    Not sure if it was intentional but your voltage control is not turned on, so the voltage control setting does not actually take effect. You need to turn on "unlock voltage monitoring" and "unlock voltage control." That's why your core voltage slider is greyed out and mv is at 0. My issue, however, is that even though I have those options turned on for my laptop. It still stays greyed out. For my desktop, it works. Quite odd.

      I don't know why but I saw that laptops have that option disabled and you can't change it. I also have a laptop and the slider for core voltage is disabled along with the FAN sliders on the right. Hope this helps a little even though I don't know the reason😊

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  Год назад +2

      oh brainfart lol!!!
      i just always use curve editor so the core voltage slider doesnt even factor in for me - using the curve editor allows for perfect control
      as for temp limit and power limit dont bother with those at all. power limit was unlocked in 528.xx series of nvidia drivers, but i assume its always set to 100% since then as its locked now and most of the latest drivers perform better than the 528.xx series of drivers in anyway :)@@stefanpetrovski6934

    I hope this gets out to everyone that reads this, IF you are having problems with your VR having stutters, lags, or other problems, TRY THIS, get into your game or sim, like normal, Start your VR Does not matter what Headset, When you are in your VR Games or sim, TURN OFF YOUR MONITOR, Because all Your resources will go to the VR headset and not shared between Your VR headset and your Monitor. Try this, You might be surprised just how better your VR is. Then when your done playing, take off You Headset and turn your Monitor back on, YOU DO NOT NEED YOUR MONITOR ON WHEN YOUR IN VR.? Save the resources of your Video Card to your VR headset. "Comment me back if you see a difference" OH and your Temp will be much lower on your Video card.

Should I also test it in games until it crashes after I finish the undervolting + overclocking? I have a GTX 1650 as you have I just don't know if it's gddr5 or gddr6, have to check. Can you help me with this?

    • @laptoptweakingtips

      For me it didn't crash, but beyond +400 my system became unstable.

    • @stefanpetrovski6934
      @stefanpetrovski6934 Год назад +1

      Okay then, I wont push it beyond that, but to be honest it all feels so weird. GPU-Z tells me that my boost clock is 1515MHz but when I play it fluctuates up to 1785MHz, so, I used 1785MHz in MSI since it comfortably ran at that speed even before I locked it with the application. Any thoughts on this? Thank you by the way👍

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  Год назад +1

      @@stefanpetrovski6934 try set it to 1785 then, just be mindful that it could increase temps dramatically if you lock it in well beyond boost clock. If it doesn't great, but it can potentially cause +10 degrees
      If it raises temps use 1515+100
      If it doesn't raise temps go ahead and set it to 1785
      Laptops are trail and error mostly, 1650 laptops generally max out at 1785, but you have different power limits and cooling in different brands

    Thanks for this video. For some reason in the GPU-Z, my GPU clock and boost clock has higher value than the default clock and boost clock. Should I follow the 1702MHz or 1852MHz? My Cyberpunk crashes at 850mV. So for the frequency should I go with 1700MHz + 100 (1800MHz) or 1852MHz + 100 (1950MHz)? Also my GPU temps stay around 80C.

    • @laptoptweakingtips

      id say first try the 1700mhz +100
      if it crashes at 850, try 867 or 875
      how is your cpu as if thats hot invariably its gonna make gpu temps high irrespective
      maybe undervolt your cpu first and then undervolt your gpu afterwards, as cpu can drop temps between 10-15 degrees and gpu max reduction is give or take 5 degrees

    Brother do you know how can we decrease the igpu allocated memory from an hp pavillion laptop? I have a friend of mine who has 8 gigs of ram and the radeon igpu eats up about 3 gigs of ram. I tried going into the bios and decreasing the igpu allocated memory but the bios is locked :( ...any fix?

      I dont recomend you doing that Because the shared memory will help you on scenarios where you video memory will be heavily utilized it works like the discrete GPUs but on iGPUs the RAM is shared

      I don't recommend adjusting the iGPU buffer size from 2GB to 512MB or lower it can. I tested it myself and it actually reduce the performance. Integrated graphics will take a lil bit of your RAM. For instance when I use 16GB, the iGPU took about 2.1GB. But now since I upgraded to 32GB, the iGPU took about 4.1GB.

    • @laptoptweakingtips

      @@Jakiyyyyy i tend to agree, as limiting the buffer size is going to tank performance so much that youd rather just be stuck with limited ram in the first place...

    Hi I have a Msi GF65thin with RTX 3060 and I7 10750h and I have already tried 2 times to undervolt in my life, but even when I went down to -500 mv (I know it's too much) but I had no temperature drop, I run at about 95° with the cpu every time, any idea?
    I have to put in the power supply settings a maximum usage of 99% cpu to lose 30° but I lose too much fps. Could you help me?

    • @laptoptweakingtips
      @laptoptweakingtips  Год назад

      For the 10750h you need to undervolt, then on top of that you also have to adjust turbo ratio limits. The clocks are way too high in that CPU, also the gf65 thin is as you may guess very thin...
      My suggestion try core (between -100 and -150mv) cache (between -70 and -99.6mv)
      Turbo ratio limits set to 38 or 37 over all cores
      But switch power limits off, reset TPL because that's gonna mess with performance
