Hey hey sweet friends. I wanted to share some good news with y'all. Remember me asking y'all to please pray for my family and I. After my hospital visit last weekend, my daughter-in-law has sent us pictures and texts about them. We got to see them this past Sunday. I wanted to cry happy tears. Plus, I'm feeling better. Taking it day by day. Thank you again, everyone for your prayers.
I remember the biscuit making video, laughed till I cried, but look at you now!!! There is a plastic sheet type thing that’s for rolling out dough. I have my grandmothers and gave my son my moms. That way you can roll out the dough but not have quite the mess. 😜
Oh my goodness! I’m laughing because my husband freaks out how I bake and mix on the counter too too… it’s southern cooking the real way. I’m not southern but I come from a mixed race family and we make tortillas on the counter like this. Love your channel ❤️
That area you showed in Blowing Rock looks so amazing! I looked it up and theres also Grandfather mountain with a mile high swinging bridge! Did you do that? We love to hike and even though its over 6 hours from here i want to go!
Per Cooking with Brenda Gantt you should always bake biscuits at 450 for 10-12 minutes. She says the high heat helps them rise. Your biscuits look good, though. ❤
You need to remove dead leaves from your tomatoes ! Also weed around your Hydrangea before the weeds start getting bigger! Sorry, I have a pet peeve about weeds!
ALL Italian women make pasta on their countertops (never in a bowl) so why would it be any different for biscuits? I don't think it's any different. It's all flour and liquid, whether its biscuits or pasta.
Tips for your plants - 1. never water from the top, always at ground level 2. Water first thing in the morning (as early as possible), not during the heat of the day. This allows the plants to access the water when they need it and prevents putting stress on them. 🙂
Sweety try not to water your plants overhead. Instead water around the bottom of the plants. It can cause disease, leaf mold and leaf burn. I want to see you have success with your garden like you have with your great videos!❤
Jessica, you might like a silicone pastry mat to use on your countertop, $10 or less, can be washed, rolled up for storage, and will probably eliminate the “nope” factor that direct use of countertop has for your husband
don't spray water on your tomato plants.. only water at the base. It will make the leaves burn/die/turn yellow. Tomatoes do not like being wet, only the roots. :) LOVE the Hydrangea.. it's my favorite flower. I have one I planted about that small and it's 3 yrs old and I got the biggest most beautiful deep pink hygrangeas all over it this year. The best thing to eat with pinto beans is cornbread! haha I can't say much about your biscuits... I can cook just about anything. But I have never mastered the biscuit. Probably a good thing for my waistline.I do know, however, that you MUST ROLL them out on the counter, same with pie crust, making pasta, etc. That is what the scraper is for. You just have to use enough flour to keep it from gobbing up on the surface. It shouldn't be wet when you dump it, or if it is you need a big pile of flour to dump it into.
Jessica, check out Cooking with Brenda Gantt. She has videos on YT on making biscuits (she uses lard too) and they look delicious too! My husband makes the biscuits in our house and for church breakfasts. He uses biscuit mix, club soda, sour cream. Then he dips them in melted butter as he puts them on the baking pan. We call them "cardiac biscuits" and they are wonderful. If your sunflower patch looks like vines then I think your Mom has pulled a fast one on you. My sunflowers grow as plants with stalks.
I'd suggest cutting the brown leaves off of the tomato plants and also give them some garden veggie fertilizer :) The brown leaves steal a lot of nutrition from the rest of the plant.
Sorry, but Lard makes much better biscuits! My mother in law always used lard, and she made the most delicious cat head biscuits you have ever tasted. Flaky fluffy delicious!!!
I'm not one who normally likes to cook. However, you have truly inspired me! Your enthusiasm is contagious!! I have added some new favorite recipes to my binder thanks to you!! (Cowboy Caviar, Berry Icebox Cake, Cowboy Beans & Watergate Salad are incredible, thank you!) You also inspire me to be sweet to my husband, which makes him sweet to me!!
Was so happy to have you pop up on here. I was thinking of you this morning. I remember that biscuit video 😊, I have seen biscuits made on the counter. You look like a pro now🙌. Daisy was so cute up on the porch supervising you guys. Have a wonderful week ahead.
