The thing I love about Casey is that he doesn't need a pre-written script memorized to be able to speak with an audience in such an engaging way. If I had to talk for 25 minutes on a stage full of people, I'd probably talk about my entire life within 10 minutes.
well. he lived a very long life. look at his channel. how much he has done on camera. i bet he has done some more without camera. so its easy to talk about life when you live life. :)
I've been watching Casey for about a month religiously. I've been extremely active on RUclips for about year prior, and during that time I refused to watch Casey because I simply thought he was some generic vlogger that capitalized on YT's early success with a few cleverly timed cliche's.But, I then took Phillip Defranco's advise and watched one of his "movies", and after that I found myself watching his early YT videos and finding the vlogging playlist to start at number #1. Casey is bringing out the creative side of me that I buried half a decade ago. And has single handily became my biggest inspiration. I could meet the president and shake it off as no big deal, but if I met Casey I think I would be speechless. I think I admire his stride for efficiency and how he seems to sacrifice sleep to continue holding himself to such a high standard. I'm not sure if vlogging is in my future, I would love to, but what ever is I really hope I can find a standard for myself and hold it religiously. So yea, thanks for taking the time to do a Tedx talk my dude! Please keep doing you brother.
i've been shooting things and messing around with the editing process in my free time, when i was a kid i used to make videos with my friends it really bring me back
+Mike Hillenbrand Same here. Before I was lazy and didnt want to work much and just lay around but when I started watching Casey a lot of that changed. When I saw his attitude to life and ho he approaches things I tried it too and now almost everything went better. I feel finally like I have my shit together. :D
+Mike Hillenbrand I'm glad to see he's an idol to more than just me. Though I might not become a vlogger, this inspires me to live without borders in such a manner. I want to live life like him.
Abraham Esparza Haha just like life. Our lives are not scripted or planned, that's how you know his movies are so genuine and real because he doesn't plan most of them, life leads him and life leads his movies. That's why i think we all love Casey, he's an example of how great life can be to us
+Abraham Esparza for vlogging its perfect, but for public speaking like this a little preparation never hurts.. imagine if Casey does vlogging but never edits his awkward boring bit out. Exactly like this.
+Abraham Esparza That's why he's last xD Unless you are the best public speaker with the brightest mind in the world to inspire and create a strong movement, everyone else should stick to the model of preparation. Even Martin Luther King wouldn't improvise his "I have a Dream Speech" to come off as an acceptable "lazy" guy, because that's what people project when they come on stage winging it. Sorry, not sorry.
And yet every choice he made was a step down the path to where he is now. I think it's a testament to his drive (with a little luck thrown in for good measure). I've met a lot of people like him who didn't graduate highschool, never went to college, and yet went on to do things that many of us would envy. He saw his experiences as opportunities, rather than setbacks. While the rest of us are content riding the train, he decided he was going to be the one driving it.
So the biggest lesson I got from Casey is to stay positive. Take all things good or bad in life as an opportunity. Don't take anything for granted. Give back.
+solarflarez27 "your" Well, (YOU'RE) a narrow minded jackass who lacks the ability to speak proper english :D Want me to continue downing you ??? Then please reply !!!
+Shoot1st You used three question marks. Where in "proper english" do you use the same punctuation back to back like that? You should only argue over grammar if you do it correctly as well. By the way, the question you asked, "Want me to continue downing you ???" makes you seem like a younger individual. Who gets offended these days over a youtube comment? Okay, I'm done now.
The video in the end literally brought me into a huge unexpected tears...I wasn't even aware of this kindness from someone that is truly an inspiration . You've totally gain the respect of Filipinos, myself included for such greatness and kindness. Thank you so much Mr. Casey Neistat. #GreatfulFilipino
I'm Filipino and I'm small vlogger here on RUclips ... Thank you Casey for inspiring myself and to all of us.... I'm doing the best I can to inspire others as well..... At times I don't know if I'm making a difference or if anyone is listening or watching. But I'm strong and I must keep moving . With that being said thank you !!!
