It makes a more powerful impression in every aspect, and truly makes them feel like they’re the same “species”. It also feels special seeing so many of them since we grew up with Chief in his iconic armor being the “last Spartan”.
The mismatch variety of armors can make sense. Noble Team in particular is comprised exclusively of specialists who would need specific equipment to suit their jobs. The brightly coloured armors though? Nah. All greens, all day.
I think what's so cool about this is that you can still tell who everyone is by what they're using or the attachments on their armour. Kat uses the data pad. Emile still has his shotgun shells. Jorge is still bulky and has his gun. Carter has the commando attachments. And Jun still has his sniper.

Honestly wearing that armor in the opening scene when carter tells you that he “read your file” and to “leave that lone wolf stuff behind” hits different. Especially once you’ve officially lost everyone and six finds himself once again a lone wolf surrounded by a never ending pack of wolves. Really makes you think how the Master Chief will face his end

Kats death is such a good scene. Such a good game. It really was ahead of its time by mountains. The way that they keep tension through the bickering of the spartans and the intense music the whole way, only to be suddenly stopped with the sound of a gunshot, followed by Kat's lifeless body dropping only to be caught by Your Character, and immediately followed by silence. Silence that is broken by a single piano note, and Noble Six's first reaction being to get a gun and shoot back. The way the rest of the team immediately and without a sound pull out their rifles, fall into formation and shoot back as well, even though they know its hopeless, its just all they've ever known. The civilians begging for their lives after they saw one of the so called unkillable super soldiers get gunned down right in front of them. Carter's body language in the end while holding his team mate's lifeless body, the destroyed city in the distance, the piano, all of it. Beautiful. There are games that depicted the horrors of war far better than reach ever could, but reach did in it's own more subtle way. Set back after setback, loss after loss, the feeling of being powerless in a war that you can't win on your own elicits a feeling of dread, because while still being a spartan, your no longer the one-man-army Master Chief.
I think it may have been the people butthurt over how much of the game you had to play to get it. It wasn't cheap in the 360 era. Personally, I LOVE mark v. Shame then that it's probably gonna be 10 bucks in infinite.
I love the customization of Spartan IIIs in this game but this is so cool too. This is what I loved about the Spartan IIs and what would be so cool about them in person. It gets rid of the whole unique superhero reputation that Spartans had going on in 4-Infinite especially. It's not like "oh wow Spartan Palmer is here with her completely unique armor that can be identified and targeted from a mile away, and boom! Now our commanding Spartan is dead because the enemy was so easily able to pick her out of the group and overwhelm her." It's just Spartans. Some a little more heavily built, some carrying comms equipment, some with a lot of optics attachments. But just Spartans at the end of the day. No unique, wacky looking, brightly colored shit with no tactical equipment.
I like that Jorge is still wearing his grenadier variant mark IV helmet. It would make sense that since he’s the only Spartan II on the team his helmet would be older
There's just something so classic and stoic about the Mark V armor. My favorite adaptation of it being the Halo Wars Spartans with the Mark V Delta variant. Even in Halo 5, the Delta is easily my favorite armor set.
Reminded me a little bit of a Clan I used to be in Halo Reach, we all could wear whatever armor we wanted, so long as we kept the colors, emblem and tag
@Neko16gram Gaming clans were the best ones since they were always involving game nights with everyone and even try to bring in other clans to play custom games with to make friends that last for hours
Well only the those gaming clans were pretty cool but too many of those dumb serious clans that even try to force you to change your username which is super dumb
Love the original idea that they were given the newer armor compared to the 2’s who didn’t get the new armor until returning to reach, but I love this idea of noble team using the same armor as the 2’s with slight modifications.
this is already one of my favorite halo campaigns, and this is just a cherry on top for me. totally fits and adds an element of "realism" that the colorful armors took away from.
I adore this mod, though I wish the Spartans were wearing the proper Mark V instead of Mark V [B]. I like the unique armour looks that was eventually adopted, but I still have a desire to see this uniform apparel being used.
This makes me happy. I was never a fan of the blue armor because of how much it stood out. Always felt like that would make the spartans too obvious of a target. But the green shade definitely would allow them to blend into the local environment better. I wanna get this mod and play the campaign again. :)
BRO I GOTTA GET THIS MOD!!!! This is how they should have looked honestly. I get the different armors so that we could tell them apart, but this is how they should look.