Omg, I got to tell you guys, I laughed until I cried (literally) during the biscuit making, I had to pause it with moms response! and again with the scraping off the concrete biscuit dough off the counters, too funny!!
It took me years to learn to properly make my Mom’s fantastic peanut butter fudge because one of the ingredients listed was “two glops of peanut butter”! Great cooks usually don’t measure and they have their own words for things, lol!
Loved your video! I’m glad you get to spend time with your families. I remember watching your first biscuit making episode 😂 you have it perfect now. Enjoy the rest of your week! I love you guys ❤️
Hello, love watching you two! I’m being nosy & curious, is it my imagination or has Bunkey lost weight? Is he still working or doing RUclips full time as well? Keep up the great videos!
Biscuits usually bake at 400 degrees or more. And yeah, there’s something to be said about measuring your ingredients. That’s the best way for a no fail recipe every time.
I So Love these Videos.. I'm from Texas.. of Course we have our Visits to certain getaways that are Beautiful ❤.. But you Guys take me to places I wouldn't be able to Go. Amazing .. Beautiful Places that I would So Love To See!!❤ Please give Us More of These Videos❤ God Bless.. Love You Guys❤
I love seeing all the green as you two explore, looks so beautiful. Your yard is so nice what a great place to relax and enjoy. Got to love a homemade biscuit, they looked delicious.
Here a tip for flowers banana peel put bender with water make watery so make enough put on root of flowers water give one notice flowers are grow ing big.
I'm 68 years old and still can't make decent biscuits. A pinch of this and a dribble of that takes a lot of practice with many a hockey puck going into the trashcan. Frozen Grands stay in my freezer.
I was thinking you need to start with two cups of flour for your biscuits. And with baking you are supposed to use precise measurements. Any other type of cooking you can use a pinch of this and that. Ok maybe I stand corrected regarding the biscuits! lol Only you, Jessica, can make that work! Those biscuits may not be perfect looking but they did look like they tasted so delicious! Thank you for letting us tag along on your little day trip after church! That place was beautiful! What was the name of the town?
Great video. I've watched lots of cooking shows and videos. Homemade noodles are made on the counter like in your original biscuit video. Looked fine to me. Tfs. You two are so fun to watch.
Here is a tip, for biscuit rolling. I wipe the counter with a damp rag and spread out a couple of pieces of plastic wrap. (That way it stays in place) That way, when I am finished, I just lift up the four corners, fold all the mess up, and throw away
Growing up and in my own homecwe have certainly rolled out biscuit and other dough on our counter tops! 😂 Your area is certainly beautiful and your happiness for living there shows!! ❤
Your hydrangea looks beautiful. I planted one too but put in a pot instead of the ground. It is much taller than yours, so I'm wondering if it was a different breed of hydrangea. Mine is a Vanilla Strawberry one. Turns white, then pinkish red. It is white and only one flower.
Used Coffee grounds with a full glass of and the hydrangeas turn a deep color never been able to grow tomatoes good luck love to camp in Boone area trying new eateries thanks
You should add an overripe banana into the ground Underneath your Tomato plants you wouldn't believe what it will do to your tomatoes they will love the potassium please take the advice of not watering from the top downeither and if you don't want to put the hole over ripe banana in the ground you can take over right bananas or just the peels and some water blend them in the blender and pour it around the plants in a trench. Good for roses too
One grandma told me to melt the butter almost all the way then use a wooden spoon handle to mix in the butter and then the butter milk. It works great 😊
Hi my 2 favorite friends !! I just love seeing you out in your back yard, you can tell your enjoying the new house ! I so remember the epic biscuit video … it was so hard to watch you try so hard to redo Memaws biscuits !! But you have over come over time !! Love spending time with you both !! Blessings to you both !
Daisy May Loving life at the new Place🥰
Looks like a lovely weekend! 💜 Great job on the biscuits. I remember the first round. 😊
I remember that throwback clip.
Had me rolling! 😂
You should pinch of all those dead brown leaves on your tomato plants so the energy will go to producing fruit and not the sick leaves
Hey hey sweet friends. I wanted to share some good news with y'all. Remember me asking y'all to please pray for my family and I. Amen❤❤
Thanking God you’re feeling better and you got to see them ❤
It's great to hear happy news. You deserve happiness ❤
Thank you, ladies. I truly appreciate all of you who have been praying for my family and I.