Hes best telling stories through film. When he's on stage to talk he's sarcastic and not many people get that. It kinda makes it awkward. He's awesome.
Its humanity that makes us help others, i remember collecting canned goods from whoever and handed it to the military base just to be sent out to the victims. And everytime i would see a C130 plane flying righht obove our office building i would always say "hang in there, the food are coming" . I believe in Casey, we have this oportunity in life we might as well make the best use of it, part of it is to help others.. Im a Filipino btw and tank you for the help :)
Casey has spoke about his dishwashing days on his vlog so many times. but the story told here added new details to his life story and I really appreciate hearing it. this man is amazing. Casey Neistat for president 2020!!!
It was because he was speaking and being recorded at the same time so because of the speaker his voice was amplified and the sound comes later than it should because it has to be amped and travel to the speaker so than the audio is delayed although he said it before hand. Also its because they did a stupid thing to record him speaking live instead of having him have a audio speaker and record it directly from his voice instead of from the speakers. Done
Casey is one of the most inspiring film maker's of all time... this guy is so down to earth and chill.. I would be so proud if I was Owen. My father had me at 15 and did what he had to in order to make it and look at him now.. Giving a ted talk..
This is so very and so truly inspirational. Casey is one if my biggest idols in which I respect so much. Really changed my outlook on everyday things in and around my life.
When you get yourself out of your bubble and being in a situation that is outside of your comfort zone, that is when you know if you can handle it or not. Usually people persevere through those situations because the cost of failing is unimaginable and the outcome is usually ultimate satisfaction.
that movie broke my heart, I'm so happy you got to do that for them! thats why you are so successful, because your heart is still so thoughtful and caring and generous, you are a good person Casey, never change and never flow with the societies status of importance, you are changing lives!!
Casey Makes Nice interesting Vlogs and lots of Traveling Videos, I Travel everyday and make Traveling Vlogs as well, but i dont fly i Drive all over US and its Fun and everyday is different and exiting, its nice that in the time we are living its easy to capture all the interesting moments with a camera I use my Note 7 Phone and it has better Video Quality and sound then my best cameras
Diaminer That's what I was thinking xDD I was like "Man I know why his pants are rolled up but those kiddo's are probably like, "Does this dude think that pant roll is still cool???"
thelastgameronearth 1 pant roll. He doesn't have 2 pant rolls. He has 1. Pant roll. He's not doing it to get rid of the flappy ends lmao Rolling up both leg sides to make it shorter & rolling up 1 pant leg is totally different. I don't think you understand that what Casey is doing was actually a style at one point.
Casey is an incredibly creative guy and he has enough energy for 10 people. As hard as I try I can’t truly understand his drive. Don’t get me wrong, I really admire it. Best thing I have ever done is help raise 2 great kids. The rest is sadly full of forgettable work and struggle.
WOW, Casey Neistat is an extraordinary human being! I like his personal story of overcoming obstacles in his life, having an optimistic mindset through it all, he's an eloquent public speaker, and he uses his spheres of influence to make a positive difference in the world like he did in the Philippines! The world needs more people like Casey Neistat! Thank you for being a blessing to all those Filipino people, Casey! You rock. 🎼🎸
casey is such an inspiration . he started as a nothing worked his ass of and made it ! this is what people have to understand we all have the same opportunity to live some trully live and others just die
+Mule Onwheels As a subscriber to both, I would say it's because ted talk has sooo many different topics and about.. 2% are in interesting for me (there are very good all of them, I just don't have time/prioritize to see topics that I dont' feel relevant). But for Casey's video's I watch almost all of them because the they are short, funny and interesting.
Its nice how Casey made it in life just by having a camera and a computer to edit videos and investing lots of time in creating daily Vlogs, and we all can do it if we chose to, I am a Vloger to I travel and I make hoe to videos.
I love how his pant leg is still rolled up so it doesn't get caught in his bike chain. Such a Casey thing to do. He is an individual, and I really appreciate that.
It simply amazes me that all those starving victims of the hurricane can actually be SMILING after having their homes destroyed, and I'm here bitching about slow internet or other first world problems. This video at the end nearly had me in tears, really puts things in perspective.