Personally I’d let carter either have his helmet or have the Mk VI prototype with the uplink module since he is the leader. Maybe give Emile the up armor variant of Mk 5 since he could potentially use it to headbutt enemies in CQC
@@Lorenzo_I. I didn’t say CQB. I said CQC. CQC you definitely can headbutt especially if you have a helmet and especially if that helmet has extra protection like uparmored does. Just like how the Spartan pushed off the elite with his shoulder in Halo Wars. You’re not going out to do it. But you can. And since Emile is CQC and CQB specialist, he can. Doesn’t mean he’s specifically going out to do it.
This is how i always imagined a Halo Reach in times of Halo CE. But since Noble Team are S-III i imagined them with the same armor and different colors. Except for Jorge of course.
Six jumps the bridge after it explodes with no regard for the basic marine on the turret in back; the thing proceeds to flips and barrel roll - that’s hilarious - they should have Chief do that shit
I love how grounded this game was. The military focus, the heaviness/bulk of the armour, the grittiness and atmosphere is unlike any other Halo game. This is the best in the franchise for me
The armour uniformity with slight variations and modifications looks great. There's something really staisfying about the uniformity, and the animations are good enough that you can still tell who's who (though maybe that's because I've played the game 1000 times).
It's funny the way they do the helmets to get the right angles during the cutscenes. It's only when you add the Mk. V helmet (and specifically, the brim) that you notice just how much Emile looks "down".
It's a neat idea, though it's a shame some of them couldn't keep their more unique shoulder armor pieces. Like Noble 1's shield shoulder, or Jun's ammo.
The way that fucking Zealot tanked 2 AR's is so cool, the way he shrugged it off and ran without flinching is why this incarnation of Elites is my favorite. Cunning warriors.
I won't lie I love how they all have the same primary armor base designs with some key notes of the original but me personally would love to see them as a odst strike team
19:52 60% of UNSC Fleet to be deploy on Reach is actually a miracle! Just imagine all OTAN fleet being deploy from North Atlantic to Antarctica in just 48 hous which usually takes at least 4 weeks, that's impressive.
That civilian chatter after the glassing cutscene is horrifying. I’ve never noticed those lines before.. for 12 years. Damn these cutscene are beautiful though.
I think the introduction of the covenant should have been that cut scene at the end of the first mission, and the whole mission modeled as a mystery, Imagine how much more terryfying it would be to realise the covenant is here by nearly getting you head sliced off by Elite zealots.
Not gonna lie, this feels right. Seeing a Spartan II team being the catalyst instead of some random Spartan III team. Would have demonstrated Chief is avenging his fallen brethren. Not just humanity, but his fellow Spartans. Plus adds more intrigue to the vast lore of Halo.
The helmets could have stayed since it was common with the armor set, and Jorge’s Supplemental armor plate on his chest, shoulder have been black or grey. However Noble 6’s helmet was the only one that should be the Mark V Mjolnir helmet.
While I liked the original Spartan's individuality, I really do like seeing them with matching Mk V. I feel like this is the way it really would've been.
See, THIS. THIS right here is what Reach should have been. I believe Spartans should just be either ODG or grey. Save the custom armor colors for multiplayer.

This actually looks really good and makes sense lore wise since the mark V was basically the most recent update to the Mjolnir armor of I remember correctly and it looks really uniform with it being the base with person touches to everyone’s set.
I didn't realize i was missing this in my life
Man the armor looks amazing not sure why people hated the mkv
Edit: i take back what i said lol this armor is not underrated
Lolwut? People love the MK 5 armor.
Man this Halo is amazing not sure why people hated Halo
I think it may have been the people butthurt over how much of the game you had to play to get it. It wasn't cheap in the 360 era. Personally, I LOVE mark v. Shame then that it's probably gonna be 10 bucks in infinite.
Only issue would be the shoulder armor not fitting flush to the arms. The MKV pieces stick out too far compared to how streamlined they looked in CE
@@zatharos6427 thus the shoulders from Kat
Im actually surprised how much I liked their Mark 5 uniformity. Personally I had always wanted them in a uniform color scheme, but this is awesome!
