is no diferent than what Xenosys Vex does.

Wierdest thing to me is he talks about how people should'nt be toxic and promotes positivity and then gets one guy'd and snaps into an extremely toxic person.

Pyro is so self destructive. Streaming is seriously not a healthy career for him. Saying that people who don’t sub don’t add any value to your stream is basically career suicide. How tf do you think you grow? You attract new people and if they like your content enough and they can afford it maybe they will support more directly through subbing.
Seriously though. Pyro needs to find a new career.
You can make a career streaming 14, but you gotta be seriously entertaining to do so which Pyro is not.
PS: that walk back by Fahros has gotta go in a top 10 most painfully obvious walk backs of all time.

Man. Okay, so being on the spectrum myself and struggling with some ADHD like issues I did empathize with Pyro and part of me still does, but damn my man's imploding like crazy.

Fuck him man, he don't know you or care about you. Having ADHD or ASD doesn't excuse shitty behaviour in adults. Many people have autism and are the nicest people ever. Infact I have a friend who has asberges and he is the coolest most nicest guy in the world. Fuck pyro. I bet you are 100x nicer than him! I can understand why you would empathise with him but it's wasted on someone like that lol. Autism is technically a super power anyways so your good bro.

By the looks of it, Pyro is pretty much an adult that never truly matured emotionally... He's insanely unstable in that regard, and that usually leads to his infamous "Rants", which are more like tantrums.
Like Xeno said... It would be much better for both Pyro and the FF14 community if he just stopped streaming altogether, because clearly the dude is not emotionally built for it.
And quite frankly... very few people are built for such a job. Being a public figure can be incredibly draining psychologically, you are NOT allowed to make mistakes, or else you'll get socially crucified, sometimes by your very own community. You also HAVE to learn how to cope with the abuse people will throw your way, because if you don't... Well, you get cases like Pyro.

Grinding Gear is a great example of how to stream this game. You come for the MSQ but you stay for the bromance.