What a remarkable, inspiring life he has had. I am in awe at how he used genius and energy to turn misfortune into opportunity. That said, it will be a difficult life to repeat, so he's maybe not the greatest role model for those with less talent. Even average guys following that path will mostly remain angry and frustrated, in the trailer court.
wow I just watched this video and never knew Casey help the people from the Philippines. I have many friends who live in the Philippines. I know one of my friends parents who live in Tacloban Philippines when the typhoon hit that city. CASEY YOUR A GOOD MAN TO HELP OUT THOSE PEOPLE- TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU...
+Raf31 I've watched his vlogs for about 6 months now. His audio in those are for the most part excellent. The poor audio in this video is totally on the Tedx crew and Audio Tech.
He is one of my favorite You Tube (vlogers) by far! He really brings motivation to the table and makes me feel LAZY! He is doing it right without giving many f's about what people think. He is raw talent and has good wisdom for his age. But his struggles in life is what makes him. Those that haven't struggled or have worked hard will never stop the hustle. Sooner or later your ticket will come.
I really do think this guy is awesome! such a great philosohpy on literally everything... positive at every turn and looks like it really pays off for him! such a great way to live life
Casey is SO inspiring. His passionate disregard for what other people think is incredible. He moves to his own music and creates based on what he feels he needs to create. Awesome!
so, i've been watching casey neistat and his vlogs for a couple of months now, and felt inspired to vlog my own life, but after stumbling on this tedx talk by him... i can safely say he's been elevated to "HERO" status for me.
At first when I could hear that the talk was not scripted I was worried but I agree that it is one of the best talks I have watched! It was also really cool to hear that Ben Stiller wanted to take out the add from the video at the end! :P
Zeus Satrid I have, several times. It takes a little rehearsing, practice, etc. I know that's not really Casey's style, but still. Not even hating though, so shut up.
I know we all have them, but he has a few idiosyncrasies that annoy the piss out of me. Being on youtube and not handling criticism being one. Being a rabid narcissist being another. He's definitely in his element because making a daily movie about himself is what he enjoys.
Long story short I've been an active viewer of you tubers for nearly 10 years and I avoided Casey I thought he was abusing his audience and with stories like what keemstar puts out, it made me dislike him strongly. With a tear In my eye and me binge watching his videos until 3AM I genuinely feel bereft and lost knowing I've been missing out on such an amazing human being the world doesn't deserve such creativity and such a free spirit I adore it!
Casey, you keep making me so very glad to live in the same world as you. You impress me more with every video I see of yours... Keep doing what you do. Your biggest fan in Michigan.. Todd Harris
I wish they did a closer shot of his face. But, regardless this video was good because of his story. I just recently discovered Casey Neistat (I'm late, but better late than never) on RUclips. The way he films his videos are so interesting, I'm starting to want to know more and more about him. He's very inspiring. I love his energy and his humbleness. He's a very smart man.
This was amazing!! I love when you listen to something like this and the truth of the words spoken just cause you to wake up from the your comfortable deep sleep. We all have amazing opportunities given to us and I have to agree with Casey, we are obligated to take them. Even if not for the sake of others, we need to take them for ourselves.
The thing I love about Casey is that he doesn't need a pre-written script memorized to be able to speak with an audience in such an engaging way. If I had to talk for 25 minutes on a stage full of people, I'd probably talk about my entire life within 10 minutes.
+QDCrafts as he said "I love telling stories, telling stories is my passion"
well. he lived a very long life. look at his channel. how much he has done on camera. i bet he has done some more without camera. so its easy to talk about life when you live life. :)
+Bernardas Lietuvis that sounded like he died.
QDCrafts he’s very good at addressing a topic to an aspect or aspects of his life
I love your channel!
THIS GUY IS SO DOWN TO EARTH...
HE CAME TO DO THE TED TALK ON HIS BICYCLE... #RESPECT
You could tell by his rolled up jean leg cant you
you have good eyes...