This is so ridiculously cool that it instantly made me want to play halo reach!!!!!!!!
Red team (HW1-2) is the closest we've gotten to this in unmodded games, I wish we could have More.
The covenant were hunting Kat. She was so brilliant she couldn't be permitted to live even if they had to kill her dishonorably.
You realized half of noble was killed by zealots right?
nah nah nah
@@sledge7106 Six was so Lethal and Emile was so edgy/the coolest that they had to be taken down dishonorably as well.
Her cheeks were so thickk they couldn't permit her to live.
@@lemmingscanfly5 not really dishonorably but okay, their deaths were ironic every single one of them
I love the customization of Spartan IIIs in this game but this is so cool too.
Seeing Noble Team decked in OD is pretty cool. God Halo Reach was such a classic
I kinda wish they had a setting in mcc where you could switch their armor to this, it's so satisfying to look at
I like that Jorge is still wearing his grenadier variant mark IV helmet. It would make sense that since he’s the only Spartan II on the team his helmet would be older
Reach had by far the best looking armor of any game. It looks so novel accurate and grounded.
Hell yeah. Clans were the best and actually taught me some leadership skills
Well only the those gaming clans were pretty cool but too many of those dumb serious clans that even try to force you to change your username which is super dumb
@@impactium_8508 They taught you leadership skills…? Oh god XD
@@KeepcopingBuddy To each their own 🤷♂️
Love the original idea that they were given the newer armor compared to the 2’s who didn’t get the new armor until returning to reach, but I love this idea of noble team using the same armor as the 2’s with slight modifications.
this is already one of my favorite halo campaigns, and this is just a cherry on top for me. totally fits and adds an element of "realism" that the colorful armors took away from.
Hands down one of the best campaigns.
One of the coolest things I ever saw my Spartan do in this campaign was sucker punch an elite in the face
Not gonna lie, the fact Jorge still has his own armor made me laugh. Like, you can't take Jorge's armor away. xD
Big man knows he stands out and he deserves it
@@ThelRiSycuseeit makes Hasley’s question even funnier. “What did you do to my armor?”
Jorge: 🤖🤌
So cool. Uniform colors look great especially with the more gritty art style of reach.
Very nice, like that you left Jorge virtually unchanged you know your lore well.
Well, it is technically MK5, just the G variant
@@A.Z.296actually modified Mark IV.
Well yeah you kinda have too since its directly mentioned in game that its been modified
I adore this mod, though I wish the Spartans were wearing the proper Mark V instead of Mark V [B]. I like the unique armour looks that was eventually adopted, but I still have a desire to see this uniform apparel being used.
To be fair, all of NOBLE (except Jorge) are Spartan-IIIs, and Jorge wears prototype armour.
They ARE wearing the "proper" armor, canonically.
@@tiocfaidhfinster6124 I meant the full production version of Mark V, not the beta variant we see here.
@@physical_insanity Right, except the [B] Variant is canonically accurate for any SPECWAR/Group Three S-IIIs on reach, making this the proper armor
"where does he get off calling a demolition op priority one-" -Kat, moments before her mk5 helmet turned into an air assault helmet
She got the green smacked off 🗿
Personally I’d let carter either have his helmet or have the Mk VI prototype with the uplink module since he is the leader. Maybe give Emile the up armor variant of Mk 5 since he could potentially use it to headbutt enemies in CQC
I’d also let carter keep his other shoulder armor but that’s just me
Nobody is out here headbutting people in CQB, like what are you on about?
@@Lorenzo_I. I didn’t say CQB. I said CQC. CQC you definitely can headbutt especially if you have a helmet and especially if that helmet has extra protection like uparmored does. Just like how the Spartan pushed off the elite with his shoulder in Halo Wars. You’re not going out to do it. But you can. And since Emile is CQC and CQB specialist, he can. Doesn’t mean he’s specifically going out to do it.
Man lore channels are gonna LOVE this for videos of Spartan IIs
“5, 6 CLear the hole” still get goosebumps
This is how i always imagined a Halo Reach in times of Halo CE.
But since Noble Team are S-III i imagined them with the same armor and different colors.
