Thank you for the questions about car insurance, car maintenance, toiletries, and health insurance! I'm going to pin the responses I wrote to people's comments, in case anyone else has these questions!
I forgot to mention car insurance because I only pay it twice a year, not monthly. I pay a lump sum of $1500 every 6 months, so I don't have to deal with it every month. Toiletries are included in my $350 grocery bill. I only get car maintenance every 3 months, so I didn't include that in my monthly costs, but it's never too much (probably $60-$70 for an oil change, tire rotation, etc...) unless something in my car breaks down. I always save for my 6 month insurance payment and quarterly car maintenance.
My health insurance ended earlier this year, when I quit my job. I've spent so much money on health insurance during my adult life and have used it a couple of times in the last decade, literally once or twice, so I'm in no rush to get something new and spend all that money every month. That's one of the reasons I wanted to have a good savings amount for emergencies, in case I ever have to go to the emergency room and get a crazy bill. I know some people don't agree with that. One van lifer basically got cursed out and called a bum who wastes tax payers money because she didn't have health insurance, lol. But she was like me and said she never used it when she had it. I might get it in the future, but for now, I'm living without it.
I hope this answered your questions and I hope you enjoyed the video! Do any of you have experience with Verizon prepaid accounts or Mint Mobile?

One thing you forgot to mention, is once your bills are at it lowest it frees up sooo much more of your time to focus on other endeavors that could be more lucrative & fulfilling to you than working a typical boring 9-5. Love the breakdown and your expenses. What about car/health insurance expenses? As for pre-paid, I've been using a service for 15 years and I've only had one issue in all that time, but it was with the phone vs service. I used the $45 dollar plan for years, but now have the $55 plan because it's unlimited everything. I can run my computer, laptop, printer and extra phone off my wifi-app with no problem and it's just as fast as regular internet. You can always get one of the lower plans ($30) try it out and see if you like it. If you don't, just use the phone as a backup to record, take pics, etc, and it will still connect to wi-fi when you're near one. :) I'm like you when it comes to eating out...it's so bad.

Good morning ! 😃☀️ I was going to ask you about car insurance? Also I believe I shared with you a few videos ago that I wait tables on the side (I’m a software developer by day) but , I’ve worked both fine dining and chain restaurants on the side and TRUST me ! I know what you’re talking about whenever it comes to sanitation ! I keep small bottles of hand sanitizers on me to be clean . I also wash my hands frequently because I’ve seen some things so I feel you 😂 I’m careful about going out to eat now myself and if I do eat at my restaurant I have to see the chef prepare my food myself !

Hiiiiiii 🌞🌼!! Yea, you definitely know what goes on behind those kitchen doors. Sometimes, when I'm really craving something from a particular restaurant and I see an employee walk in the kitchen, I look away when the doors open so I don't see what's going on inside the kitchen & get grossed out 😂! I'll also try not to look at their food score because if I do, I always read what they lost points for, get grossed out, and leave, lol. You're like me. When I worked in kitchens, I used to wash my hands so often they were always ashy! I'd swear I JUST put shea butter on my hands, but nope...they were ashy again.

I literally look up the health scores on the State website before I go to certain stores and restaurants, if I go at all.
I started working in the school cafeteria cancel my youngest could get on the same Public School schedule as my other two I can get on the same schedule.
That was back in 2004. I can't tell you the number of dirty uniforms I've seen. My uniform was all white bc I worked for the county, and not for one individual school.
But I would get there right after they serve breakfast and it looked like half these women just rolled out of bed.
Hubs & I decided early on that if we could make something ourselves, that we would not buy it when we go out to eat. He's a wonderful improvisational 'chef'😊
We thought with the advent of lockdown, people would be extra cautious about cleanliness but not so much.
We found if people were nasty before, they would continue to be nasty afterward.🤢

That’s wonderful! Who do you use? Maybe I’ll look into them. I was just talking to my brother and some other people about car insurance and we all pay minimum of $200 a month…some up to $400. I’m not sure why mine is so high. My brother was saying it might depend on the state you’re in, and of course the type of coverage you have. I have pretty good full coverage with USAA. Last year, I was in an accident and the collision center charged an insane amount…I believe around $10,000, more or less, but I only paid $500 and my premium didn’t go up because I had accident forgiveness. If I can find a way to lower my insurance costs, but not have super crappy coverage, then I’m all for it, so I’m open to suggestions 🙂.

I understand. Life is so expensive. Do you want to know how to get started with living in your vehicle? If so, you don't need much...especially if you don't have children who live with you. I mentioned in my recent "Car Life Essentials" video that you really only need a blanket and a determined mindset to start living in a car. You can watch that video to get a few ideas on what you need to get started. Otherwise, just end your lease and move into your car! I suggest practicing living in your car before your lease ends. It can be a little shocking, at first. My first night of testing out this lifestyle, I parked right in front of my apartment and slept in my car. I cried, lol! It felt so new and different and scary. Knowing I could go back to my apartment if it was too much and try again the next night helped me feel better those first few nights of testing out car life.
I hope this helps. I'll try to make a video on what I did to get started living in my car.

I have been a vegetarian by eating only rice and vegetables every single day to the point that now I am scared to look at animals products when I pass by the meat section in the supermarket. The look of flesh and blood of the animals and the smell just make me almost vomiting. I almost always try to avoid going through the meat area and don't want to look at whatever they have there. It looks to me like a hell on earth !!! I love animals so much and I feel the pain when they got butchered that's why I feel sorry for them, and I make my choice to become a vegetarian so that my stomach is not a graveyard for the animals. I try not to feel guilty of what I take into my system especially when I sleep at night. I feel like I was a buddhist in so many of my past lives. And this life I still want to find vegetables to eat. If I eat meat I might have nightmare with horrible scenes, and I will wake up not feeling well, sometimes I will have stomached. So, I am feeling great eating rice and vegetables as my main meals, and I will live my whole life eating like this until the last day of my life. Notice: I am just saying about my life, my choice personally !

lol, it seriously is! I had actually recorded more kitchen horror stories, but cut them out of this video because I didn't want to gross everyone out. I can definitely make a separate video with more kitchen stories, though. I'll add it to my list of video topics!