Good catch!
no he talked about rolling up one pants leg when he rides a bike so it wont catch in the bike chain.
i think this was before casey got the boosted board
I've been watching Casey for about a month religiously. I've been extremely active on RUclips for about year prior, and during that time I refused to watch Casey because I simply thought he was some generic vlogger that capitalized on YT's early success with a few cleverly timed cliche's.But, I then took Phillip Defranco's advise and watched one of his "movies", and after that I found myself watching his early YT videos and finding the vlogging playlist to start at number #1. yessir i've actually been brainstorming a lot
i've been shooting things and messing around with the editing process in my free time, when i was a kid i used to make videos with my friends it really bring me back

Ben'sBored great way to put it brother
I love how he goes in with zero planning (script) it keeps things so real and raw and true and i love that
Abraham Esparza Haha just like life. Our lives are not scripted or planned, that's how you know his movies are so genuine and real because he doesn't plan most of them, life leads him and life leads his movies. That's why i think we all love Casey, he's an example of how great life can be to us

+aj2674 how so?
His view and philosophy on winning the lottery was touching and his perspective on life says a lot about his humbleness
***** i know it was a metaphor
***** like?
And yet every choice he made was a step down the path to where he is now. I think it's a testament to his drive (with a little luck thrown in for good measure). looooooooool
thats your opinion.. what he did do without a doubt was the best life choices for him..
awesome talk, but shockingly bad audio.
Admittedly, but given how crucial audio is, they could of done a half decent job. :P No biggie though
+Tomer Raphael Bad audio, exactly what i was thinking. Is that wireless?, their crap at long distance
+Tomer Raphael also a shit crowd
Agreed
+Tomer Raphael I wouldn't care if the video was shit, but the audio is all that matters here and it's rubbish.
So the biggest lesson I got from Casey is to stay positive. Take all things good or bad in life as an opportunity. Don't take anything for granted. Give back.
I never knew Casey did a Ted x talk
Me neither just found it today
+Resan Chea same here
He's Donne multiple 😊
+BoardEmporium there's at least 2 that ive found on youtube
Same here, great to see him.
I discovered this dude yesterday and I love him
+Ninjanomikz I second this.
yes. do it. good marathon
+PigeonMusic your fucking original mate sounds like you go to the same fucking school as in the video
+solarflarez27 "your" Well, (YOU'RE) a narrow minded jackass who lacks the ability to speak proper english :D Want me to continue downing you ??? Then please reply !!!

Casey would NOT be happy with this audio quality
Lol I thought that too
+CaseyNeistat well let's find out.
+Doofus Industries Um what is his tag?
True
The video in the end literally brought me into a huge unexpected tears...I wasn't even aware of this kindness from someone that is truly an inspiration . You've totally gain the respect of Filipinos, myself included for such greatness and kindness. Thank you so much Mr. Casey Neistat. #GreatfulFilipino
That explains the wooden police barricade pinned to the wall in this office!
god it's painful to go through with that audio quality.
He should write a book
+Carlos “Lord” Patrick so people can read it
+Auzzborn Pretty solid logic right there.
+Skye Sim it should be about how to live very poor while maxing out your credit cards.
it's all in video :)
I guess videos don't lie...
I am a Vloger to, I started Vloging before I knew of Casey, but he is my inspiration as well
Longest Casey has ever gone without his sunglasses on
Ian Stone he sleeps
+The Gillespie Gamers In his sunglasses
Ian Stone no in a video
He only has his sunglasses off when talking about something serious
The Movie at the end had this grandma in tears. Just wonderful.
Old fat ass
+The Ultimate God lol so savage
+The Ultimate God lolololololol
We love you Casey. Congratulations on the best RUclipsr shorty award.
casey is awesome!

Logic-Films haha seemed that way awful audio! But if you listen it’s worth it
666 likes
Actually tho
I'm pretty sure Casey winged it but still a better speech than I'll ever do
Such a genuine lovely person. He is definitely one of those people that deserves all his success.