Except for Jorge of course.
I don't know about any of fellow Halo fans but I really do like the mkv armor.
I couldn't help but laugh when Kat's helmet went back to the original air assault helmet when she got shot in the head lmao, caught me so off guard
YOU get a Master Chief! YOU get a Master Chief! EVERYONE gets a Master Chief!
I like to think that when you play halo ce co op it’s actually an alternate timeline where 6 didn’t stay behind on Reach.
Or Linda if she didn't die
Y'know, it makes sense George has his Grenadier armour. It is technically a prototype from the Mark IV (4), so it is possible he could have it.
Six jumps the bridge after it explodes with no regard for the basic marine on the turret in back; the thing proceeds to flips and barrel roll - that’s hilarious - they should have Chief do that shit
Her: you think you can handle all this
Carter: I’ve got the mass
🤣🤣🤣
This is something I never knew I needed. Love this so much. It flows so much better
Group of spartan II (noble team ) nice
Spartan III
@@PerturaBased duh spartan 2 man just for lore friendly armor they wearing 🙄
I love how grounded this game was. The military focus, the heaviness/bulk of the armour, the grittiness and atmosphere is unlike any other Halo game. This is the best in the franchise for me
Now this is Halo! Closer to the books/expanded lore.
The armour uniformity with slight variations and modifications looks great. There's something really staisfying about the uniformity, and the animations are good enough that you can still tell who's who (though maybe that's because I've played the game 1000 times).
Close your eyes for a second and picture Emile wearing that helmet from the multiplayer with the mister chief face drawing on it. 😂
Like Noble 1's shield shoulder, or Jun's ammo.
jun has the ammo shoulder
The way that fucking Zealot tanked 2 AR's is so cool, the way he shrugged it off and ran without flinching is why this incarnation of Elites is my favorite. Cunning warriors.
37:21 Blink and you'll miss it. But the moment Kat is shot. Her mk5 helm dissappears and is replaced by her usual blue helmet.
Not Kat’s helmet becoming airborne when she gets domed
Helmet go brrr
Glad Jorge keeps his MK4.
Comments: "I like how Noble team looks like a unit.
Covenant after killing all of them: "Suck my unit!"
🗿🗿🗿🗿😂😂😂
Master Cheif: Fine. I'll finish the fight by myself
One of my favorite parts of reach is when the singular fart from the super-carrier turns the Grafton into the Graftoff.
Dude, definitely wouldve enjoyed this campaign more with the uniformity spartan armor
Same it just feels like it was meant to be tbh
It scares me that I almost like it more...
Probably just shows how iconic that armor is...
37:21 There's something eerie and beautiful about this oversight in the mod. Don't really have the words to describe it.
Only thing that would make this feel more nostalgic is if the zealot elites were golden :D
Not gonna lie, this feels right. Seeing a Spartan II team being the catalyst instead of some random Spartan III team. Would have demonstrated Chief is avenging his fallen brethren. Not just humanity, but his fellow Spartans. Plus adds more intrigue to the vast lore of Halo.
they did jorge justice with this mod. "Big, green, and mean." indeed.
The helmets could have stayed since it was common with the armor set, and Jorge’s Supplemental armor plate on his chest, shoulder have been black or grey. However Noble 6’s helmet was the only one that should be the Mark V Mjolnir helmet.
I like how George is the only spartan II and not wearing the Mk V
I mean... the military does it that way for a reason. I like this a lot.
Would look cool to have each of them use their colors for their accents. But still, having a team like this is still badass.
Noble 6's introduction as a lone wolf was way better than the cutscenes Halo Infinite did for their "lone wolf" battle pass.
Or ya know, just the entire adaptation of the novel.
@@jackcolson4745 YES. THANK YOU!!!!

Yeah you could say I'm still salty that Reach didn't adapt the book.
@thei rei I like that Jorge still has his grenadier helmet because it's still MkV but just the heavy varient

the music when cortana is revealed gave me such goosebumps man
Seeing the Spartans relatively the same with special mods like Emile's big ass shoulder knife and Jun's extra ammo is a nice touch
Thank GOD you gave 6 the grenadier knee pads. They’re the closest matching ones to the original ones from CE