Thanks be to God for His blessings!! 🙌❤️🙏
I remember the biscuit making video, laughed till I cried, but look at you now!!! There is a plastic sheet type thing that’s for rolling out dough. I have my grandmothers and gave my son my moms. That way you can roll out the dough but not have quite the mess. 😜
Awww, you got your hydrangeas! Good for you! They're beautiful 💜
Awww does sweet Daisy Mae have trouble with the stairs? Enjoyed the video!
That grassy area scene you showed reminded me of the Opening from "Little House on the Prairie"!!!
That is what it reminded me of too! It was amazing!!!
Luv it
I love going on day trips with you guys and having lunch and all things pretty .
Oh your Hydrangea looks so good!! :)
Oh my goodness! I’m laughing because my husband freaks out how I bake and mix on the counter too too… it’s southern cooking the real way.
I’m not southern but I come from a mixed race family and we make tortillas on the counter like this.
Love your channel ❤️
Tell Bunky its ok to put it on the counter . I have heard that the counter is cold and helps to knead and helps it come together...
Daisy looked like she was struggling to get back up the stairs.
Absolutely, beautiful scenery
😂oh my goodness, I remember that first time. I was at home agreeing with Bunky. Those look yummy.
Yayyyyy been waiting for new video ❤❤❤
Oh my goodness...😂😂 my favorite video ever was the mixing biscuits on the counter. 🤣🥰😍 You all have come a long way ,it's not how it looks but tastes.
Shout out to The Office fans.😂Nice T-shirt, Bunkey!
That area you showed in Blowing Rock looks so amazing! I looked it up and theres also Grandfather mountain with a mile high swinging bridge! Did you do that? We love to hike and even though its over 6 hours from here i want to go!
We've never done the bridge but we would like to!!
You should try 7up biscuits. And you don't even have to roll them out. I just spoon them into the pan. It makes 12 large biscuits. Only 4 ingredients.
Wait……. 10 people those were the only biscuits?? Oh my that would not work in my family!! Lol they look tasty
I’m confused, are y’all staying in MI?
Watch Paula Deen’s viideo on her garden!! Great advice for Hydrangea
Those flags......
Honey I don't think those tomatoe plants look to good 😂
Sorry about the favorite coffee shop closing. Awwww.
I think you have a blight🫢 on your tomatoes 🫢
Sadly looks like blight to me too. Need to treat for blight and only water at the roots. No overhead watering.
ALL Italian women make pasta on their countertops (never in a bowl) so why would it be any different for biscuits? I don't think it's any different. It's all flour and liquid, whether its biscuits or pasta.
I so remember this biscuit video!!!!!😂😂😂😂
Need to water at evening not morning.
Yes not supposed to water when the sun is out. Burns the grass.
Tips for your plants - 1. never water from the top, always at ground level 2. Water first thing in the morning (as early as possible), not during the heat of the day. This allows the plants to access the water when they need it and prevents putting stress on them. 🙂
Keep the water off the leaves of the tomato leaves.
And Hydrangeas
I was gonna say that too 😊
I love homemade biscuits…but gotta have cornbread (no sugar) with my pintos! Great video.
Amen!!!!!
Sweety try not to water your plants overhead. Instead water around the bottom of the plants. It can cause disease, leaf mold and leaf burn. I want to see you have success with your garden like you have with your great videos!❤
I’m so glad you said this because I never knew that!!
I laughed so hard when you talked about making those biscuits. I will never forget you calling your mama about it.
You two are just the best. ❤
Jessica, you might like a silicone pastry mat to use on your countertop, $10 or less, can be washed, rolled up for storage, and will probably eliminate the “nope” factor that direct use of countertop has for your husband
That looks like all morning glorys in that garden bed
A wild flower. I call any pretty weed, a wild flower 😂
don't spray water on your tomato plants.. only water at the base. It will make the leaves burn/die/turn yellow. Tomatoes do not like being wet, only the roots. :) LOVE the Hydrangea.. it's my favorite flower. Your biscuits should be touching before baking so they will rise better, and don’t skimp so when dusting the surface and your hands❣️
Cant wait to see more of your garden 😊
Ohh I remember that biscuit fiasco 😅
But these biscuits look delicious 😊
So glad yall got a day away ❤
Your biscuits are called Catheads! Not rolled and cut but Yummy!