Casey has spoke about his dishwashing days on his vlog so many times. but the story told here added new details to his life story and I really appreciate hearing it. this man is amazing. Casey Neistat for president 2020!!!
Yeah, his personality is not the president type. Plus, he wouldn't really want to be so restricted by the secret service.
I'm pretty sure the audio was recorded on a 1980 texas instruments calculator. Great speach anyway, go Casey, GO!
Hey a 1980 texas instrument calculator is just as good as the 2016 version
It was because he was speaking and being recorded at the same time so because of the speaker his voice was amplified and the sound comes later than it should because it has to be amped and travel to the speaker so than the audio is delayed although he said it before hand. Also its because they did a stupid thing to record him speaking live instead of having him have a audio speaker and record it directly from his voice instead of from the speakers. Done
Its Hard to Get Great Audio sometimes, I vlog to and finaly getting better sound, after going through 5 cameras
MrGrowler20 speech

Bawa Bro try using the correct pov before u go about telling someone off in the comments section u stupid bitch
What a real dude. Such an inspiration that you can truly relate to. Thank you Casey
The most amazing person ever.
This guy, Casey came a long way and now is really an inspiration to many, and me.
casey talking is like life therapy
Casey is one of the most inspiring film maker's of all time... this guy is so down to earth and chill.. I would be so proud if I was Owen. My father had me at 15 and did what he had to in order to make it and look at him now.. Giving a ted talk..
100% sure, casey never do scripts for speeches.
No, he does.
guy Farting not this one tho.
+JOHN LI
Ok but he still scripts his speeches.
I am not sure of that...
Are you kidding? In casey's vlogs he just shows up wherever and starts talking he just doesn't give shit.
Just another reason on why I look up to Casey. He's inspired me to follow my dreams, and most importantly become a better person.
This is so very and so truly inspirational. Casey is one if my biggest idols in which I respect so much. Really changed my outlook on everyday things in and around my life.
Same here!
I'm from Manila, Philippines. And this talk made me appreciate Casey even more. Thank you for your authenticity.
My favorite movie is Walter Mitty and Casey is one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I had no idea they were connected
Cameron Worsham Same here man
Same bro
Cameron Worsham same here bro and i live in the same country as the film was taken (iceland)
OMG same!
Same.
When you get yourself out of your bubble and being in a situation that is outside of your comfort zone, that is when you know if you can handle it or not. Usually people persevere through those situations because the cost of failing is unimaginable and the outcome is usually ultimate satisfaction.
am i the only person who like never knew about him having a ted talk? been watching him for years and havent heard about it till now.
that movie broke my heart, I'm so happy you got to do that for them! thats why you are so successful, because your heart is still so thoughtful and caring and generous, you are a good person Casey, never change and never flow with the societies status of importance, you are changing lives!!
Ohh man, I never knew Casey come to Philippines and help our country, Thank you so much Casey.
I find Casey's life so exciting, and mines so monotonous. That's why I watch his vlogs.
+CrazyDracula Most of us do, probably.
Well then rewatch this video and take the moral from it - go and find opportunities, and your life will suddenly become more interesting :)
I feel that, but I'd say the only way to fix that is to go out and do shit. have experiences, live hard, take some risks, and just never stop moving.
Do more
Casey Makes Nice interesting Vlogs and lots of Traveling Videos, I Travel everyday and make Traveling Vlogs as well, but i dont fly i Drive all over US and its Fun and everyday is different and exiting, its nice that in the time we are living its easy to capture all the interesting moments with a camera I use my Note 7 Phone and it has better Video Quality and sound then my best cameras
The right side of his pants are still rolled up from riding his bike ^^
Diaminer That's what I was thinking xDD
I was like "Man I know why his pants are rolled up but those kiddo's are probably like, "Does this dude think that pant roll is still cool???"
iBeFloe Everything Casey does is cool! :D
Coolest thing about Casey is he doesn't give a shit haha
+iBeFloe pants rolls are still cool... Looks better than flappy ends lmao
thelastgameronearth 1 pant roll.
He doesn't have 2 pant rolls.
He has 1. Pant roll. He's not doing it to get rid of the flappy ends lmao
Rolling up both leg sides to make it shorter & rolling up 1 pant leg is totally different. I don't think you understand that what Casey is doing was actually a style at one point.
I love Casey Neistat's positive outlook on life. So many valuable lessons i have learnt from his story... Life is really full of opportunities
incredible film maker, cant wait for him to get to the big leagues and start making movies for major studios
that's exactly what he DOESN'T want to do!
sepirocth he is already big, it just he don't want to do what you said.
He has made movies
It already has guys. He worked for the big guys before but quit to do youtbube/Go independent
sepirocth he sold a series to HBO, did a commercial for Mercedes and does commercials for Vogue, JCREW and I think Prada? what are you on about lol
Casey is an incredibly creative guy and he has enough energy for 10 people. As hard as I try I can’t truly understand his drive. Don’t get me wrong, I really admire it. Best thing I have ever done is help raise 2 great kids. The rest is sadly full of forgettable work and struggle.
Casey is the realist person i've ever seen.
Hearing him talk about how he helped Tom with ASDF movie is heartwarming
The reason why I watch his vlogs is because he makes New York City two times more beautiful than it is, and he's...............
Well, he's unique.
You rock. 🎼🎸
"How to befuddle FOX to give money to charity", what a fucking hero.
I just gained a lot of respect for Casey.
Haha ESO didn't know you watched these! Love your videos too!

His not overhyping himself down to earth approach was really good.
Came here for Casey 😋
who else would you be coming for exactly
Haha, the Ted Talk?
casey is such an inspiration . he started as a nothing worked his ass of and made it ! this is what people have to understand we all have the same opportunity to live some trully live and others just die
Funny that TEDx Talks has 3 times the number of subscribers as Casey, but this video has half as many views compared to Casey's daily vlogs
+Mule Onwheels have you seen KSI's sub to views per video ratio? XD
+Mikat have you seen pewdiepie?
+Mule Onwheels well this came out quite awhile tho, i love casey too
+spludal Not only that, one is a TED talk, the other is a vlog. The views already show the level of interest towards each.
I love listening to Casey talk he's really smart
It's a cool thing seeing someone achieve their dreams. I know I will accomplish mine someday too!
Emma Sellers why someday? Start today!
Respect. Neistat is a rare breed.
Hahha totally winged it, classic Casey
HALA MADRID BRO!!!!
HALA Madrid I'm a Marcelo fan
Fuck madrid
KZ Zaheer and c
Its nice how Casey made it in life just by having a camera and a computer to edit videos and investing lots of time in creating daily Vlogs, and we all can do it if we chose to, I am a Vloger to I travel and I make hoe to videos.
This made me cry more than I have cried in a long time.
Go Casey go!!!!!! TEAM NEISTAT!!!!!!!!! ........yeah I have nothing really to say but.....yeah....
Teamsupertramp
+Farrel Ramadhani why not both
Israel Lopez Team Lopez :p
Farrel Ramadhani Yeah ... thanks
Mike Smith nice input !!!!! Go casey go
I love how his pant leg is still rolled up so it doesn't get caught in his bike chain. Such a Casey thing to do. He is an individual, and I really appreciate that.
It's a Skater trend... ; ) )
It simply amazes me that all those starving victims of the hurricane can actually be SMILING after having their homes destroyed, and I'm here bitching about slow internet or other first world problems. This video at the end nearly had me in tears, really puts things in perspective.
Nothing beats actual work.
IT made me cry, great story, I like Casey, he has a great talent.
You are a considerate person, Casey.
I love this guy. He makes some of my favorite videos on RUclips.
Same :)
love this because you actually talked to them about something important
He completely winged this shit 😂
Biggie Cheese this is no shit... this is Casey neistat...
I think Casey wore that same shirt in today's vlog (#37).
That's awesome! They looked so happy! We really do forget how truly blessed we are here in America.
Passion finds you.
wow I just watched this video and never knew Casey help the people from the Philippines. I have many friends who live in the Philippines. I know one of my friends parents who live in Tacloban Philippines when the typhoon hit that city. CASEY YOUR A GOOD MAN TO HELP OUT THOSE PEOPLE- TAKE MY HAT OFF TO YOU...