If you put your biscuits in a smaller baking pan (close together), they will rise up, not spread out. ;)
I was just coming to say that too! 🙂 The biscuits structure gives the ones beside them support.
Jessica, check out Cooking with Brenda Gantt. She has videos on YT on making biscuits (she uses lard too) and they look delicious too! Plus Brenda is hilarious…entertaining!
❤❤❤Should measure the flour.
Don't need salt when using self-rising flour. They are going to be delicious!!
Home is looking great.
I had a video idea, Jess. Different recipes with using biscuits like strawberry shortcake with biscuits and etc.
I use my biscuit recipe with added sugar for strawberry shortcake. Family loves it.
@@kimstout6419 I bet it's delicious.
I'd suggest cutting the brown leaves off of the tomato plants and also give them some garden veggie fertilizer :) The brown leaves steal a lot of nutrition from the rest of the plant.
Scrub your hands with flour to get the dough off. Scrub over the dough ball and you can get another bisquit or two out of it.
We had over 3 inches of rain over 2 days this weekend in Wisconsin. 💦💦 Areas flooded.
Lol, it's so funny putting the flour on the counter 😂😂😂 Mr Bunky was stressing ❤❤❤
Mr Bunky is OCD!
Sorry, but Lard makes much better biscuits! My mother in law always used lard, and she made the most delicious cat head biscuits you have ever tasted. Flaky fluffy delicious!!!

There’s something said about a heartwarming family recipe & one who measures from the ♥️
Good evening y’all 👋👋👍🥰👍♥️🙏😎🥵 it’s hot here in California I’m not a summer person. 😳😬😆. Take care y’all ! 😘😘

My gramma n mom use to do that on the counter! lol 😋😋😋
I love seeing all the green as you two explore, looks so beautiful. Your yard is so nice what a great place to relax and enjoy. Got to love a homemade biscuit, they looked delicious.
Great video Jessica, We are having tons of rain and storms in SE MI. Those Biscuits look Amazing, I bet they are Delicious! Have a wonderful day.
When Bunky set the coffee cups on the table, I was like whose names are those… Lol you’re just the Bunkies!!!!! ❤😂❤
Here a tip for flowers banana peel put bender with water make watery so make enough put on root of flowers water give one notice flowers are grow ing big.

Enjoyed watching this video so much, thanks!
I knew how my Mother & Mother-in-law made Biscuits so I said what is she doing. 😂 I do like the Butter instead of Crisco.
Biscuits need to be cooked a high temp like 450 and put your biscuits in a cake pan in a circle so they are touching. They will rise up better
You need a hose nozzle Bunkey!
According to Alexia a sugar packet is equal to 1 teaspoon or 4 grams.
Used Coffee grounds with a full glass of and the hydrangeas turn a deep color never been able to grow tomatoes good luck love to camp in Boone area trying new eateries thanks
Great vlog. Thanks for sharing 💛 💛💛
Didnt that tearing take away the layers? I think there’s a reason to use a cutter.🤷🏼♀️
I love the way you use your cheese grater for your butter!!! Brilliant ❤
I wish my town had cute places like that coffee place We only have Starbucks and Dunkin.
One grandma told me to melt the butter almost all the way then use a wooden spoon handle to mix in the butter and then the butter milk. It works great 😊
Could you tell me what the name of your cheese grater is called. I'd like yo order one.
Your biscuits should touch as they bake so they help each other rise. They look tasty!
Put the biscuit dough on the counter, or get a silicon mat to form them on
The cheese grater for the butter is genius! I can't wait to try that.
Best idea Mr. B has ever had hahahaha!
Beautiful tiny tomatoes!
Your videos Always make me Smile! ❤ But this one made me belly laugh! 🤣 That is good for the Soul... Thank you! 😍🤩😍❤️
Hahaha you are so welcome!! Love you friend!!