Is anyone watching his vlogs? I didn't know his bad luck with audio equipment went this far back.
+Raf31 I've watched his vlogs for about 6 months now. His audio in those are for the most part excellent. The poor audio in this video is totally on the Tedx crew and Audio Tech.
If you've watched his vlogs for that long you should know how many microphones he has been through. XD
2016
+Raf31 Haha
Hahahahaha
He is one of my favorite You Tube (vlogers) by far! He really brings motivation to the table and makes me feel LAZY! He is doing it right without giving many f's about what people think. He is raw talent and has good wisdom for his age. But his struggles in life is what makes him. Those that haven't struggled or have worked hard will never stop the hustle. Sooner or later your ticket will come.
I didn't like him at first. But this video made me gain a lot of respect for him.
I really do think this guy is awesome! such a great philosohpy on literally everything... positive at every turn and looks like it really pays off for him! such a great way to live life
just saw this vid now, in the last part which he gives relief goods to my countrymen.. thanks a lot Casey.. you inspired me a lot.
The 126 who disliked this were holding their device upside down.
exactly
Lmao
Yep. Idiots with phones that don't have buttons on the front.
Maybe their like button was broken ?
loool
Casey is SO inspiring. His passionate disregard for what other people think is incredible. He moves to his own music and creates based on what he feels he needs to create. Awesome!
im sad now
so, i've been watching casey neistat and his vlogs for a couple of months now, and felt inspired to vlog my own life, but after stumbling on this tedx talk by him... i can safely say he's been elevated to "HERO" status for me.
I didn't like him at first. But this video made me gain a lot of respect for him.
At first when I could hear that the talk was not scripted I was worried but I agree that it is one of the best talks I have watched! It was also really cool to hear that Ben Stiller wanted to take out the add from the video at the end! :P
So much respect for Casey.
Really like Casey, but after a while all I could hear was "like". He had to have said it a few thousand times.
That's what I thought
+misterfeeto you try talking for 25 mins to an audience
Zeus Satrid I have, several times. It takes a little rehearsing, practice, etc. I know that's not really Casey's style, but still. Not even hating though, so shut up.
+misterfeeto FUCK YOU
I CAN'T UNHEAR IT NOW
AHHHHHHHHHH
I know we all have them, but he has a few idiosyncrasies that annoy the piss out of me. Being on youtube and not handling criticism being one. Being a rabid narcissist being another. He's definitely in his element because making a daily movie about himself is what he enjoys.
Long story short I've been an active viewer of you tubers for nearly 10 years and I avoided Casey I thought he was abusing his audience and with stories like what keemstar puts out, it made me dislike him strongly.
With a tear In my eye and me binge watching his videos until 3AM I genuinely feel bereft and lost knowing I've been missing out on such an amazing human being the world doesn't deserve such creativity and such a free spirit I adore it!
we'll miss your vlogs casey ;-(
he will still mke video
and not those rushed vlogs that dont contain a lot but his amzing movies
Dominykas Ciunys whatever.his fantastic vlogs are gone.
Casey, you keep making me so very glad to live in the same world as you. You impress me more with every video I see of yours... Keep doing what you do. Your biggest fan in Michigan.. Todd Harris
Cool, he followed his heart and he found success and happiness!
Man dude i almost cried watching this; i wasn't ready for the end
Casey would flip his shit at the audio of this recording:) Great talk!
First time I've ever seen Casey nervous, the amount of times he said like.
Lol his "Thank you to all who made the relief efforts possible" credits included "Walter Mitty" for the film
watched this for a school assignment today. Tell me why I'm moved to tears by this ;-;
OMFG I DIDNT KNOW HE HAD A TED TALK!!
+cpdion you know now! :D
He's a very smart man.
such a great guy!
Love TEDx talks, love Casey. The two together? Wish I was there!
Yep
Just amazing....so powerful....Here is your moment of Zen!!!!
